Penelope was running for her life as some shady guards earnestly chased her until she hit a dead end in an alley. She is panicked and doesn't know what to do until she sees an unfamiliar figure attack the guards from behind.
Out of the shadows emerged a blonde, brown eyed boy who looked rough in his ragged clothes and messy hair.
The boy, who was just a commoner, approached the princess and reached out for her hand.
"I am Leonardo. What is your name?" He asked politely.
Penelope was hesitant at first. Could she really trust this boy named Leonardo? He did help her take down those guards that her parents sent after her anyways. She reached our for his hand and replied him, "Penelope. Thank you for helping me."
"My pleasure Penelope. " Leonardo said. "So where do you live, exactly?"
"I am from the palace."
"You're royalty?"
"Yes, but i had to make an escape because my parents wanted me to marry someone that I'm not interested in. That's why they sent guards after me."
"Oh, so you're just a fugitive royal, aren't you?"
"Unfortunately, it seems like I am a fugitive at this point."
"Let's talk about this at my place. It gets dangerous at night."
Penelope put on her cloak on, as they held hands and ran to Leonardo's house together.
Leonardo lived in a small hut with his mother in a farmland outside of town. He was a nineteen year old, hardworking boy and cared for the farm animals and his mother very much.
Leonardo opened the barns wooden door as it creaked loudly. He set a pile of hay on the ground for them to lay on for the night.
"I hope you're comfortable here." Leonardo asked.
"Yes, this will do. Thank you." Penelope replied gratefully.
They layed on the gathering of hay together and nattered for a while, until they both fell into a sound sleep.
