Karl had not expected to obtain Chaos Magic so easily.
This was one of the strongest powers in this world, on the same level as the Phoenix Force.
It was already a power that could no longer be fully described by the ranking of laws.
Even if he lost his magic right now, relying on the power of Chaos Magic alone would still let him become one of the strongest beings in this world.
Unfortunately, he would never do that.
He believed the path of practice had no upper limit.
Chaos Magic, however, did have a ceiling.
Naturally, Karl would not be foolish enough to cut off his own road forward.

With a pleasant mood, Karl continued strolling around the area.
After helping a few sorcerers solve their problems, Karl ran into Wanda's older brother, Pietro.
The siblings were both mutants.
Wanda's talent was unusually powerful.
Pietro's talent naturally could not be much worse.
However, compared to his younger sister Wanda, Pietro's personality was much more restless. Although he had talent, he had never been able to settle down.
He still had not managed to properly begin learning Kamar-Taj's magic.
When Karl arrived, Pietro was working hard with an extremely serious expression.
But judging from that strained look on his face, anyone could tell things were not going very smoothly for him.
"Pietro, aren't you practicing opening your portal?"
Karl smiled as he spoke.
Quicksilver's entire face scrunched together.
"Sorcerer Supreme, this is way too hard."
"How exactly do you people do it?"
Pietro spoke with a bitter expression.
"It actually isn't that difficult."
"You should have the talent for it."
"Use magic the same way you use your own talent."
Karl spoke calmly.
"That's different."
"My ability only requires me to run."
Quicksilver immediately argued.
"It seems you don't understand your own talent."
"Pure speed alone could never achieve the things you do."
"If you were only fast, what use would you be?"
"How exactly do you save people with your speed?"
Karl asked sharply.
One had to know that the Flash over in DC possessed the Speed Force, which protected him while he moved at extreme speeds, and even then, he still needed to wear special clothing.
What made Quicksilver so special?
Running at that speed, he would be no different from a meteor.
Before he even got anywhere, he would be burned to ash.
But Quicksilver was not only fine—he could even save people.
He ignored the laws of physics.
That was not something pure speed alone could explain.
Quicksilver, however, clearly did not understand.
"Isn't my talent just being fast?"
"As long as speed is high enough, it can do anything."
Quicksilver spoke without hesitation.
"No."
"Kid, you need to understand that when you save someone, the instantaneous acceleration is terrifying."
"An ordinary person would die instantly under that kind of pressure."
"Has that ever happened when you saved someone?"
Karl said.
Quicksilver fell silent at once.
"Then what do you think my ability is?"
Quicksilver asked respectfully.
"Perhaps it is some kind of time-based ability. Perhaps it is some kind of special power."
"Either is possible. I cannot be certain either."
Seeing Quicksilver's dazed expression, Karl spoke again.
"But there is no need for you to be disappointed."
"We happen to have time today. Let's study it."
"Find a place and show me your ability at full strength."
Karl said.
Then he directly grabbed Quicksilver in front of him.
The next moment, they appeared on a vast grassland.
"All right. Show me your ability. Let me see what your ability truly is."
Karl spoke.
What kind of power was this?
They had gone straight from Kamar-Taj to who knew where.
With a grassland like this, they had probably crossed half the planet in one teleportation.
All Pietro could say was that this man truly deserved to be called the Sorcerer Supreme.
When he thought about how he had once wanted to fight Karl, Quicksilver could not help but twitch at the corner of his mouth.
He had practically been courting death back then.
"Then I'll trouble you, Sorcerer Supreme."
Quicksilver gave a respectful nod.
After saying that, Quicksilver's expression turned extremely solemn.
An indescribable power appeared around him.
In an instant, the surrounding time seemed to slow down.
Quicksilver shot out like a streak of lightning.
Karl kept his attention fixed on Quicksilver the entire time.
Now that he was fully focused, he finally noticed something different.
A strange power erupted from Quicksilver's body, separating Quicksilver from the world.
Within that power, the flow of time around him was completely different from the outside world.
"As expected, it's some kind of time isolation method."
"This power really is quite wondrous."
Karl rubbed his chin.
Within the range covered by Quicksilver's power, time flowed much faster than it did outside.
Karl suddenly remembered another detail.
When Quicksilver entered this state, he liked listening to music.
If he were merely moving fast, then in such a short period, what would he even be hearing?
But in that state, music could actually play normally.
That made it very obvious.
He had wrapped himself in something like a time bubble.
It was like a small boat drifting outside the River of Time.
It could even protect whatever was within its range.
"Such a subtle application of time. Interesting."
Karl rubbed his chin in thought.
Could his Law of Time produce a similar effect?

The familiar system notification rang in his mind.
He had also mastered this wondrous ability.
However, compared to Quicksilver, his ability and power were far stronger.
He could change the flow of time in a specific region.
With this miraculous ability, he could fully create the kind of accelerated training space found in high-fantasy stories.
However, the energy consumption of such a space would be terrifying.
Even so, it was still an extremely frightening ability.
He had not expected Quicksilver to give him such a surprise.
This method had an extremely wide range of applications.
Compared to his previous crude use of the Law of Time, it was on a completely different level.
If he had mastered this ability when fighting Mephisto before, he might have been able to kill those three demons in the blink of an eye.
A smile appeared at the corner of Karl's mouth.
Quicksilver immediately shivered.
"Sorcerer Supreme, did you discover something wrong?"
"No. Nothing is wrong. You're excellent."
Karl immediately became gentle and amiable.
