As the Supreme Demon Sword circled in the sky, everyone's breathing tightened.
It was terrifyingly quiet.
The battlefield, which had been filled with explosions only moments ago, suddenly seemed to lose all sound.
No one dared to move.
No one dared to speak too loudly.
Above them, the ancient sword slowly rotated in the crimson-stained sky. Its blade was broken and covered in traces of rust, yet the killing intent pouring from it was so overwhelming that even the strongest cultivators present felt their scalps go numb.
The wind had stopped.
The clouds seemed to freeze.
Even the dust floating through the battlefield hung unnaturally in the air.
"Whose sword is this?"
A trembling voice finally broke the silence.
No one answered.
Another elder stared at the ancient weapon with disbelief written across his face.
"What shocking killing intent. I didn't expect such an ancient weapon to appear again today."
His voice was low.
