In the emergency stairwell at the end of the hallway, the green glow of an emergency light illuminated Doctor Bai Ge's face.
She leaned against the cold metal door, her fingertips fumbling inside her pocket for a moment.
She clutched a chip in her palm, its faint blue light pulsing in time with her breath.
"The Divine Fetus is developing faster than expected."
She whispered to the chip, her voice as hushed as a shadow in the corner.
"Based on my initial assessment, it will be born in a month."
A holographic projection suddenly exploded to life in front of her.
Lord Red wore half an Evil Ghost Mask, a Bone Ring spinning rapidly on his fingertip.
"Excellent."
Beneath the mask, his purple eyes narrowed. The cold smile on his lips was laced with venom.
"Tell Louis to have the Blood Erosion Beast Group begin their hibernation early."
"They need to be well-rested to bring us back our Prey."
Doctor Bai Ge's brow furrowed slightly.
"You intend to launch a direct assault?"
