Chapter 30 - CHAPTER 30: Truth Or Dare

KAYLA'S POV (continuing):

As Leon and Mia kissed, everyone was happy and cheering for them, except one person. Aya.

She quietly excused herself and went to the restroom as it happened. I don't know why she's acting this way. She was so happy just a few moments ago, but everything changed the moment they kissed. I think she had a crush on Leon… maybe that's why she's reacting like this.

Leon spoke up, licking his lips proudly.

"Now… let's spin the bottle again and see where it stops."

The bottle spun and landed on Annie. She chose truth.

Sevi spoke up.

"Did you ever date someone?"

"Is that even a question?" She rolled her eyes. "Yes, of course."

"Oh really? You don't look like someone who's romantically interested in anyone."

He teased her and chuckled.

"Do you want me to backhand you on your baby face?"

We burst out laughing. Sevi looked shocked.

"Baby face?! I don't have a baby face!" He stood up, defending himself.

"I have a model face…" He posed dramatically like a model.

"Okay, sit down, my hot model," Theo said jokingly, pulling him back onto the chair.

Leon spun the bottle again… and it landed on me.

Leon spoke up.

"Kayla, since you're our president, I'll give you a special choice. You have to choose between two options. First, dare: you have to kiss someone in this room."

Everyone started cheering.

"And second, truth: you have to reveal your secret crush."

The cheering grew even louder.

Wait a minute… crush?! That means I'd have to reveal that Hari is my crush?! Oh God, no. No one can know that. It would be a complete mess if they found out.

Without thinking… I kissed Theo.

Annie's and Sevi's eyes widened in shock, like they'd seen a ghost, while our classmates cheered loudly.

After a moment, I pulled away. The kiss was gentle, nothing romantic. It was just for the game, nothing special to me.

I don't know what Theo felt, but I'm certain about my own feelings.

I only love Hari, and I always will. It was always going to be Hari for me, no one else. I kept consoling my heart that this kiss meant nothing. I'm married and loyal to Hari in my mind and heart. He's irreplaceable; no one can ever take his place.

Even if, to him, I'm not even a friend… it doesn't matter.

He's still mine, just like the song:

I'm his, and he's mine.

In the end, it's him and I.
