Kang the Conqueror was convinced.
Good lord.
With strength already at that level, Karl was still this cautious.
No wonder he had managed to survive.
That level of caution alone was not something ordinary people could compare to.
Or rather…
Just how afraid of death was this bastard?
Kang the Conqueror's feelings were extremely complicated.
"Enough. You don't need to keep looking."
"You already know what methods I have."
"This is the final fortress. There are no offensive weapons here at all."
"Save your energy."
"I've already become your prisoner. What else could I possibly do?"
Kang the Conqueror spoke helplessly.
Karl did not commit either way.
He was not stupid.
Was he supposed to believe something just because someone else said it?
What if this guy had hidden something terrifying?
What if this guy wanted to drag him down in mutual destruction?
Wouldn't that be a massive loss?
Karl carefully inspected the entire enormous structure.
Only after confirming that there was no danger did he turn his gaze back to this man.
"So you're the one standing behind the Time Variance Authority?"
"That's right."
Kang the Conqueror raised his chin high.
Clearly, he was extremely confident about this. It could even be described as arrogance.
Karl keenly noticed something.
The look this man gave him was still fairly normal.
But when Kang looked at others, it was as if he were looking at cats and dogs.
He did not treat them as people at all.
This was someone arrogant to the bone.
Karl came to this conclusion inwardly.
He carefully sized up the man in front of him again.
"So, you're the one who has manipulated them all these years and made them kill who knows how many people."
"And you even wanted to cause trouble for me?"
Karl merely raised his head and looked calmly at Kang the Conqueror.
But Kang reacted as if he had been struck by lightning.
Clearly, he was only an ordinary man with a powerful will.
He could not resist the force released by Karl at all.
His legs trembled.
He nearly fell to his knees.
Gritting his teeth, Kang the Conqueror said,
"I thought you were a powerful being."
"A powerful being should give his enemies the respect they deserve."
Hearing this, Karl smiled disdainfully.
What kind of joke was this?
Was there really someone this brainless in the world?
Respect someone who was constantly trying to kill you?
Wasn't that something only an idiot would do?
Besides, this guy only knew how to hide behind the scenes and scheme.
What about him was worthy of respect?
If he had been a brave warrior, Karl might have offered a few words of admiration.
"Stop flattering yourself."
"First of all, you're not a powerful being."
"Second, you're not worthy of respect either."
"You're just a conspirator."
Karl spoke calmly.
"A conspirator?"
"Is that how you define me?"
"You are truly shallow."
Kang the Conqueror spoke arrogantly.
"I am the guardian of this timeline. I am the savior of all of you."
"If not for me, all of you would have died hundreds of millions of years ago!"
"I was the one who isolated the ancient god battlefield back then and hoarded a doubled timeline."
"I was also the one who separated the dimensional boundaries of the Multiverse, allowing every world to remain independent and not interfere with one another."
"I am the savior."
Kang the Conqueror spoke with an expressive face.
Karl's face was filled with disdain.
"You?"
Karl had no idea where this confidence of his came from.
If Kang the Conqueror said he had isolated the timeline of a single universe, Karl would believe it.
But severing the connections between the worlds of the Multiverse?
That was complete nonsense.
Even the Five Great Gods could not do that.
The connections between parallel universes were far closer than anyone imagined.
With this guy's ability, he could never accomplish that.
"According to my guess, at most, you cut out this universe's timeline."
"Then you used some method to isolate this universe from the Multiverse."
"Change the Multiverse?"
"With just you?"
"You!"
Kang the Conqueror's dark face instantly flushed red.
Indeed.
Karl was completely right.
Isolating the Multiverse was something he could not do.
He could only protect the timeline of his own universe.
Having it exposed like this still made him feel somewhat embarrassed.
"So what?"
"Even so, I am still the creator of this universe."
"If not for me, this world might have been destroyed long ago."
"You simply do not understand how dangerous the Multiverse is."
"The disorderly spread of timelines will destroy the entire world."
Kang the Conqueror looked at him with contempt.
"Is that so?"
"But I feel I understand far more than you do."
"It's only parallel universes. I know far more about them than you."
Karl glanced at Kang the Conqueror indifferently.
Perhaps in terms of the details, he did not understand this matter deeply.
But when it came to understanding this world itself, Kang the Conqueror was definitely inferior to him.
Karl was also too lazy to waste words with him.
"Speak. What do you plan to use to buy your life?"
Karl stared at Kang the Conqueror as he spoke.
He felt that this guy definitely had something worthwhile in his hands.
If it satisfied him, Karl would not mind sparing his life.
As long as he put Kang on Earth, Kang would never be able to stir up any waves again.
"You want to kill me?"
Kang the Conqueror's tone was filled with disbelief, as if he had heard something absurd.
"What? I can't kill you?"
Karl raised an eyebrow.
He did not look like he was discussing a human life at all.
"Of course not."
"You have no idea what my life means."
"Once I die, the Sacred Timeline will collapse."
"All kinds of possibilities will appear in this world."
"You will fall into the chaos of parallel universes."
"That would be equivalent to throwing open the gates to the entire Multiverse."
"All living beings in this world will sink into ruin and corruption."
Kang the Conqueror stared at Karl as he spoke.
"Is that so?"
Karl said calmly.
"Heh. Believe it or not."
"If you have the ability, then kill me."
"If you don't kill me, you're a coward."
Kang the Conqueror smiled disdainfully.
He actually sat down openly on the ground just like that, his face full of contempt as he looked at Karl.
It was as if he were retaliating against Karl's attitude from earlier.
"Since you put it that way…"
Karl deliberately drew out his words.
"Then I'll satisfy you."
Karl raised his hand.
A transparent blade directly pierced Kang the Conqueror's chest.
Red blood flowed down along the blade.
Kang the Conqueror's eyes suddenly widened.
His face was filled with disbelief.
It was as if he simply could not believe Karl would kill him.
Only after a moment did he seem to snap back to his senses.
"You actually dared to kill me!"
"You're finished! This entire world is finished!"
"I will see you again in the parallel universes!"
After saying that, Kang the Conqueror died on the spot.
His eyes were wide open, the whites showing.
Karl calmly dispersed the magic.
"To think there are actually people in this world who beg for death."
"I've never heard a request like that in my life."
