Karl's current power was still extraordinarily formidable.
Whether in terms of will or concepts, he had already reached the absolute pinnacle of this level.
Even beings on the level of the Five Great Gods were no longer necessarily his match.
In the Marvel Universe, aside from those legendary beings hidden from the world, Karl could already be considered a genuine heavyweight.
Even against Abraxas, he wasn't at any disadvantage.
However, Karl wasn't an idiot.
As more time passed, he began to sense that something was wrong.
According to the plan he had discussed with Eternity, all Karl needed to do was draw Abraxas's attention.
Galactus would handle everything else.
Once the Ultimate Nullifier was activated, the entire Multiverse would be rebooted.
At the instant the Multiverse restarted, Abraxas would naturally lose the very foundation of his existence and die.
But—
Wasn't this taking far too long?
Karl had already kept Abraxas occupied for so long that there would have been enough time to reboot the universe ten times over.
Why hadn't Galactus acted yet?
Karl's Psychic Power stirred as he secretly contacted Eternity.
"Great Eternity, why hasn't Galactus acted yet?"
"It's already been quite a while."
Karl asked in confusion.
Eternity's heart skipped a beat as well.
"The timing probably still isn't right."
Eternity replied.
"That's exactly what you said earlier."
"What the hell is Galactus doing? Why is he taking so long?"
"Why doesn't he just erase this guy and get it over with?"
Karl demanded.
This wasn't some joke.
What kind of special timing did activating an artifact require?
If Karl's own willpower had been sufficient, he would have activated it himself long ago.
Having Galactus do it was simply the safer choice.
But wasn't this being a little too cautious?
After all this time, he still hadn't acted.
Could that guy actually have been killed by someone?
Karl couldn't help entertaining the malicious thought.
"Hold on a little longer. I'll find out what's happening."
"I'll definitely give you an answer shortly."
Eternity replied.
In truth, he was extremely anxious as well.
Every additional minute that Abraxas remained alive caused terrifying damage to the entire Multiverse.
Naturally, Eternity wanted him dead as soon as possible.
But Galactus wasn't doing anything.
Not only had he failed to act, but he wasn't even responding to messages.
That made Eternity seriously suspect that something might truly have happened to him.
"No. I can't wait any longer."
"I need to go see for myself."
Eternity made his decision.
"Gaea, Agamotto, you two handle the aftermath here for now."
"I need to leave for a while and deal with something important."
Eternity spoke to them.
Although Gaea and Agamotto didn't understand what Eternity intended to do, one of the Five Great Gods naturally had his own reasons, so they didn't question him.
"Go ahead. We'll keep watch here."
"If anything really happens, we'll notify you."
Gaea replied.
Eternity nodded.
His body disappeared like a bubble, instantly reappearing somewhere else.
With a mere shift of thought, he appeared in the region where Galactus resided.
The might of the Five Great Gods was obvious from this alone.
After appearing in the Main Universe, Eternity merely glanced around before his figure disappeared again.
The next moment, he arrived within Galactus's domain.
Unlike the other four Abstract Entities, Galactus possessed an incomparably enormous physical body.
His body alone was comparable in size to half a galaxy.
He was a true colossus.
Naturally, his territory was equally enormous.
Eternity had originally thought he might need to spend considerable time searching through the cosmos.
But to his surprise, the instant he arrived, he saw something at the center of the galaxy that left him utterly shocked.
Galactus's magnificent body stretched across outer space.
It was deathly still.
There was no trace of life whatsoever.
Even the universe within his body seemed on the verge of collapse, having completely lost the power it should have possessed.
"That's impossible!"
Eternity's expression changed drastically.
What in the world had happened?
Galactus—
Galactus was dead!
One of the strongest among the Five Great Gods had simply died.
And no one even knew how!
It was true that the Five Great Gods often seemed almost ridiculous when various superheroes managed to scheme against them.
But that didn't change their strength or their status.
Every member of the Five Great Gods was among the most powerful existences in this world.
Their every word and action could influence the entire cosmos.
Yet now, one of these incomparably powerful beings had died.
And he had died without making even the slightest disturbance.
It wasn't as though members of the Five Great Gods had never died before.
Each of them had experienced being killed and subsequently resurrected.
But those deaths had always been major events that shook the entire Multiverse.
Perhaps every great powerhouse across the Multiverse would become involved.
But this time?
Galactus had died silently.
All that remained was his enormous corpse.
What exactly had happened?
No wonder Galactus hadn't acted.
He really had been killed.
Eternity's expression became incomparably grave.
He stepped forward and carefully examined the corpse Galactus had left behind.
"As expected. Not a single clue was left."
"Whoever did this knew exactly what they were doing—and they were powerful."
"Even time itself has been disturbed. I'm afraid his Avatars won't have any information either."
Eternity's expression darkened.
At this point, he could be certain of one thing.
The true answer could only be found by determining exactly what had happened during Galactus's final moments.
Someone had killed Galactus in an instant and erased every trace of what had occurred.
This was absolutely not something an ordinary powerhouse could accomplish.
It required overwhelming strength.
Across the entire Multiverse, only a handful of beings were capable of something like this.
Eternity could count his suspects on one hand.
"Annihilus?"
"Death?"
"Infinity?"
"Or that Demon God?"
"Who exactly did this?"
"We're in serious trouble."
Eternity couldn't help sighing.
One crisis had followed another.
The matter with Abraxas wasn't even resolved yet, and now Galactus was dead.
Everything was going wrong at once.
"This is definitely troublesome."
"But that thing couldn't have disappeared too, could it?"
"If it's actually missing, then we're in real trouble."
Eternity suddenly felt his heart sink.
To put it coldly, Galactus being dead wasn't the greatest problem.
The Living Tribunal could simply resurrect him afterward.
The Five Great Gods were an important part of maintaining the balance of the world.
The Living Tribunal wouldn't allow them to die so easily.
But—
If the Ultimate Nullifier had gone missing, that would be an entirely different matter.
Any sufficiently powerful being with enough willpower could use that terrifying weapon.
It possessed enough power to erase the entire Multiverse.
If something like that actually happened, the consequences would be catastrophic.
"Still, that probably didn't happen."
"Very few people know this secret."
"Knowing Galactus, even if he died, he would've hidden it first."
After thinking for a moment, Eternity's figure flashed.
He appeared before a ruined throne.
After passing through a damaged seal, he arrived in front of an extremely ancient spacecraft.
When he saw that it was completely intact, Eternity finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Even in the moments before his death, Galactus had managed to hide the Ultimate Nullifier safely inside.
Otherwise, there was no way this spacecraft would still be intact.
