Chapter 250 - Chapter 250: Both Are Sorcerer Supremes, Yet the Gap Is So Huge

But once a matter involved principles, Karl would still step forward.

Just like when the Celestials came after him.

If he had simply walked away, no one would have been able to do anything to him.

But he could not do that.

He had to protect his own universe.

This time was the same.

Even though they belonged to different universes, and the Kamar-Taj of this universe should have had nothing to do with him, Karl still could not simply walk away.

This was a responsibility that belonged to the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj.

If someone asked him to sacrifice himself to protect Earth, Karl definitely could not do it.

If his life was in danger, he would turn and run without hesitation.

But when there was no danger to his life, he absolutely would not retreat.

Looking at Strange, Karl spoke directly.

"We must find Mordo and make him receive the punishment he deserves."

Karl spoke firmly.

"Karl, you're right."

"But the key point is that we can't find him."

"If Mordo wants to hide, no one can find him."

Strange said.

"That's not quite right."

Karl shook his head.

Among the people he knew alone, there were plenty who could easily find Mordo.

There were so many powerful beings capable of doing this that they could practically be called countless.

Putting aside everyone else, Karl himself could do it very easily.

However, on Earth in the Main Universe, it was best for him not to do that.

Reckless probing would be considered a provocation by many powerful beings.

For those who knew him well, it would still be fine.

But if an outsider like him did something like that, it would be no different from acting like a robber.

It was the same as if a friend entered your room without permission. You might be very angry, but if there was a reason, you could probably understand.

But if a stranger suddenly barged into your room, a tragedy might happen.

Karl was not a native of the Main Universe.

If he rashly scanned the entire planet, it might cause an enormous disturbance.

If the ones who noticed were righteous figures, that would still be fine.

But if villains noticed it, things would become very troublesome.

Karl did not want to attract that kind of trouble.

"Don't worry, Strange. There are still many people who can help us."

"We can go find someone for help."

Karl said with a smile.

"Help? Who are you planning to ask for help?"

Strange asked.

Strange was indeed a little curious.

Even he, a local of the Main Universe, did not know who they should ask for help.

Yet Karl, an outsider, actually knew who to ask?

Was this not a joke?

Could Karl understand this world better than he did?

Unfortunately, Karl did not know what Strange was thinking. Otherwise, he would definitely have laughed three times.

He really did understand this world better than Strange did.

"Naturally, I can find someone to help me."

"Let's go. I'll take you to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters."

Karl said.

"What?"

When Strange heard that name, he was stunned.

He had been active here for a very long time.

Why did he not know that there was such a place on Earth?

Karl saw his confusion and smiled.

"I'll give you a name you do know."

"The mutant school."

Strange drew in a sharp breath.

"You're not planning to ask Professor X for help, are you?"

Strange asked.

"Of course. Is there a problem?"

Karl asked with a smile.

Strange frowned and said,

"You may not know this, but mutants are extremely guarded against outsiders. They rarely communicate with us."

"Generally speaking, they only communicate with their own people."

"I don't think they are good partners for cooperation."

Strange gave a bitter smile.

Clearly, he had suffered plenty of setbacks with mutants before.

"Mutants aren't really hostile to outsiders. They are just more vigilant."

"They have suffered unfair treatment, so naturally, they would become like this."

"They are not deliberately targeting you."

Karl patiently explained.

Humans were naturally wary of and resistant toward outside species.

This existed among all species. It was a protective mechanism engraved into their genes for the continuation of their race.

On top of that, the appearances of some mutants changed drastically. Some no longer looked human at all, while others possessed special abilities they could not control and could easily hurt people.

Ordinary people would naturally reject them out of self-preservation.

Forget ordinary people.

Even Professor X, a famous wise man and a good person, had sometimes failed in this regard.

When Mystique, who had a close relationship with him, transformed, he thought she was ugly.

The reason Mystique later joined Magneto's camp had a lot to do with this.

From beginning to end, the only person who might never have discriminated against mutants was Magneto.

That was also why Magneto had so many die-hard followers among mutants.

And it was also why mutants were so guarded against outsiders.

Karl understood this very well.

However, he felt that Professor X would not refuse his goodwill.

Or rather, they could make a deal.

After all these years, Professor X was also an intelligent man.

Strange clearly did not quite understand Karl's thinking.

However, Karl was far stronger than him, so they might as well give it a try.

"Since you've made the decision, we'll go try it."

"Although I don't have much hope for this."

Strange shrugged.

"Don't worry. There won't be a problem."

"Follow me."

Karl waved his hand.

A golden portal appeared directly.

Strange's expression turned solemn.

So powerful!

Just now, he had not sensed Karl's spellcasting fluctuations at all.

Nor had he sensed any energy or mental fluctuations.

The portal seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.

Strange knew that in this world, whether it was matter or energy, everything followed conservation.

There was no such thing as something appearing from nothing.

When something appeared out of nowhere, it only meant that one's observation methods were completely insufficient.

He was now rather curious.

Just how powerful was Karl, to be able to completely block his perception?

He was the Sorcerer Supreme.

And the Sorcerer Supreme of the Main Universe at that.

Why was Karl, a Sorcerer Supreme from another parallel universe, so much stronger than him?

Right now, Strange actually felt as though he were meeting the Ancient One for the first time.

Unfathomable.

Strange took a deep breath and stepped through the portal.

He felt that he could now give up his vigilance.

Because with Karl's power, if Karl wanted to do anything to them, it would not be difficult.

Taking a deep breath, he passed directly through the golden portal.

The scenery changed.

After crossing the portal, he arrived at a place that looked like a park.

In front of them was an iron gate.

This was the gate of the mutant school.

"What should we do now?"

Strange asked.

"No need to rush. We just need to wait a little."

Karl smiled mysteriously.
