Chapter 76 - Chapter 75: Special Training at the Pokémon Center

The luxury single room at the Pokémon Center was incredibly spacious inside.

It came standard with a Pokémon training area, equipped with soundproofing panels and reinforced walls capable of absorbing skill impact.

It was outfitted with adjustable intensity training targets, as well as some basic physical fitness equipment for Trainers.

Jiang Han couldn't help but marvel; as expected of a big city, the facilities were top-notch.

Jiang Han released Sandile, Inkay, and Sneasel.

"Sandile, control the range of the Sandstorm. Try to have the sand only envelop that target." Jiang Han pointed to a dummy target in the corner.

Sandile gave a low growl and opened its mouth, letting a small stream of sand gush out.

At first, the sand flew everywhere, but soon, under Sandile's control, it began to converge like a yellow python, circling the target and finally forming a small Sandstorm that only covered the dummy.

The grains of sand swirled at high speeds within, making a "shasha" friction sound, yet not a single grain leaked outside the circle.

Jiang Han nodded; its control was improving rapidly.

Jiang Han knew that Sandile's current Sandstorm skill was far from achieving the effects of a weather-changing move; at most, it could be considered a localized Sandstorm.

That was why control was extremely important! Only by thoroughly refining it now could its true power be unleashed when it evolved and had abundant energy!

"Increase your bite force. Go."

Receiving the command, Sandile lunged at another target—a block made of a special alloy—and bit down hard with its wide mouth!

Crunch!

The ear-piercing sound of twisting metal rang out, leaving a row of deep teeth marks on the hard alloy target.

Very good.

Jiang Han turned to look at Inkay, a tm appearing in his hand.

"Inkay, this is Dark Pulse, your new move."

The tentacles on top of Inkay's head wiggled excitedly, and it happily spun in place twice. Jiang Han pressed the tm against its forehead, and the data stream turned into light and surged in.

A moment later, a flash of realization crossed Inkay's eyes. It aimed at a distant dummy, its small body pulsing.

A ring of dark purple energy waves condensed instantly, striking the target with incredible speed.

Bang!

The target didn't even have time to wobble before the area hit was directly eroded and decomposed by the energy, turning into dust and leaving behind a smooth hole.

The learning process went very smoothly.

Satisfied, Jiang Han took a pure white stone that emitted faint mental fluctuations—a psychic miracle stone—out of his space ring and tossed it to Inkay.

"This is a psychic miracle stone. Eat a little bit every day; you must be consistent."

Jiang Han knew this item's value was immeasurable. Ever since Inkay started eating these psychic miracle stones daily, Jiang Han could clearly feel that the power of its Psychic-type skills was slowly increasing!

Inkay happily caught it, wrapping its tentacles around the stone as if holding a precious treasure.

Finally, there was Sneasel.

Jiang Han handed over another tm, this one for Protect.

Sneasel's learning ability was as excellent as ever, grasping the essentials almost instantly.

"Inkay, Dark Pulse," Jiang Han ordered.

Inkay understood and immediately used its newly learned Dark Pulse toward Sneasel.

Sneasel's figure flashed as it dashed straight toward the move, but just as it was about to make contact, a pale green energy barrier appeared out of thin air, perfectly blocking the attack.

Then, it turned toward the target and swung its claws.

Jiang Han originally thought it would use its claws for a physical attack, but in the next second, the temperature in the air plummeted.

Three crystal-clear ice crystals condensed in front of Sneasel and shot out with a whistling sound, accurately pinning themselves into the head of the target!

Thud! Thud! Thud!

With three muffled sounds, the ice crystals embedded themselves deep into the target.

A flash of pleasant surprise crossed Jiang Han's eyes.

Ice Shard!

This was a completely unexpected gain.

Although Ice Shard's power wasn't top-tier, its advantage lay in being a priority move. It was extremely fast and could often produce unexpected results in actual combat.

After a round of training, both Sandile and Inkay successfully leveled up!

Seeing his three Pokémon steadily growing stronger, the sense of urgency in Jiang Han's heart didn't diminish at all.

The sharp gaze of Steven's Lucario and the air currents whipped up during its battle were all reminders of how fragile the human body is in high-level Pokémon battles.

The aftershocks of a battle could easily take an ordinary person's life; the sheer pressure alone could make it hard to breathe.

If a Trainer's physical fitness couldn't keep up, they might even become a burden to their Pokémon at a critical moment.

This was something Jiang Han's pride could never tolerate.

He took off his shirt, revealing a lean and solid physique, strapped several heavy weights onto his body, and began training on the floor.

Sweat soon soaked his black hair, sliding down the well-defined lines of his muscles.

Only the sound of heavy breathing and the aching sensation of muscles being pushed to their limits remained in the training room.

"...Ninety-seven, ninety-eight, ninety-nine, one hundred!"

Jiang Han growled as he finished the last push-up, his arm muscles trembling slightly.

He ripped the weights off his body and threw them heavily onto the floor with a loud clang.

Phew!

He let out a long breath, expelling hot air from his lungs. He picked up a nearby towel and casually wiped the sweat from his face.

Just then.

Ding-dong—

The doorbell rang abruptly.

Who is it?

Jiang Han's gaze instantly became alert, his muscles instinctively tensing.

He didn't head for the door immediately, but instead tilted his head to listen for any movement outside.

Total silence.

He lightened his footsteps, walked to the door, and peered through the peephole.

Standing outside was Nurse Joy from the Pokémon Center; she seemed to be somewhat awkwardly adjusting her nurse's cap.

Jiang Han's vigilance eased slightly. At the very least, this time he didn't instinctively palm a dagger like he had before.

He pulled the door open.

Nurse Joy was about to ring the bell again when the door suddenly opened, leaving her raised hand frozen in mid-air.

The scene before her caused her brain to instantly crash.

Jiang Han was wearing nothing but a pair of black shorts, with a towel casually draped around his neck.

His body, having just undergone high-intensity training, was still radiating heat. Sweat soaked the black hair on his forehead, which he carelessly brushed back.

His already perfect physique, with muscles engorged after intense exercise, showed clear and smooth lines for every muscle. It was full of power yet not overly exaggerated—so sexy it made one's heart skip a beat.

"Is there something you need?" Jiang Han used the towel to wipe the sweat from his chin again, his voice slightly raspy from the exercise.

"Ah!"

Nurse Joy gave a short cry of surprise like a startled rabbit, instinctively covering her face with her hands, yet her fingers involuntarily spread apart.

A wave of heat rushed from her neck to the top of her head. Her cheeks turned bright red at a visible speed, the blush spreading all the way to her small earlobes.

Her heart was thumping wildly, nearly jumping out of her throat.
