Jay wanted to know more about the beast. If it were possible, he will give up his two kidney in desperation to know what and who the beast is. Cole had refused to give him any clue concerning the strange creature. He had told him it isn't time yet and promised to tag him along when the timing appears right and accurate.
Two years passed by and it seem just like yesterday. The tragic memory of that night still flashed through his mind, hunting his heart and playing with his thought. The dream now became a habit, a nightmare of confusion! Sometimes he would scream so loud, sweating profusely in fear and panic, written all over his face. It was standing right in front of me. Cole knew it was just an delusion, Jay fear has created the image of the creature in his head.
Breath kid, breath. Cole calmed him down. It just a delusion, it not real. Maybe it the right time for him to know what the beast was. With a proper meaning and definition, Jay was now indirectly his son and responsibility. Although he had a daughter but she had been declared lost. Jane was the same age as Jay. She was just five when a tragic incident tore her away from her father and mother. It funny how bad days are most especially remembered. Cole was coming from the hunters banquet. He had won the award as the most remarkable hunter to ever exist in the history of the city. His skills and brave mind made him and exception among his peers.
After his miraculous and successful killing of the two headed fox that terrorized the city, his fame rose among the kingdom. Every young, old and nose breathing human being knew of his name. Little did he know that his unending joy was a deadly poison to some and had fueled the rise of anger, jealousy and hatred among his fellow hunters.
But Cole had a strong conviction in his best friend Shaw who was also a hunter. They shared thought together. Even very closely guarded secret. But on the long run, Shaw got jealous of Cole, he saw his achievement as a barrier to his peace of mind. As a matter of fact, he goes for hunting nights pretty much than Cole. It like he does the work and Cole gets the credit.
Little did cole know that Shaw had became a snake in the grass, watching over his every move and paving way for his downfall.
On Cole way back home from the banquet, he rode on the horse along with his family. Suddenly, some assassins in black robe and masked face popped out from the nearby bush and aimed at attacking Cole. On a normal day, cole would have stood a chance to retaliate but the case was entirely different, he was outnumbered.
The men in black trooped out in dozens from different axis of the road side. Cole was a brave hunter, he came down from the horse to fight, trying to scare away the assassins from hurting his wife and daughter but the more he killed, the more dozens of them burst out. It became dawn on him that the situation was beyond his power and out of his league. His wife was killed! and his daughter taken away. He was left badly injured almost in a state of unconsciousness.
And has planned , Shaw had came to the rescue, disguising himself as the perfect super hero, making Cole believe he was a good and trustworthy friend. Cole got better in less than a week, sobbing the Demise of his lovely wife and also eager to find his missing daughter. Years passed and the truth came to light.
Shaw had some issue with the assassin gang leader with whom he planned the murderous act with. But things turn out bad. The gang leader exposed him, selling the information to Cole. What boiled Cole head the most was when he heard that his daughter has been sold to some French family.
In short, the assassin killed Shaw while Cole killed the assassin. That was how the scenario happened. Ever since then, he had been desperately looking for his lost daughter. Up till now. That was a hell of a tragic story! Jay exclaims after Cole narrated the ordeal.
