Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Innocent’s Gift

The bell rang again, and a lively young man entered the café. He was the exact opposite of what Sidd was—smart, confident, neat—and he truly lived, enjoying every fleeting moment life had to offer.

Sidd, sitting at his table and sipping his tea, paid no attention to his surroundings and continued to drift in his own thoughts. But like every lively soul tries to light up the dull ones, this young man did the same. He took the initiative and sat across from Sidd at the same table.

Sidd, detached from reality, didn't even notice him at first. The young man began making small talk, excitedly blabbering about how happy he was today and how tomorrow he was going to do something he hadn't had the courage to do until now.

He was glowing with hope, truly looking forward to tomorrow.

But Sidd didn't care. Not about the words. Not about the excitement. Not about today. Not even about tomorrow. He wouldn't have cared if he died today—not because he was thinking of dying, but because he just didn't care.

And yet, dear reader, to everyone's surprise, our beloved main character looked at the young man's eager face, and for a brief second, something stirred in him. He simply said,

"Good luck for tomorrow."

The young man, glowing even more, smiled and replied,

"Thanks, man!"

As Sidd stood up to leave the café, the door opened once more. A little girl walked in, holding a beautiful white tulip in her tiny hands. She looked up at Sidd and gave him the purest smile.

And Sidd—he smiled back.

Dear reader, you wouldn't believe it… it was his first smile in years.

With that rare smile still lingering on his face, Sidd opened the café door and stepped onto the road ahead.

He walked slowly, quietly, carrying with him the memory of the old generous man, the lively young stranger, the old-but-new café, and the beautiful little angel…

with a white tulip in her hand.
