Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6

"Good afternoon, Mr. Gunawan and Mrs. Veronika."

"Welcome to my mansion."

"Thank you for inviting us here," said Gunawan.

"With pleasure," replied Damian with a cool smile, his eyes sharp.

Footsteps rang out from the stairs. She walked gracefully in 5cm heels, her maroon dress revealing her fair skin.

"Honey, come here. We're having lunch with my business partner," Damian invited with a smile, pretending not to know about Raisa and Gunawan's family relationship.

"With a sweet smile, Raisa sat down next to Damian.

"Mr. Gunawan, Mrs. Veronika, this is my future wife," Damian said, introducing Raisa.

"Raisa..." He just smiled, not extending his hand.

"Come on, eat!" Damian ordered.

In such a large room, only the sound of forks and knives could be heard, as was customary.

"Mr. Damian, how's our cooperation going? Will we sign it now?" asked Gunawan.

"There's still plenty of time, I don't like anyone interrupting my meal!" Damian stated firmly, his expression cold.

Gunawan fell silent.

Raisa didn't know what plan Damian was formulating; she simply followed without asking anything.

"Excuse me, I'm going to the restroom for a moment," Raisa excused herself.

Raisa got up and headed straight for the restroom, but Veronika followed her.

"Raisa, wait!" Veronika called.

"What's wrong?" Raisa asked sharply.

"You're so arrogant, you don't remember us, huh!" Veronika snapped in a low voice.

"Did you ever remember me, huh?" Raisa asked, smiling wryly.

"All this time you've been torturing and insulting me, so why should I remember you!" Raisa continued.

Veronika was about to throw a slap, but Raisa slapped her hand away.

"You've tortured and insulted me enough! Now I won't let a single slap land on my face or anywhere else!" Raisa screamed.

Veronika pulled her hand away, gasping for breath.

"Ivana should be Mr. Damian's wife, not you, Raisa. You're just a lowly woman, an orphan!" Veronika insulted.

"I may be an orphan, but I'm not as lowly as your daughter."

"Does auntie know? That Ivana has been selling her crotch to rich men? I bet you don't know, huh?" Raisa sneered, with a sarcastic smile.

"My daughter isn't like that! She's a good woman. One I raised," Veronika defended her daughter.

"You'll find out soon, don't regret it!" Raisa taunted.

Veronika grabbed her hand, wanting to kill Raisa right now, but Damian was protecting her.

After Gunawan and Veronika returned, Raisa became cold again, not asking many questions.

"Where are you going? Sit down," Damian said.

Raisa sat back down, as Damian instructed.

"I invited them here not for lunch, but to get Gunawan's autograph," Damian said.

"What do you mean?" Raisa asked, not understanding.

"To restore the name of the company your father left behind, which should be yours," Damian replied.

"Thank you," Raisa said.

"When the house and company are mine, I will repay the debt to you, since you bought me. Or, I will hand over the company and house to you as compensation," Raisa continued.

"What do you mean? You think I don't have enough companies?" Damian asked.

"No, that's not what I meant. You must have a lot of companies, they're everywhere. But I'm handing over that company as compensation, because you bought me back then," Raisa said.

After saying that, Raisa left Damian speechless.

"At least if I leave here, I won't be burdened, because I feel like I owe you," Raisa thought.

After Raisa left, Damian was confused by Raisa's words.

Damian went into his private room and told Zack to come there.

"What's wrong?" Zack asked.

"There's something strange about Raisa," Damian said.

"Strange? Why?" Zack asked, confused.

Then Damian told him about Raisa's strange behavior lately.

"Could it be..." Zack was cut off.

"Could it be, what?" Damian asked curiously.

"Miss Raisa will run away because she feels she no longer owes you anything after giving you her company," Zack said.

Damian was silent for a moment, processing Zack's words.

"But if she leaves, where will she go? She doesn't have a family," Damian said.

"A woman, if she's determined, will leave. Even if she has no purpose," Zack said.

"You're right."

Damian immediately ran outside, afraid that Raisa would leave the mansion.

"Raisa!" Damian called.

But there was no answer, only silence.

Damian opened Raisa's room and found her fast asleep, her eyes puffy.

"You're crying, aren't you? I'm sorry, Raisa. I can't tell you right now."
