Chapter 19 – The Vision of the Fall

At the very end of the valley, they found a wall made of black obsidian. It bore a single, massive glyph of a Phoenix with its wings encompassing a galaxy.

When Lakan and Bing'er touched it together, the world dissolved.

They were no longer in the valley. They were in a Dream-scape of the Primordial Era. They saw the Dragon God, a creature of Nine Elements and world-crushing scale, roaring at the sky. Opposite him was the Supreme God King Phoenix God.

The battle was incomprehensible. The Dragon God tore through space fire with better fire, the Dragon's lightning with perfect lightning. It was the Ultimate Creation vs. Ultimate Destruction.

They saw the moment of the Fall. They saw the Dragon God, fearing the Phoenix's ability to infinitely adapt, cast a seal that stripped the Phoenix Clan of their God-King status, killing the Blue Devil Birds to ensure the "Core" of Time and Space could never be reunited.

The vision faded, and they were standing before a translucent, majestic figure. He looked like a man made of pure solar flares, but his eyes were tired. He wore a feather-woven robes as if made out of fire.

The Phoenix God of this Generation!

When they reached the Obsidian Glyph, Ling Yue didn't know it was the Phoenix God. As the Divine Consciousness manifested, she felt her legs give out.

"What... is this?" Ling Yue gasped, her forehead touching the ground involuntarily. "Is this a Rank 99 Class? No... it's higher. It's as if the sky itself has taken a human shape."

She couldn't look at him. To her, the figure was a blinding, roaring white light of pure authority. Only Lakan and Shui Bing'er, shielded by their Phoenix Bloodlines and the Twin Kampilans, could see the man in the feather-woven robes.

"Are you the Phoenix God?" Lakan asked. His brows furrowed in wonder.

"I am but a shadow of what we once were," while shaking his head, the God spoke, his voice sounding like a thousand birds in flight. He looked at Lakan, then at the Twin Kampilans. "You have forged the ancestors into your blades. You have gathered the blood of the Nine Hells and the Seven Heavens. And you... you have the Adarna— is it? A soul that even the Dragon God could not predict."

But you have gathered the blood of the ancestors. My core is yours to inherit—when you are strong enough to carry the sun without burning your hands."

The God stepped closer to Lakan. "The Dragon God's seal is strong. I am a Second-Class God because the throne of the King is locked. But in you... I see the key. You have gathered the blood of the ancestors. My core is yours to inherit—when you are strong enough to carry the sun without burning your hands." "

"I will break it," Lakan said, his voice flat and certain. "I will take your God Core when I am ready. I will restore the Blue Devil Birds to their rightful place. And the Phoenix Clan will never have to hide in a graveyard again."

The Phoenix God smiled, a radiant, warm expression. He reached out and touched Lakan's forehead, leaving a faint, golden mark—the Seed of the Supreme God King.

"Return to me when your 'Flow' encompasses the world, Lakan Diwa. I will be waiting in the heavens to hand you my crown." and then vanished.

The pressure lifted, leaving Ling Yue panting and drenched in cold sweat. "Lakan... whatever that was... we must never speak of it outside the Supreme Pontiff's presence. That was beyond the realm of Douluos."

As the portal began to pull them back to the mortal world, Lakan looked at Shui Bing'er, who was holding her new Soul Bone with trembling hands.

"Ready to go back to Wuhun City?" Lakan asked, his playful "Gojo" smirk returning. "We have a lot of people to shock. And I think Bibi Dong is going to have some questions about why her 'Genius' just came back with the aura of a God."

Shui Bing'er smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder as the Cyan-Silver light enveloped them. "As long as you're the one explaining the 'marriage' part to the Supreme Pontiff, I'm ready."
