Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Sword of Promised Victory

Today is the annual Awakening Day.

Inside the pagoda, Arthur was in his private room, looking down from the window.

A sea of parents and children crowded around the Spirit Conduction Tower.

"Awakening a Martial Soul..." Arthur murmured to himself, a flash of anticipation in his eyes.

Having transmigrated to this World for six years, he could finally awaken his Martial Soul. His future depended on whether he could awaken a powerful Martial Soul this time.

Every human on the Douluo Continent can awaken their Martial Soul through an Awakening Ceremony at the age of six.

A Martial Soul can be anything, such as animals, plants, tools, or even a part of one's own body. And today, this Awakening Day, was the day to awaken Martial Souls.

"Little Arthur."

A figure walked in. He had a stalwart build, a resolute face under short black hair, giving off a sense of righteous integrity.

His name was Agravaine, the Pagoda Master of the East Sea City Spirit Conduction Tower branch, a Level 95 Super Douluo, and a Three-Word Battle Armor Master. He was also Arthur's uncle.

"How is it? You're about to awaken your Martial Soul. Are you excited?"

Agravaine looked at the cute Little Yellow Hair with short golden hair in front of him, and as he spoke, he couldn't help but reach out to stroke the top of his head.

"It's alright."

Although he had often fantasized about this day for six years, now that Awakening Day had arrived, Arthur didn't have much of an emotional fluctuation; his heart was calm. He said casually, "Skip the foreplay and just start the Awakening."

"Also, old man, take your stinking hand away. Did you give birth to my head? Why do you keep touching it?"

"Hey, you brat, I'm your uncle! What's wrong with a head rub?"

Agravaine didn't get angry at his rude words; instead, he increased his strength and vigorously rubbed Arthur's head.

"Tsk, keep rubbing then. You'll get what's coming to you when you're old."

"What 'what's coming to me'? From what I see, you brat probably plan to bully me for being old and weak when I'm old."

"Heh, you guessed right! When the time comes, you'll have to watch out for me pulling your oxygen tube even while you're sleeping!"

"Hahaha..."

The two of them, one big and one small, walked to a private Awakening room inside the Spirit Conduction Tower amidst their verbal sparring.

Arthur didn't go downstairs to awaken with the children outside. As the Pagoda Master of the Donghai Spirit Conduction Tower, it was effortless for Agravaine to open a private Awakening room for him.

The Awakening room was exquisitely decorated, even the chandeliers used the latest spirit tools. The room was clean and tidy, clearly having just been renovated and cleaned.

After all, this was the Pagoda Master's request. Even if the Pagoda Master said nothing, his subordinates would consciously make all preparations, even going as far as to unnecessarily renovate the place.

"Old man, what Martial Soul do you think I'll likely awaken?" Arthur asked curiously.

"It's highly likely to be a Sacred Angel Martial Soul, or a Bright Holy Dragon." Agravaine recalled, a trace of loneliness flashing in his eyes as he said, "After all, your parents had these two Martial Souls."

"Of course, it's also possible to awaken a Luminous Dragon Sparrow like mine." Agravaine forced himself to cheer up. "We are blood-related, after all, haha."

Mentioning his deceased parents, Arthur felt sad yet somewhat helpless. His father had the Bright Holy Dragon Martial Soul, and his mother had the Sacred Angel Martial Soul. Both were young and not far from becoming Titled Douluos, and they even possessed a Spirit Fusion Skill, with the potential of a Limit Douluo.

It was foreseeable that as their child, Arthur's Martial Soul would not be bad. The family of three had a bright future.

But when Arthur was four years old, the two died at the hands of Evil Soul Masters.

If Agravaine hadn't arrived in time, even Arthur wouldn't have survived.

Because of this incident, Agravaine's state of mind had issues. He felt guilty that despite having the power of a Super Douluo, he failed to protect his brother and sister-in-law. He often wondered if he could have saved them if he had been just a bit faster.

His guilt extended to Arthur.

This was also why Arthur was disrespectful to Agravaine and often spoke rudely.

Arthur felt that doing this would make Agravaine feel a bit better.

Being well-behaved and sensible would only make the other person feel more heartache.

"Bright Holy Dragon... It's better if it's the Sacred Angel Martial Soul."

The Bright Holy Dragon was indeed powerful, but as a transmigrator, Arthur clearly knew that in this era of the Legend of the Dragon King, Dragon-type Martial Souls were a trap of the version.

In front of the Golden Dragon King and the Silver Dragon King, Dragon-type Martial Souls were just commoners on the roadside.

"The Sacred Angel Martial Soul is also good. If you awaken the Angel Martial Soul, I'll take you for a tour of the Sacred Angel Clan." Agravaine nodded and smiled. "Those old fogies have quite a few good things."

The Sacred Angel Clan was the maiden home of Arthur's mother, Lezheng Huairou.

"The Luminous Dragon Sparrow is also not bad. When the time comes, we'll join forces and kill all the Evil Soul Masters in the World." Agravaine began to fantasize.

"Prepare to begin."

Inside the Awakening room, Arthur stood in the center.

Agravaine waved his hand, and a white ball of light composed of spirit power exploded. Dazzling colors illuminated the entire room, and the dense patterns all around suddenly emitted light.

"It must be the Sacred Angel, please don't let it be the Bright Holy Dragon... The Luminous Dragon Sparrow won't do either." Arthur prayed silently.

The light flowed towards Arthur along the patterns, a warm current filling his whole body, slowly stirring the deepest power within him.

It seemed like something was about to come out; Arthur couldn't help but tremble all over.

A golden pillar of light soared into the sky, penetrating the Awakening room, the Spirit Conduction Tower, and shooting straight into the boundless horizon!

The crowds waiting in line outside the Spirit Conduction Tower all looked up together, staring in shock at the top of the Spirit Conduction Tower, then unable to hold on, they covered their eyes.

That pillar of light was so dazzling that even with the sun in the sky, its brilliance could not be concealed.

Inside the Awakening room, Agravaine was within the light. As a Super Douluo, his movements were incredibly fast, and he put on sunglasses in an instant.

He stared intently at Arthur in the center of the light pillar. He was now beyond excited.

He had never heard of any Martial Soul Awakening producing such a massive phenomenon!

It's a sure thing!

Everything is set!

Looking at this unprecedented phenomenon, Agravaine felt that Arthur had the potential to become a god!

He had already begun to imagine Arthur's invincible posture of ruling the World in the future.

The pillar of light slowly dissipated.

A sword floated in front of Arthur. The sword's lines were smooth and its design elegant, enveloped in a layer of shining light.

He reached out and grasped it, and a series of information quickly flashed through his mind.

"This is... the Sword of Promised Victory!" Arthur's joy was beyond words.

This was the Holy Sword of the Star from the Fate World, a planet-class armament. Even with the Thirteen Restraints sealing its power, it was an extremely powerful weapon. If the Seals were fully released, its power could even cleave stars.

However, this Holy Sword was not yet that powerful. After all, it wasn't a real weapon; it was currently just a Martial Soul. To become powerful, Arthur still needed to Cultivate slowly.

"The road ahead is set." Arthur knew that as long as he cultivated steadily, this Holy Sword Martial Soul alone could resolve most of the crises the Douluo Continent would face in the future.

The Holy Sword had a special advantage against evil!

Whether it was the invasion of the Abyss Plane or the Evil Soul Masters of the Holy Spirit Cult.

If they dared to invade, he would surely make them return in crushing defeat!
