Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Heading to the Black Market

Draco didn't expect this woman to still be following him.

He turned back to look at Aicia, "Big sis, it's just 10 copper coins. Is it worth being this persistent?"

"What 'big sis'?"

Aicia rolled her eyes, "Is 'big sis' a term used for a young and beautiful girl like me?"

Draco curled his lip and ignored her again.

Arriving at the bar, "Give me a glass of your most expensive wine."

"Please wait a moment."

The waitress at the bar smiled and handed Draco a glass of wine.

Draco took the glass and sniffed it; there was actually whiskey. The Eastern Empire truly was developed.

Holding the glass, he found an empty spot and sat down.

At this time, Aicia also followed and sat next to Draco.

"Hurry up and tell me the rest of the story."

Aicia asked, staring at Draco's profile.

"Another day."

Draco took a sip of wine and said calmly.

Just then, three or four sexy and enchanting waitresses surrounded Draco, their voices soft and flirtatious like chirping birds.

"Master, do you need someone to drink with you?"

"Hey handsome, want to have a drink together?"

"We're much more interesting than this little girl beside you."

Aicia was pushed aside by these women.

She glared at Draco and said, "You pervert!!!"

But even so, Aicia didn't leave.

Draco sighed and casually tossed them three gold coins, sending the women away.

It's not easy making a living out here.

"You really are a landlord's foolish son! That was three gold coins!"

"Um... how about I drink with you?"

"I'm cheap, only 50 silver coins."

Aicia leaned in, blinking her eyes at Draco.

Draco was suddenly between laughter and tears, "No money!"

Aicia huffed, "Tch, I don't believe you."

"What do you need so much money for?"

"My ancestors were all farmers for generations; I'm scared of being poor."

"Uh... why does that sound a bit familiar..."

"By the way, are you a local?"

Draco suddenly changed the subject.

"Not really, I'm just a traveling merchant around here."

"Then do you know which chamber of commerce in the city is the wealthiest?"

"Chamber of commerce?"

Aicia was stunned, "You want to go to a chamber of commerce?"

"Yeah, to trade some things."

Draco nodded and continued, "It would be best if you know someone there."

Aicia pondered for a moment and then said, "I advise you to forget it; chambers of commerce are quite unscrupulous."

Draco looked at Aicia in confusion, "How so?"

"If your stuff isn't valuable, it's fine; that's just a normal transaction."

"But if it's too valuable, hmph, then it's hard to say."

Hearing Aicia's words, Draco's eyebrows twitched.

"The most important thing for a chamber of commerce is its reputation. If they do that, wouldn't no one trade with them?"

"Only if someone is able to get the word out."

"The power behind a chamber of commerce isn't small. Silencing witnesses is easy for them."

"Don't you know about it? And you're still alive and well."

Aicia gave a mysterious smile, "That's why this is a secret. One piece of information for 10 gold coins. Pay up."

Draco: "..."

"I think you're even more unscrupulous than those chambers of commerce."

"Who told you to ask me? This kind of intelligence is worth this price," Aicia muttered.

"Clink clank!"

Looking at the ten glittering gold coins on the table, Aicia's eyes sparkled.

"I was joking, but you actually gave it! Then I won't be polite."

Draco didn't care about these mere 10 gold coins. He had to think big, and this information was indeed worth the price as it would save him a lot of time.

"Didn't you say you had no money? As expected, a man's words can't be trusted."

Draco shrugged, "I wasn't lying. When you asked for copper and silver coins, I really didn't have any."

"I'm so poor that all I have left is gold coins."

"..."

"Big brother, does your family need someone to clean the toilets? I'm very hardworking, and I only need 1 gold coin a day."

"Boss, please take me with you!"

Aicia grabbed Draco's leg, pleading bitterly.

"Get lost!!"

Draco really didn't know what to do with this thick-skinned woman.

"Be normal for once!"

"Yes, Master."

Aicia immediately sat up straight obediently, even changing the way she addressed him.

Rubbing his temples, Draco got straight to the point.

"I'm asking you, besides a chamber of commerce, where else can I quickly sell the items I have?"

"Master, you really do have some treasures."

"Stop talking nonsense."

"You can go check out the Black Market."

Draco frowned, "Black Market? The kind where everyone is masked and no one knows who anyone is."

"And then trade on the spot, leaving immediately once the deal is done, without any lingering?"

Aicia nodded, "Master, you know so much."

As if stepping into a role, Aicia seemed like a different person and started blowing smoke.

"Furthermore, the Black Market also has a Coliseum, a Slave Market, Auctions, information trading, and the like."

"To be honest, the Black Market is much more reputable than a chamber of commerce."

"Who founded such an organization?"

"That's not clear."

"Do you know where the Black Market is?"

"Hehe!"

Aicia didn't speak, but her eyes had already turned into the shape of money signs.

Draco generously tossed her 10 gold coins.

"Thank you, Master!!"

Aicia happily accepted the gold coins and then gave Draco a wink.

"The location?"

"It's in the slums in the south of the city. I'll take Master there."

"Alright."

Afterward, the two left the tavern and disguised themselves.

Wearing masks, black cloaks, and black hoods, the two appeared in the southern slums.

This was the lowliest gathering place in Andrew City, where countless filthy, foul, and rotten smells filled the air, even making one feel nauseous.

Aicia nervously grabbed the corner of Draco's clothes, as if afraid someone would discover her.

Draco glanced at her, "Aren't you quite familiar with this place? Why are you so nervous?"

"Aren't you nervous with so much money in your pocket? What if we get robbed?"

Aicia spoke with sound reasoning, and Draco was momentarily unable to refute her.

The two of them walked deep into the slums along the dilapidated streets.

Suddenly, a thin boy darted out from the side of the street and stumbled toward Draco.

"Save me!!"

Before Draco could act, Aicia stepped forward and kicked the boy away.

The boy struggled to get up from the ground, and a dagger fell out from his clothes.

Clearly, the scene just now was a facade.

"Scram!"

Aicia barked angrily, and the boy immediately fled in a panic, leaving the scene without even picking up his weapon.

"You could even detect that?"

Aicia was just an ordinary person and shouldn't have known any Magic Perception skills.

In response, she simply said one thing.

"Practice makes perfect!"
