Han got up slowly from the crater where he had been punched. His mask was completely blown off, revealing his face.
His armor had broken off in many places due to Choza's powerful chakra enhanced punch. Pieces of the broken armor lay scattered on the ground around him.
Shunsui was pretty sure that if it was anyone else without the armor, they would have literally been killed by that punch.
The force behind it was massive, and only the jinchuriki's tough body and regeneration allowed him to survive.
Before Han could move forward to attack again, he was once more paralyzed by Shikaku who was biding his time from a safe distance. The shadow possession jutsu took hold firmly, locking the jinchuriki in place.
Shikaku shouted, "Now Choza!"
Choza remembered Shunsui's words about how he could play this game. The large man focused on the technique that had been explained through the mind link. 'You can also create real corporal shadow clones during this game.'
He grinned widely as the idea clicked in his mind. This was a perfect chance to overwhelm their strong opponent without using too much of his own chakra.
Several shadow clones of Choza were formed as he stared at his shadow on the ground. The clones looked just like him and jumped at Han with full force. They all used partial expansion jutsu at the same time.
It took minimal chakra compared to him not even being able to create so many shadow clones if he had used the normal jutsu. He would have died of chakra exhaustion in that case.
The real Choza muttered, "Partial Expansion Jutsu barrage."
All the clones and the real Choza began punching rapidly at the non moving Han. At the last second, Shikaku released his hold on the jinchuriki so the punches could land with full power.
No one stopped as they kept punching rapidly at the ground. Dust rose high into the air, and the ground cracked under the force of so many heavy hits.
Trees nearby shook from the vibrations while rocks broke into smaller pieces. Han's body was battered again and again as fists the size of boulders slammed into him from every direction.
As the dust cleared slowly, Han was lying on the ground, bloody, wounded, and not moving. It looked like the battle might be over for him.
But then Choza froze in place, and so did the rest of the Konoha team as well as the Iwa jonin who was still fighting Inoichi.
A red chakra came out of Han, slowly healing his wounds. The energy wrapped around his body. He got up as a single chakra tail was formed behind him.
And then another formed. Han opened his mouth and then exhaled large amounts of steam. The steam was hot and powerful, spreading out quickly. It made all the shadow clones of Choza dissolve and disappear in an instant.
The clones faded away as the heat melted them. Choza immediately backed away, knowing that even his rock hard skin would be melted at the hands of the boil release. The steam burned the air itself and left the ground smoking where it touched.
The other Iwa jonin smirked at Inoichi and said, "Even you all cannot do much against a jinchuriki. Good luck defeating him."
His voice was full of confidence, as if victory was now certain for their side. Inoichi did not reply as he weaved hand signs and released a fire style phoenix flower jutsu.
The Iwa jonin created a wall to block the attack. But the wall blocked his view of half the battlefield, giving Shikaku the opening he needed.
Shikaku who was busy fighting with Han and communicated with Inoichi using telepathy used the shadow formed by the earth wall to increase the range of his shadow. He used the shadow to create shadow tendrils that went through the wall and through the jonin's body.
"Shadow stitching jutsu," Shikaku said as the Iwa jonin died instantly from the sharp shadows piercing him. The enemy fell to the ground without any more words. Genma and Guy had also dealt with the Iwa genin. The only one that remained was the jinchuriki Han.
Everyone heard Shunsui's voice through Inoichi's voice transmission jutsu in their minds. "Use your chakra to not attack him but to defend yourself and running away from him. I have got a plan." Shunsui said this calmly, as if he had everything under control.
Inoichi opened another voice channel with only Shikaku. "Do we trust the kid? Or do we go with formation three and deal with the jinchuriki ourselves?"
Shikaku replied thoughtfully, "We can deal with him but we would risk him fully transforming if we go all out. And I am not sure we would be able to deal with him fully transformed while protecting the genin. Let's see what the kid is doing and trust him." Shikaku said this after thinking about the risks carefully. The team decided to follow Shunsui's plan for now.
And thus Han attacked them with renewed anger. The three jonins used defensive jutsus to protect themselves or distract Han.
Han kept on using his boil release on large amounts that dissolved the ground, the trees, everything in sight. The hot steam melted rocks and turned trees into ash quickly.
Shunsui smiled after a couple of minutes as he shouted, "Get away from him and run!!!"
The jonins looked at each other before nodding and running in tow with the three genins. They moved fast through the forest path, jumping over roots and broken ground.
"The jinchuriki would be after us..." Inoichi said with some worry in his voice. Only for Shunsui to mutter, "Three... two... one... Boom!"
And just then a huge explosion took place behind them, almost enveloping them. Choza was fast enough to create an earth dome to protect them all. The dome shook from the force but held strong as the explosion roared outside.
"What the fuck did you do Shunsui?!" Choza asked with wide eyes and a shocked voice.
"I did not think that it would cause an explosion that big," Shunsui said, waving his hand embarrassedly. His face showed a mix of surprise and slight guilt as he looked back at the destruction. If they were a second later in running away, they took would have been caught up in that explosion.
