Chapter 144: The Prophet-Teacher and the Ghost of the Uchiha Oversee the Field;

Tobirama vs. Minato!

Konoha, First Martial Arena.

In the past, the Academy's graduation ceremonies were mere

formalities—bureaucratic boxes to be checked. Today, they had become the most

anticipated events in the village. This was no longer a dry examination of basic

skills; it was a "Results Exhibition" combined with "Elite Competitive

Performance."

It tapped directly into the collective psyche of the shinobi and civilians

alike, who yearned to see the next generation grow and felt a deep "stakeholder"

interest in Konoha's future.

To accommodate the surging crowds, Hiruzen Sarutobi—the Prophet-Teacher—had

authorized the reactivation of the massive First Martial Arena. As he ascended

the high platform, a roar erupted from the stands. People jumped and cheered,

expressing a level of devotion usually reserved for wartime heroes.

"Lord Hokage!" "Prophet-Teacher!"

Hiruzen waved with a practiced, grandfatherly smile. This stage belonged to the

students, but it was built by the Hokage. Every display of a child's progress

was a direct, visual "Performance Review" of Hiruzen's administration.

Seisui Uchiha (Tobirama) and the rising star Minato Namikaze were scheduled for

a headline duel. It was a perfect display of Konoha's "Inheritance of Will."

Standard-bearers like these were the most effective "PR Assets" for Hiruzen's

"Soft Power" campaign.

"Even Mito-sama is here," Hiruzen noted, scanning the VIP section. He had

reserved a seat for her, but seeing her sitting in the common stands with little

Yamato (Tenzo) made him smile. The founding generation really did have a

"High-Level Moral Standard"—she didn't want the boy to feel entitled or special.

"Hiruzen, based on my intelligence, the quality of our Academy graduates has

already surpassed the other villages by a significant margin," Danzo Shimura—the

"Naturally Evil" Assistant—muttered from his seat. "In three to five years, once

this batch matures, we will have the 'Initial Capital' to launch a proactive

war. With proper deployment, we can handle a full-scale offensive from two major

villages simultaneously. Three, if we play defensively."

Despite being by Hiruzen's side for years, Danzo's first instinct upon seeing

military growth was always "Armed Conflict."

"You only see the surface-level ROI, Danzo," Hiruzen said, shaking his head.

"Why would we launch a proactive war? Even if we win and loot some resources,

the 'Ideological Split' it would cause within the village... is that worth it?"

"As leaders, we benefit from the cohesion provided by the 'Will of Fire.' We

must play by the established rules of the game. At the very least, our public

actions and our underlying philosophy cannot be at odds."

Danzo blinked. If they became powerful but didn't fight, wasn't that a "Waste of

Potential"? "Hiruzen, you're missing the 'Strategic Window'! Look at Minato,

Seisui, Kakashi, Shisui... these kids are future squad leaders. Our mid-level

strength is skyrocketing. This is Konoha's Golden Generation. We should strike

while the other villages lack similar 'Peak Talents'."

Down in the arena, students were cycling through. Some showed mature, high-level

Five-Element releases; others displayed lethal Kenjutsu. Even those with lower

combat metrics didn't look defeated; they confidently demonstrated "Supportive

Skillsets" like battlefield culinary arts or weapon maintenance. In the old

Konoha, these kids would have been considered Chunin-ready. This was why Danzo

was so anxious.

"Other villages will produce a few 'Individual Geniuses,' but those are

anomalies," Hiruzen said calmly. "A cluster of geniuses and a solid corps of

shinobi require 'Mature and Rich Soil' to incubate. That is Konoha's competitive

advantage. But how do you think we built this soil? We fed it money."

"If we can take the enemy's gold and use it to nourish our shinobi and our

infrastructure, that is a victory in a much larger war. The battlefield isn't

just about killing. As for the war you want? It will come. But it should be

framed as a 'Defensive Counter-Strike.'"

Hiruzen smiled. "The Land of Rain is currently cozying up to our Administration.

Fire Country nobles have already begun 'Seeding the Market' with our Sovereign

Sage Pills. While major village nobles are still acting 'dignified,' the Rain

nobles don't care about optics. Backed by their nobility, Hanzo will eventually

have to negotiate a 'Strategic Alliance' with us."

"Once we start selling 'Sovereign Sage Pills' in the Land of Rain—a hub that

neighbors three major powers and lacks Konoha's 'Sensitive Political

Branding'—the product will naturally leak into other nations. The 'Dead Money'

of foreign nobles will become 'Active Capital' for Konoha. Money only has value

when it flows; otherwise, it's just paper."

Danzo stared at Hiruzen. His old friend was playing a game far more "Shadowy"

than his own.

As the ceremony concluded, graduation forehead protectors were issued. Kakashi

and Asuma chose to defer for another year of "Skill Polishing." But the

atmosphere in the arena reached a fever pitch.

The main event was starting.

A Flying Raijin Kunai thudded into the center of the arena. A flash of gold

followed—Minato Namikaze appeared. He smiled at the academy elites. "Miss me?

It's been a few months. I see you've all increased your 'Power Metrics'."

"Don't try to intimidate us! We're not the same kids you tested last year!"

Asuma shouted like a general. "This time, we won't gank you. We've sent our

representative, Seisui-senpai! He's going to handle your 'Performance Review'

personally!"

The students cleared the field, leaving only Seisui Uchiha (Tobirama/Izuna)

standing across from Minato.

Tobirama (as Seisui) looked at the Flying Raijin kunai. So, my technique has

found a worthy successor, he thought with a flicker of pride.

"Did you invent this Flying Raijin yourself?" Tobirama asked, playing the role

of the curious youth.

"Of course not. It belongs to the Second Hokage," Minato said, his eyes

narrowing. As a sensor, he could feel it—the chakra within Seisui was... wrong.

It didn't feel like a boy's; it felt like a vast, ancient ocean.

"I have a 'Strategic Confidence' that I can master it even more thoroughly than

the Second Lord, though I'm still in the 'Beta Testing' phase," Minato added.

"You're strong, Seisui. I won't hold back."

"I should warn you," Tobirama said, drawing Izuna's old blade, Hitomi-Enmaru. "I

am very familiar with the Flying Raijin. Being an Uchiha, I've... studied the

counters."

The Duel Begins.

Minato's hand moved in a blur, filling the air with Flying Raijin Kunai.

Inside Seisui's mind, Izuna took the helm. The synergy between the two was now

seamless.

"Leave the Flying Raijin to me," Izuna's spirit growled. "I spent my whole life

figuring out how to beat that 'Naturally Evil' technique."

Minato vanished. He reappeared behind Seisui, his hand reaching for the grey

"win-condition" ribbon on Seisui's arm.

Swoosh!

Seisui (Izuna) didn't even turn around. He leaned his head back, his Three-Tomoe

Sharingan spinning with a "Dominant Aura" that seemed to project a physical

barrier. It was a "Heart-Killing" level of confidence.

Minato didn't flinch. He closed his eyes, relying on his "Spatial Intuition" to

avoid the Genjutsu trap, and continued his strike. He knew most Uchiha needed a

moment to weave signs.

He was wrong.

Seisui's blade, Hitomi-Enmaru, ignited with a ghostly grey fire. This was

Ametensu—Izuna's signature spiritual flame.

BOOM!

Minato flashed away to a kunai above Seisui's head. Mid-air, he performed the

Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique. A rain of "Flying Raijin" markers saturated the

area.

In the mental space, Tobirama (the strategist) began "Data-Reporting" for Izuna

(the combatant). "Marker at 12 o'clock. Three at the rear. He's preparing a

'Multi-Thread' spatial pincer. I'm prepping the counter-Genjutsu."

This wasn't a fair fight. It was a "Dual-Thread Processing" masterclass.

In the VIP Stands.

Mito Uzumaki and a hidden Madara Uchiha (watching via White Zetsu) both felt

their hearts skip a beat.

The Kenjutsu... the posture... even the way the grey flames licked the blade...

it was a carbon copy of Izuna Uchiha. But then, Seisui performed a Water Style:

Water Severing Wave—a technique so compressed and sharp it could only be

Tobirama's.

What in the world is this boy? both veterans wondered simultaneously.

Back in the arena, Minato was panting. This was the first time since his

training sessions with the Prophet-Teacher that his Flying Raijin had been so

thoroughly countered. Every time he jumped, Seisui was already there, his blade

poised at the exit point as if he had read the "Source Code" of the technique.

"It's like he's lost everything before," Minato thought. "His movements are so

stable... so 'Post-Traumatic' in their caution."

"Finish it," Tobirama whispered in the mind-link.

Seisui (Izuna) activated "Dark Yatagarasu" (An-Yatagarasu). An ominous

purple-black aura erupted from his body, his physical stats doubling instantly.

It looked like he was being possessed by a War God.

Minato didn't panic. He had been trained by Hiruzen's "Gravity Fields" and "Boil

Release" pressure. He held his ground, his "Mental Fortitude" unshakable.

But the "Naturally Evil" trap had already been set. The grey flames from earlier

had left "Spiritual Residue" on the ground. As Minato jumped to his final

marker, his chakra stalled for a fraction of a second—a "Dimensional Latency."

In that blink, Seisui swapped places with a "Shadow Wraith" clone.

Snip.

The grey ribbon on Minato's arm fluttered to the ground.

Silence. Total silence.

Minato looked at his severed sleeve and sighed. "I lose."

"It wasn't a fair metric," Tobirama said, reverting to his calm Seisui persona.

"My situation is... unique. But you are incredible. Truly a successor to the

Second Hokage's legacy."

Minato smiled. "Actually, I saw some of the Prophet-Teacher's style in you—the

multi-layered composite attacks. We should train with him together sometime."

Tobirama's eye twitched. Me? Learn from Hiruzen? The 'Balanced Master' has

really brainwashed this kid.

The Aftermath.

Madara Uchiha, watching from the shadows, was practically vibrating with

emotion. That was Izuna's chakra. I'm certain of it. He felt a desperate urge to

rush out and claim this "Legacy Asset," but he restrained himself. If he

revealed he was alive, the Five Nations would unite against him instantly.

I must prove my 'Moon's Eye' plan is the only way, Madara thought, his mind

becoming "Beautifully Insane." I will prove that the 'Chains of Hatred' cannot

be broken. I will make the alliance between these villages crumble, and then I

will reunite with Izuna in a world of dreams!

On the arena floor, the mood shifted from celebration to cold, professional

tension.

The Academy students—Asuma, Kakashi, Guy, Shisui, and Obito—didn't leave.

Instead, they formed a phalanx behind Seisui. Behind them stood scores of

students whose families had been victimized by "Root" abductions.

The Prophet-Teacher looked down from the balcony, his eyes meeting Seisui's.

Seisui (Tobirama) stepped forward, his voice amplified by chakra so that it

reached every corner of the village.

"Lord Hokage!"

"I, Seisui Uchiha, High Commissioner candidate and representative of the Konoha

Youth, hereby IMPEACH the Assistant, Danzo Shimura, for high-level bureaucratic

corruption, human rights violations, and 'Naturally Evil' conduct against the

clans of Konoha!"

The arena went deathly silent. The "Prophet-Teacher's" grand exhibition had just

turned into a revolutionary tribunal.
