"And.... BINGO, news premiering ! " exclaimed the boss.
"Are you 100% sure our viewer will raise with this newly added weird documentary element? " asked Wilton.
"I am 100% sure this is better than our previous news, you know, viewers now like multi-element shows, even news." said the boss.
"All I care about is that now is clock out time and I am leaving. See ya !" Albur took his stuff and prepared to walk out the office.
"Mr. Filix, don't leave that soon, I still have questions for you." said the boss.
"1. You can't force employees to stay overtime without paying. 2. Music works better than 24 hours monitoring and 3. Ain't no Computer Intelligence helping me do the work, I did it all by myself so I don't give a heck." Albur walked out of the office.
"Oh, he answered all your questions boss." said Wilton.
"Ugh, someday I will fire him and replace him with a CI." said the boss.
"Not recommended, Mr. Filix had worked for us for straight 3 years, one of your longest-serving employee. If we fire him, the company might die even quickly." said the robot secretary.
"Yeah, he is my senior not gonna lie." said Wilton.
"That's not even long." said the boss.
"You opened this TV channel 4 years ago, and you made the first batch of employees leave in rage." said the robot secretary.
"Ok, fine! By the way how was the computer?" asked the boss.
"Not going good, the computer is seemingly corrupted, I recommend we change it to a new one" said the robot secretary.
"Oh c'mon ! Ugh fine then." groaned the boss.
Albur walked out of the building. Like always, he entered the car park and hopped on his car.
"Hello, s-s-sir, how's t-t-t-oda-a-a-y? " asked Albur's car system, in a glitched voice.
"Woah, what happened to you?" asked Albur.
"I'm ok, sir, just some normal system error." the car system went back to normal again.
"Ok... go back home then." said Albur.
His car floated, but this time, its very unstable.
"Hey, hey, hey, are you sure you're ok?" asked Albur.
"Why? Never better." said Albur's car system.
"Alright, I think I had to sent you to the garage for a little check up." said Albur.
Albur drove his car manually, but very bumpy because he never focus on driving lessons, to the garage. A technician is there repairing some cars.
"Hey dude, my car have a little problem, and I think it needs a good fixing." said Albur.
"Oh, man, not again? This is the 14th car I will need to fix today! What is going on with everyone's car? " yelled the technician.
"What, that much ? Not gonna lie, you are very amazing." said Albur.
"But I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes opened! Ugh, fine, 20 dollars, fetch it tomorrow." said the technician.
"O.....k." Albur paid the technician and called a taxi to bring him to a nearby restaurant to have dinner. He chose to go to a noodle house where his uncle worked.
After he arrived, he entered the noodle house and found a seat to sit down.
"Oh hey, Albur! Came to have some delicious noodles? " his uncle greeted him happily.
"Hey uncle, its been quite a while since I visited here." said Albur.
"Work issues right, I know, last time you visited here you were complaining about your job." said his uncle.
"You didn't tell ma about my job right? " asked Albur.
"Of course, I kept that as a secret." said his uncle.
"Like usual, tomato noodles with fried eggs." said Albur. He took out 8 dollars and handed it to his uncle.
" On the way! " his uncle got back to the kitchen.
This noodle house was opened by his uncle 30 years ago, his uncle is now already 60, and the restaurant never changed. Albur used to come here to have dinner, but not after his boss installed the monitoring software on his watch.
"Very hard to see that noodles were still alive even though created thousand years ago." said Albur.
"I know right, everyone kept calling me a caveman, but I don't care about them, now my restaurant is currently one of the ten remaining noodle restaurants." said his uncle.
"Maybe I can key in the recipes onto a CI and let it continue to pass on." said Albur.
"Nah, you know that Cis lately is getting unstable, Harry Einstein who created CI promised that the CIs won't become self aware, but now problems begun to emerge everywhere, aren't you a news reporter, you don't know about this?" asked his uncle.
"I could give less an eye on the news, even though I am the one reporting it." sighed Albur.
"Heh, you're still the same Albur I know. " said his uncle.
"Speaking of problematic CI my car just got an error and now it is in the garage." said Albur.
"Thank goodness you didn't drive it, scientists now just discovered that this error might be from outer space." said his uncle.
"Huh, how you know?" asked Albur.
"I watched your news, silly, looks like someone is not focused on his work." said his uncle in a singing tone of voice.
"I am not." Albur scoffed.
"Alright back to that topic, scientist found that this error is from outer space, a place near Mars. Though they aren't aliens but some scientists speculated that it might be a computer virus from the HVR war long ago. But I guess we don't need to panic, the health and Safety company just released a brand new product called...."
"L.E.W.I.S. bot." Albur interrupted.
"Oh, you knew that already." chuckled his uncle.
"Yeah, my housemate Mysty gave me one — to help with my boss breaching my watch," said Albur.
"That girl huh, I remember last time you said she is a bit annoying." said his uncle.
"If she isn't talking endlessly about her mystery discoveries then she won't be annoying." said Albur.
"You got to adapt sometimes, she gave you the L.E.W.I.S. bot huh? I heard that it have by now the strongest security system guarding ability, this company sells products that are so high quality, I bet you knew the R.E.C.O.V.E.R. system right, they are the one who made it." said his uncle.
"I got one at home too." said Albur.
"Alright then, eh...." his uncle looked inside the kitchen for a while.
"Hey Albur, I think i ran out of fresh tomatoes, sorry, I forgot my CI stocker was sent to repair." said his uncle.
"Huh? I remember you said it won't be easily malfunctioned." said Albur.
"I don't know what happened to it, lately it have some problems in its microchip and it even begun to rust." said his uncle.
"Strange, nevermind then, I can have tomato sauce noodles. " said Albur.
"Ok, on the way!" his uncle rushed back into the kitchen.
After a few minutes Albur's uncle gave him his noodles. Albur said goodbye to his uncle after finished eating and left the noodle house. He called a taxi to bring him home.
When he reached his house, he saw that multiple cars crashed across the street he lived.
"Oh, damn, thank goodness I didn't drive home." Albur unlocked his house door and entered it. But his house sat in silence, to his knowledge, Mysty should've reached home by now. While Albur is thinking, a noise from upstairs disrupted him.
"Mysty? is that you ?" Albur walked upstairs. He looked around, and saw Lewis lying on the ground, trembling. Its screen is have statics and error signs.
"Lewis? Lewis! What happened?" Albur picked up Lewis.
"Error, Error, secu-rit-y syste-m damaged, bre.....ach a...l-l-erttt." said Lewis before shutting down.
Albur looked at Lewis in confusion. he tried to reboot it, but nothing happened. Albur then checked his watch to see if its his boss trying to breach Lewis and lastly breach his watch, but it wasn't. Albur thought for a second, and decided to call Mysty. But when he pressed the call button, he heard a call notification inside the toilet, he also heard banging sounds from inside. He quickly rushed to the toilet and busted the door. Out of his expectation, Mysty is inside, tied up by ropes and muted by a towel in her mouth.
"Mysty?" Albur quickly untied her and removed the towel in her mouth.
"Albur! We gotta run! Quick!" Mysty grabbed Albur's arm and quickly ran.
"Wait, Mysty, what happened? " asked Albur.
Suddenly, the house door shut tight. The sink and the toilet seat in the toilet came alive, as well as the television, the computer and the air-conditioning.
"What the..... our furniture came alive?" asked Albur.
"They all tied me up and wait to ambush you! We gotta get out of here!" yelled Mysty.
Mysty used one of her test products to destroy the window and dragged Albur out of the house.
