I dressed up the next morning and went downstairs, I woke up a bit earlier today so I could have breakfast before going to the company because I wasn't ready to starve like yesterday.
I got to the company very early the time was just 6:08 am. I waited at the ladies toilet bench researching on how to act cool on my first day of work. The time moved so fast, which was shocking. Within minutes the company was occupied with both employees, Business partners and customers. I stood up and walked to Miss Hye's office, with directions from some employees. I got to get office and knocked the door.
" Good morning ma'am " I said immediately she opened the door, she was making a call, so she signaled me to wait.
" Good morning mi so, wait a minute I'll escort you to your office " She said
" Okay " I said with a huge smile on my face. I waited for some minutes before she came out, with an uncomfortable smile, it felt like she was beaten through the phone. I wanted to ask why she wasn't happy like yesterday, but that would be crossing the line right??, we are not even close yet, I thought.
" Here's your office, this is your system and the package is your personal laptop, every other stuff I placed in for you and besides I got tampons in case of any unwanted stuff. Girl to girl " She said and smiled but this time a real smile. I smiled back at her, I never thought a person with a high position could be this casual in speaking to others, it made me liked her so much.
" Oh and the boss would visit you later so be prepared " She said and walked out
" Okay, thanks " I said and sighed. I turned around and looked at the office
" Mi so this is your office now " I said to myself smiling like a child who's mom bought her a candy
I sat on the chair in my office and spined it twice. I felt so happy and i promised my self to work hard and be good to my boss. Hours past and I sat down doing nothing until it was lunch time, The day was boring and I wondered why, Normally on ones first day of work, you are likely to work on some files but mine was different,.I was even served coffee like I was the boss.
I went back to my office after lunch and sat down again, thinking about my boring day, I jerked up immediately I heard a knock, I remembered the CEO was coming to see me, I didn't even prepared. I prayed with my heart that Buddha helps me not to make even a slight mistake.
I opened the door and moved back with shock, was it really Jin ho or was my eyes having a problem, I wiped my eyes twice to clarify and truly it was him
" What... What are you doing here " I asked doubting he was my boss
" I believed Miss Hye told you to expect me " He said smiling, I hated the smile because it made me feel so uncomfortable.
" Yes she did please come in " I said with the calmest voice I had ever used because of the shock. Jin ho entered the office and sat on the couch, though he was the cutest guy I've ever seen he is the most annoying.
" Do you like the office " He asked
" Yes I do ". I snapped
" Good, I just wanted to check on you so now that your fine I believe you can start working " He said. Now I get it, he was the reason, I sighed after knowing my boring day was arranged and not from my bad luck. Bad luck is actually my thing though, when I was in high school I repeated a grade because I always made mistakes and always came late. When I was in college I was picked on by Jin ho and his useless friends, when I was in elementary school I was harassed by my uncle who is now dead though, I almost got raped by him when I was just six and I remembered so vividly, he had undress me and was about to do the stuff, when Mom caught him and used my mini fan to hit his head which made him unconscious. I suffered trauma from the incident until I turned eighteen.
" Bye " I said with a long face remembering that he was there.
" Are you not happy that I, the great Jin ho is your boss " He said
" wow, hurray the Almighty Jin-ho is my Boss what an oppor-tu-ni-ty " I said mockingly.
" See you later " He said and walked out of the office, slamming the door gently afterwards.
" Are you not happy that I, the great Jin ho is your boss, " I said mimicking Jin ho.
I sat down on my chair for a few minutes and got another knock from the door. Who is it this time?, I thought. I opened the door and saw a lady with a huge pile of files standing at the door looking at me.
" Good day, I am you department head and Miss Hye said I should take care of you, of course i will and I promise we would be close friends but sort this file and animate a boy sitting on a chair before 9 pm. The movie release Is 9:30 pm and we lost that clip so get started soon with the animation, the file on the bottom is the movie plotline, make the boy as cute as your boyfriend, okay " The weird lady said
" What boyfriend, I don't have one " I said taking the files.
" That's what we all say " She said smirking. it was so disgusting
" Am Seo Jin by the way " She added and walked away. I slammed the door from behind me immediately I entered the office, I looked at the time and it was 7:59 pm. I coved my face with my palm frustrated, how am I going to make a full clip with an hour. It was so awkward. I pick up my phone and downloaded inspo, I entered the already logged in Adobe Animator and got into business, I finished in at exactly 8:56 pm. I was so happy that I could do it and besides the animation looked so good. I cracked my fingers and transferred the work to a file and added all the other clips. I took the full movie to the USB drive and carried the documents with it to Seo Jin.
" Seo Jin, Seo Jin " I called out, when I got to her desk. The whole room was empty, I wondered if she had gone home leaving me and the movie behind
" Coming " She yelled from the bathroom, I was relieved when I heard her voice, I wasn't ready to shoot a movie at my first day, what if something goes wrong, I'll be screwed.
" Are you done " She asked dusting her wet hands.
" Yeah " I said smiling
" Don't smile yet, let me see how your boyfriend looks like " She said annoyingly
" But I told you I simply do not have one " I snapped
" And I told you that's what's girls always say " She said even more annoyingly.
" Crazy bitch " I whispered to my self
" Pardon " She asked
" Nothing " I said
" I must say your boyfriend has abs and looks like the CEO, wait a minute..." She said but I cutted her short
" No he's not " I said rolling my eyes.
" Okay, what's with the look any way can't you date him" She asked
" No hell no I can't " I snapped
" Whatever, follow me to the Animation studio let's release this baby " She said holding the USB
" I am an intern how can I join you to release a movie " I complained
" Am not taking you to release it with me, am just doing you a favour " She said and dragged me heading to the Studio.
