THEO's POV:
During P.T. time.
I sit on the bench beside Kayla.
Kayla suddenly screams in pain.
Kayla: Oh God, this is so tiring!!!
My feet!!!
I don't even have sneakers, I'm wearing heels and doing P.T.!
The teacher shouts.
Teacher: Enough break! Your running time starts now!!
Kayla's eyes widen in shock.
Kayla: Running?!
How am I supposed to run in these heels?!
I sit down on the floor, take off my sneakers, pull off her heels, and slide her feet into my sneakers and tie them perfectly.
Kayla looks at me with concern.
Kayla: What are you going to wear?
I smile gently.
Theo: I'll be fine running barefoot.

In class.
While the lecture is going on, a student from Section A enters and whispers something to the math teacher, handing him a piece of paper. He turns to us.
Teacher: Class! I'll call out some names. Stand up if your name is called!
Teacher: Sia Kayla Wayne!
Maria Annabelle Fanning!
Lucas Sevi Reiner!
Theo Hayashi!
We all stand up, knowing very well why we're being called.
Teacher: To the guidance office!

At the guidance office.
The principal sips her tea, then turns to us with a frown.
Principal: Do you all know why you're here today?
Students have been complaining about your continuous bullying behavior, and it's affecting our school's image!
She slams her hand on the desk.
I step forward, trying to calm the situation.
Theo: I sincerely apologize on behalf of all of us.
The principal turns her sharp gaze to Kayla.
Principal: Do you know what happened to the student whose head you slammed against the wall?
He's still in a coma.
Kayla steps forward and speaks bluntly.
Kayla: Still didn't die.
I immediately pull her back and rush to defend her.
Theo: S...she meant… thank God he's alive. O..or she wouldn't be able to forgive herself…
Sweat beads on my forehead.
The principal clearly doesn't believe me, but she lets us go.
Back in class, I let out a sigh of relief and turn to Kayla, smiling gently, even though what she did almost got us all suspended from high school.
Theo: Next time… please let me handle situations like this, okay?
She rolls her eyes and nods.
