They arrived at Shinji's house once again.
The door opened before they could even knock.
Shinji greeted them with the same calm smile, as if he had already expected their return.
Shinji:
"So… you came back for the history of the legendary eye wielders' battles."
Shino:
"Yeah. We couldn't stop thinking about it."
As they stepped inside, Akaimo's eyes drifted toward the hallway.
A faint hum echoed from the other room.
Metallic. Artificial.
Not something that belonged in a house like this.
Shino:
"…Professor."
He pointed toward the closed door.
Shino:
"There's something in that room. We didn't see it yesterday."
Shinji paused for a fraction of a second.
Just one breath.
Shino:
"It looks way more advanced than anything from our era. What is it?"
Shinji's smile returned—calm, unreadable.
Shinji:
"You'll learn about it later."
He turned away.
Shinji:
"It's something I made."
The group exchanged glances.
Shino:
"You know ancient history, mythic eyes… and now complex machinery?"
He let out a small laugh.
Shino:
"Genius is the simplest word."
Shinji:
"Hahaha… it's nothing that impressive."
But he didn't look back.
He took his seat.
Shinji:
"Now then…"
The room fell quiet.
Shinji:
"Let's begin."
