Chapter 4 - The First Dungeon

The corridor ended.

Darkness folded inward and reshaped itself.

Stone walls rose from nothing. The air grew damp. Heavy. Old. Cursed energy seeped from every crack.

Gojo stepped forward.

"This feels more real," he said quietly.

Blue text appeared.

Dungeon Entry Confirmed

Difficulty: Low

Clear Condition: Eliminate the Core

Gojo frowned.

"Low difficulty? For me?"

No response.

The dungeon didn't care.

The moment he moved, the ground trembled.

From the shadows, figures emerged.

Humanoid curses. Tall. Twisted. Their bodies stitched together from different parts. Their movements jerky, unnatural.

They rushed him.

Gojo didn't activate Infinity.

Not because he couldn't.

Because the Archive was watching.

He moved.

One step.

Sidestep.

Palm strike.

A curse shattered like brittle glass.

Another attacked from behind.

Gojo ducked, twisted, and drove cursed energy directly into its core.

Clean. Efficient.

Numbers flashed.

Energy Usage: Optimal

Decision Time: Improved

More curses poured out.

Ten.

Twenty.

They surrounded him.

Gojo exhaled slowly.

"Alright."

He raised his hand.

Blue activated.

Not wide.

Not flashy.

Controlled.

The pull collapsed the group inward. Their bodies smashed into each other. Before they could recover, Gojo followed with precise Red bursts.

Each strike calculated.

Each kill deliberate.

No wasted motion.

The dungeon floor cracked.

Silence returned.

Then the ground split open.

From below rose the Dungeon Guardian.

Massive.

Four arms.

A skull-like face carved with seals.

Its presence alone distorted space.

Gojo felt it.

This one wasn't fodder.

The guardian moved faster than expected.

A fist slammed toward him.

Gojo blocked.

The impact sent him sliding back.

He smiled.

"Good. Something worth hitting."

They clashed.

No tricks.

No shortcuts.

Just power versus precision.

The guardian adapted quickly. Changed attack angles. Increased output.

Blue text appeared mid-fight.

Enemy Adaptation Detected

Recommendation: Kill and Convert

Gojo paused mid-motion.

"Convert?"

The guardian roared.

Gojo stepped forward instead of back.

He condensed cursed energy into his palm. Dense. Focused. Perfectly shaped.

One strike.

Straight through the guardian's chest.

The core cracked.

The monster froze.

Then black smoke poured out.

The Archive spoke.

Conversion Available

Condition: Domination

Gojo placed his hand on the collapsing body.

"Obey."

The guardian shattered into shadows.

The dungeon trembled.

Blue text flooded the air.

Dungeon Cleared

Shadow Acquired

Rank: Guardian-Class

A figure formed behind Gojo.

Tall. Silent. Kneeling.

A shadow soldier.

Not alive.

Not dead.

Bound.

Gojo turned, eyes narrowing slightly.

"So this is how it works."

More text appeared.

Shadow Inventory Unlocked

Current Shadows: 1

Command Authority: Absolute

Gojo chuckled softly.

"Dangerous system."

The dungeon began to collapse.

The world dissolved back into white.

Archive space returned.

The shadow remained behind him.

Waiting.

The Archive spoke again.

Lesson Recorded

Flaw Reduced: Overconfidence

Next Objective Pending

Gojo looked at the shadow.

Then at the endless doors ahead.

"This isn't a second chance," he said calmly.

"It's a reconstruction."

And for the first time since Shibuya,

The strongest wasn't just powerful.

He was evolving.
