Thanos panted heavily as he stared at Karl.
The emotions surging inside him were far more intense than what showed on his face.
Karl's talent was simply too terrifying.
It had only been a few short days since their last encounter.
Yet his strength had grown again.
That kind of monstrous talent was simply absurd.
Thanos felt that if he did not deal with Karl this time, he would never get another chance.
"Galactus, what are you still watching for?"
"Do you really think you can sit back and reap the benefits?"
"Fight him with me!"
Thanos shouted at Galactus.
"You used me. You mocked me."
"And now you want me to join you against this man?"
Galactus was not confused in the slightest now. He stood off to the side, watching like a bystander, a cold sneer curling at his lips.
"Heh, you're right."
"But aren't you afraid?"
Thanos spoke in a hoarse voice.
"Afraid? What do I have to be afraid of?"
Galactus folded his arms and continued watching with a cold smile.
"You want to devour his planet."
"Do you think that kind of hatred can just be put off until later?"
"With this human's talent, how long do you think you can hold out? One year, or two?"
Thanos barely dodged Karl's attack as he shouted toward Galactus.
Galactus's expression changed as well.
After hearing that, a sudden fear rose in his heart.
This human already possessed such terrifying power.
If he were given a few more years,
what would happen?
The gods of the Marvel Universe measured their lifespans in eons.
To mortals, that was an unimaginably vast span of time.
With this mortal's talent, just how far would he reach?
Galactus wavered.
A strange light flickered in Galactus's eyes.
The surrounding power began to tremble along with the faint fluctuations of his mind.
Thanos was still dodging Karl's attacks in a miserable state.
Even though he had broken through to the Skyfather level,
comprehended a new Law, strengthened his body to an incredible degree, and raised the level at which he could wield the Infinity Stones by several tiers,
he still was not Karl's match.
Under Karl's attacks, he looked extremely miserable.
He darted left and right through space, constantly twisting and leaping, displaying agility completely out of proportion with his massive frame.
However,
as Karl's attacks grew more and more violent, Thanos was beginning to run out of endurance.
"Thanos, instead of asking others for help, you'd be better off relying on yourself."
"Your power can't possibly stop at this."
"Every Skyfather has their own Law. What Law did you comprehend?"
Karl called out to Thanos.
He used thirty percent of his Mental Force against Thanos, while the remaining seventy percent stayed focused on Galactus.
Karl knew perfectly well which one was the truly troublesome opponent.
Even so,
he did not lower his guard against Thanos.
He knew that old monster was definitely hiding something.
How could an old schemer like him be that simple?
After reaching the Skyfather level, everyone comprehended a Law, yet up to now, Thanos had still not revealed his.
He was definitely waiting for an opportunity to launch a sneak attack.
Karl's assault became even fiercer, like a raging storm.
All kinds of magic came at his fingertips.
Tyrannical magical power flowed around Karl.
Under the control of Karl's overwhelming Mental Force, every particle of magic could unleash astonishing might.
And with the Laws in his grasp added on top of that,
every spell he cast carried terrifying power.
Even the aftershocks that leaked away were enough to knock huge asteroids flying.
The battle between them
forcibly blasted a gap more than a hundred million kilometers long through the Kuiper Belt.
A vast number of meteoroids were smashed into dust by the aftermath of their clash.
Under Karl's nearly frenzied assault,
even though Thanos's strength had increased a great deal,
he still could not avoid being injured.
At this point, Thanos was covered in wounds.
Following the principle of striking while the enemy was weak and finishing him off,
Karl pressed the attack harder.
Weapons formed from Spatial Blades were capable of cutting through anything.
There was almost nothing that could stop them.
Even Thanos's body would be wounded by such powerful attacks.
If Karl's strike truly landed on Thanos,
those two attacks alone would be enough to grievously wound him and strip him of the ability to resist.
Just as Karl was about to make his move,
Galactus moved.
In less than a millisecond,
a terrifying power gathered in Galactus's hand, blazing like a sun suspended in the sky.
Without another word,
an enormous sphere of energy blasted straight toward Karl's chest.
Everything in its path was crushed apart by that horrifying force.
Even though Karl's body was incomparably tough, as hard as forged steel, if he were dragged into it,
he would probably be annihilated outright by that terrifying power.
Fortunately, Karl had already been on guard against him.
"Galactus, that move won't work on me anymore."
"I've been wary of you this whole time."
Karl grinned, flashing a row of white teeth.
In the next instant,
golden light flashed.
A gigantic Portal opened.
Galactus had no time to react.
The enormous sphere of energy he had launched was swallowed directly by the Portal.
In a distant region of the cosmos,
golden light flashed once more.
The massive sphere of energy shot out from the Portal,
and several celestial bodies as large as the Moon were directly shattered by that terrifying force, leaving nothing behind.
"Galactus, your power really is impressive."
"Too bad you used it in the wrong place."
Karl spoke coldly.
"You actually cultivated the Law of Space to this extent?"
Galactus was horrified.
Karl's talent had exceeded even his expectations.
Having talent like this at such a young age was already outrageous enough.
But he had also cultivated the Law of Space to such an astonishing level?
How was that even possible?
With talent that terrifying, what was he doing on Earth?
Wouldn't it be better for him to roam the universe?
He could easily become an overlord of one domain.
How could someone like that remain on a tiny planet like Earth?
Now Galactus was truly terrified.
Earlier, when Thanos had said those things, he had still been somewhat dismissive.
But now, Galactus was genuinely afraid.
Even if this was only one avatar of Galactus across the endless Multiverse,
he still had the instinct to survive.
He could not allow that kind of future to happen.
At the same time, a trace of greed rose in his heart.
This man's life essence had to be unimaginably abundant.
Galactus suppressed the shock and greed in his heart.
Power gathered in his hand once again.
"Thanos, pin him down!"
"If we kill this man and obtain his soul,"
"then I'll let bygones be bygones for what happened before!"
With that said, he charged forward directly.
