Inside the Throne Room, Draco sat upon the throne.
Before him hovered a 3-D virtual image of Nazarick—the newly unlocked guild module.
After fiddling with it for a while, he discovered fantastic news.
Icons of decorations, furniture, and building blocks lined the edge of the projection.
It was just like building a home in a game.
Every lavish piece of furniture came with a clear price tag.
"Exquisite Comfortable Golden-Nanmu Bed: 10 gold"
"Magnificent Dining Table: 5 gold"
"Elegant Mural: 2 gold"
…"Didn't expect this to be a pay-to-win game."
Draco's eyes lit up as he sighed in amazement.
Yet the system offered no top-up channel; the currency of this world was the system's gold.
Exchange rate: 100 copper = 1 silver; 100 silver = 1 gold.
And 100 gold equaled 1 Starcrystal coin.
Starcrystal coins, the rarest currency, were minted by the Dwarf Kingdom.
Only one coin could be produced per month.
Fewer than ten thousand existed across the entire world.
Draco, however, possessed a thousand of them.
"Gotta hand it to the Kingdom of Falmuth—they're loaded!"
With tears of joy, he dumped the thousand Starcrystal coins into the system backpack, converting them into a hundred thousand gold.
What followed was simple: shop till you drop.
After two lifetimes of poverty, Draco finally tasted the life of a whale.
Buying was easy; placing everything was another matter.
Each item had to be positioned manually—thousands of pieces gave him a splitting headache.
Even restricting himself to the Ninth Floor's royal suite, a single floor was still a massive project.
It took a full three days before he finished the layout.
And the overwork granted him the skill "Thought Acceleration".
The results, though, were splendid.
The already-luxurious Ninth Floor now looked brand-new and incomparably opulent.
Every stick of furniture was top-tier; even the servants' chairs were extravagant.
Any single piece auctioned out there would fetch sky-high prices.
It wasn't his money anyway—Draco didn't feel a twinge of guilt.
Inside a hundred-square-meter bath of pristine white mist, Draco soaked in the water, eyes closed in blissful slumber.
He had no idea how much time passed before a cool touch on his neck jolted him awake.
A snow-white arm reached toward him.
He turned and saw an exquisitely beautiful face.
"Albedo!?"
"What are you doing here?"
"As the supreme ruler, how could you bathe without someone to attend you?"
Wrapped in a white towel, Albedo smiled as she kneaded his shoulders.
Her soft hands worked gently, leaving Draco utterly relaxed.
Ah—heaven!
Albedo licked her lips seductively, about to take things further—
when the bathroom door was pushed open again.
"Master, Susu's here!"
Susu's bright, melodious voice rang out.
She leapt straight into the pool.
SPLASH!
Water drenched Albedo from head to toe.
"Damnable little fox!!"
Albedo erupted, looking ready to cook the fox for supper.
"Ahem—she's still a child; don't mind her," Draco quickly soothed.
Albedo shot Susu a fierce glare, then resumed her bewitching smile.
"Aha, so comfy!"
Susu, oblivious that she'd just danced past death, frolicked happily.
After the bath, Draco washed away the fatigue of the past days.
He returned to his lavish bedroom and collapsed onto the soft bed.
"Phew—finally some rest!"
He drew a deep breath and soon sank into dreamland.
Late at night, the door creaked open ever so quietly.
Outside stood Albedo, cheeks flushed.
"Hehehe…"
…Morning.
Sunlight—uh, right, no sun in a tomb.
In any case, Draco slowly opened drowsy eyes.
He'd dreamed of being smothered between two giant buns and nearly suffocated.
Thankfully, he'd scrambled out in time.
As he wondered why he'd had such a dream, he realized he was clutching something soft and warm.
He looked down to find a gorgeous face.
Because he was gripping a certain spot, her eyes were glazed and cheeks crimson—utterly alluring.
"Albedo!!"
Draco cried out in surprise and quickly let go.
Then, he saw Albedo covering the area he had grabbed, looking at him with a shy smile.
"Good morning, Master~"
"When did you come in!?"
"Last night, I quietly asked Master if I could come in, and Master didn't say anything, so... hmm, I took that as a default agreement."
"Uh..."
Draco's face was covered in black lines, and he was momentarily unable to refute her.
Albedo wore an innocent expression, then took a magnificent outfit from the hanger and helped Draco put it on.
She looked exactly like a virtuous wife.
Rubbing his temples, Draco decided to just let her be.
Fully dressed, the two of them went to the dining room.
Expensive-looking cutlery was laid out on the pristine white dining table, but the food on the plates was jarringly out of place.
This was the result of Susu's efforts all morning.
Green Pepper Stewed Apple!
"Oh, Master, quickly come and taste the new delicacy I researched."
Susu presented the dish as if it were a treasure.
"This..."
Draco looked at the apples in the bowl, unable to compliment the dish.
Seeing the sparkling anticipation in Susu's eyes, Draco used a fork to pick up a piece of apple and began chewing it.
[Skill 'Pain Nullification' successfully triggered...]
"How is it, Master? Is it delicious?"
Seeing Draco chewing the apple, Susu asked full of hope.
"It's well made, but don't make it next time."
For the sake of his future happy life, Draco gave a very honest reply.
If 'Pain Nullification' hadn't triggered, he felt like he would have been spiced to death.
"Oh~ alright!"
Although Draco had solved the housing problem, the food situation was indeed a major issue.
It wasn't a problem with ingredients; there were cattle and sheep all over the plains outside, and plenty of wild vegetables inside the great forest of the Sixth Floor.
The main issue was that none of the three of them knew how to cook.
"Where can I find a chef..."
Pondering this question, Draco fell into deep thought.
