Chapter 119 - Chapter 119: Going Too Far!

Kyle floated high in the sky, his gaze calmly looking downward. The moment the sound of crackling electricity rang out, his figure once again transformed into purple lightning and shot downward.

Although they had only been fighting for a short time, Kyle understood that in terms of raw power, he was currently still slightly weaker than Kaido.

Kaido was simply too well-rounded; in his hybrid form, he had almost no weaknesses. He could be completely described as a hexagon warrior.

If this were a one-on-one fight with Kaido on land, knowing he couldn't win, he definitely wouldn't bother fighting him.

But now was different!

When it came to aerial combat, that bastard Kaido stood no chance against him. In his Azure Dragon form, Kaido would just be his target practice dummy; he couldn't possibly touch him.

Even if that guy had high defense, by slowly grinding him down, he didn't believe the other could outlast him.

And if the battlefield shifted down to the sea below, then Kaido would have even less of a chance against him.

He could negate the effects of the sea, but could Kaido?

Even if he was an Emperor of the Sea, powerful as he was, so what?

Environmental factors were extremely important. Sometimes, the power of nature could help bridge a significant gap in overall strength, allowing one to defeat an opponent who would otherwise be unbeatable.

Besides, the gap in strength between him and Kaido wasn't that huge.

In the original story, when Big Mom went to Wano, her whole ship could be kicked into the sea by King, causing her to lose her memory.

Once they were at sea, he had plenty of ways to knock that bastard Kaido into the ocean, and then...

Heh heh~

He really wanted to see how Kaido would escape then!!

However, just as Kyle was halfway through his descent, a thick, incomparably massive pillar of fire surged up from below, rushing straight toward him.

Kyle revealed his form, raised his right hand, wrapped it in lightning, and slashed down fiercely.

One after another, massive bolts of lightning materialized with a crack, all of them converging on Kaido's Blast Breath.

The two terrifying attacks clashed in mid-air, unleashing wave after wave of powerful shockwaves.

Soon after, as the commotion gradually subsided, Kyle's brow suddenly furrowed. He looked toward a certain direction and saw an enormous Azure Dragon flying at tremendous speed toward the distance, all while not forgetting to turn back and hurl a threat:

"You little brat Kyle!! My beloved little brothers are calling me back for a banquet, so I'll let you off for today!"

"Next time we meet, I'll definitely beat you until you can't take care of yourself!!"

Kyle: ???

A look of bewilderment crossed Kyle's face, as if he couldn't believe those words had actually come from Kaido's mouth.

But after only a moment of daze, a smile once again appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"Run?! In your dreams! Your young master's favorite thing is to pursue a fleeing foe!!"

Before the words had even faded, Kyle's figure flickered again, instantly vanishing from where he stood.

Elsewhere, as Kaido sped away into the distance, his enormous draconic body was still covered in scorch marks. The numbing sensation coursing through him made him twitch uncontrollably from time to time, his face contorted in a pained grimace.

"That little brat's lightning hurts like hell!!"

As a qualified Emperor of the Sea, when you know the conditions are against you, you run without hesitation.

What Emperor's dignity? Holding the line, fighting to the death against all odds just to prove your strength—that's something only an idiot would do.

When he was younger, being chased by Garp and the others wasn't just a one-time thing. When you need to run, you run; it's not shameful!!

As for his initial boast about whether he could kill him, that was just hot air too.

He only took attacks head-on to prove his strength when he knew the enemy's attacks couldn't really hurt him.

But if he knew an enemy's attack could hurt him and still didn't dodge, then there was something wrong with his head.

It was very clear that Kyle's attacks could hurt him, and what's more, they hurt like hell.

That guy's lightning was absolutely, definitely messed up!!

It wasn't like he'd never been struck by lightning before—hell, he could even use lightning himself—so why didn't his own lightning have this kind of power?!

Damn it, if his hybrid form also had air superiority capabilities, why would he be running? Who'd be running then would still be up for debate!

But just then, he suddenly felt an extremely dangerous presence behind him.

Without a moment's hesitation, his colossal body twisted in the air, coiling into a loop. And in the very next second, a bolt of lightning, thick and powerful, howled right through the circle formed by his body.

The rolling thunderclap almost grazed Kaido's flesh as it passed, and the scattered purple sparks that splashed onto him made him involuntarily shudder a few more times.

After recovering, Kaido suddenly spun his body around, his massive pupils fixed intently on Kyle who was hurtling toward him at tremendous speed. He roared out:

"Kyle, you little brat, you're going too far!!"

"When I have the advantage, if I don't push it, then when will I?"

Kyle asked calmly in return, raising his hand as he spoke, once again summoning several thick purple thunderbolts to strike down at Kaido.

Kaido desperately tried to dodge them, but his body was simply too large, and the thunderbolts were both numerous and fast. He could only evade one or two; the rest landed squarely on him.

A crackling sound filled the air as Kaido's entire draconic form was enveloped in purple lightning. His body convulsed continuously within the ocean of electricity.

After a long moment, as the lightning gradually faded, Kaido's body had darkened by another shade. Black smoke rose from various points on his body, and there was even a faint smell of roasting meat.

"That hurts, you little brat!!"

"You really think I can't do anything to you?!"

Kaido bellowed, his body suddenly surging skyward. Then his form rapidly shrank, reverting to his hybrid state, and he quickly chugged several mouthfuls of alcohol.

A flush of crimson appeared on his face as Kaido immediately entered his Drunken State.

Gripping his massive club tightly, Kaido began swinging it wildly.

"Kongo·Doku!"

Countless pillar-shaped shockwaves shot forth from his club, flying straight toward Kyle.

Kyle narrowed his eyes. He could sense a threatening power from these pillar-shaped shockwaves—their destructive capability was on a different level from the wind blades of "Hakai" or similar attacks.

His eyes narrowing further, Kyle activated his Observation Haki. His form dissolved into purple lightning, twisting and turning continuously through the gaps between the countless pillar-shaped shockwaves.

But as he dodged, Kyle suddenly felt an overwhelmingly powerful sense of threat, instantly tensing his entire body.

Without a moment's hesitation, Purple Lightning appeared in his hand, and he slashed upward fiercely.

At the same time, Kaido's drunken voice echoed from above his head.

"Drunken Hurricane Raimei·Ragnaraku!"

Purple and blackish-red lightning entwined together around Kaido's club as it smashed down heavily onto the Purple Lightning blade in Kyle's hands.

In that instant, the immense force transmitted through the club sent Kyle plummeting from the sky, hurtling down toward the sea surface below like a meteor, moving at incredible speed...
