Ruoxi waited patiently for Dulce to gather what fruit he wanted, taking the half-rotting ones and the ones with insect holes with glee. He was only satisfied when he chased off Kath'tan into the cover of the trees to hide from the less-than-savory fruit he found he couldn't completely dodge.
"Do you want to eat fruit?" Dulce asked brightly, gathering some pears in a checkered piece of cloth.
Ruoxi moved to a different blanket that wasn't stained with fruit, choosing one that wasn't under a fruiting tree. "I'll eat whatever you give me." He said with a wink, getting comfortable again.
Dulce carried enough from the pile he had saved, making sure to pick out the best ones. He then walked around the pond to the distributary feeding the pond. Flowing water was cleaner, so he washed the fruit in the bubbling stream, rolling up the sleeves of his sweater so he wouldn't get it wet.
