BWDC:SDDK Chapter 18: Mission [Bane: Origins]
At this very moment, the system light screen within Ren Ichimonji's field of vision took on an unsettling shade of red.
In most cases, red signifies danger.
And the supercriminal associated with the mission before his eyes was, without a doubt, one of Gotham City's most dangerous supervillains.
Bane.
A man who uses Venom injections to gain strength far beyond that of an ordinary human, possesses intellect exceeding the norm, and boasts combat skills on par with Batman himself. In his debut, he defeated Batman with absolute dominance, creating one of Batman's most iconic "famous scenes"—the breaking of the Bat's back.
Bane was undeniably an extremely dangerous supervillain.
Furthermore, unlike the Riddler, who served as the counterpart to Kaito Kid, the Riddler and Kid didn't possess much actual combat power; their danger levels weren't particularly high in a physical sense.
But Bane was a thoroughbred menace.
Even if it were just a counterpart in Beika Town, their combat prowess would likely far exceed Ren Ichimonji's current capabilities————

Ren whispered.
His expression instantly became grave.
Seeing this, Suzuki Sonoko and Mouri Ran, who were standing nearby, couldn't help but grow tense.

Ren's gaze swept quickly over the contents of the system panel.
Finally, it landed on the line in the notes about [Azrael] subbing in.

Why did a [Bane: Origins] supervillain mission pop up just because he looked at Suzuki Sonoko?
Could it be that Suzuki Sonoko was Bane?
Ren's gaze shifted back to Sonoko.

This caused Sonoko, who thought Ren had just been teasing her, to raise her eyebrows and turn serious.
Then, Sonoko's face turned completely red in a flash.
"Do you currently have a boyfriend?"
Ren asked.
He wasn't very well-versed in these social games, so instead of beating around the bush, he figured a direct approach was faster.
Although Bruce Wayne, the Batman of most universes, was a master of the social scene and romance.
The Batman of Beika Town was definitely not of that variety.
He had no experience in this area and was currently just trying the simplest and most convenient method to complete the mission issued by the system————
If this didn't work, he would have to consider looking for Makoto Kyogoku's phone number later.
Doesn't that "god-man" Makoto Kyogoku like to travel around the world challenging masters?
Wouldn't that be simple? He could just introduce Makoto Kyogoku to Kyoto to pick a fight with Yaiba Kurogane or Soshi Okita VI from "Legend of the Swordmaster." If even those two couldn't beat Kyogoku...
Weren't there still the invincible Lupin III and his gang?
