Chapter 40 - Chapter 40 — Fuel for Monsters

Month: September

Year: X775

Location: Magnolia · Fairy Tail Guild

Ages:

Kaito / Erza / Mirajane / Juvia — 10

Elfman — 9

Lysanna — 8

---

The idea started as a complaint.

"These kids eat more than S-Class mages," Wakaba grumbled, watching Erza finish her third plate.

Kaito paused mid-bite.

…Then smiled.

---

By the next morning, a small shop sign hung near the guild hall.

"Guild-Only Nutrition & Support Goods — Run by Kaito."

Macao blinked. "That was fast."

Cana leaned in. "What are you selling?"

"Spatial protein blends," Kaito replied calmly. "Tailor-made. Based on magic type, growth phase, and recovery needs."

The guild went silent.

"…What?"

Erza tilted her head. "Protein?"

Mirajane grinned. "Sounds expensive."

"For guild members," Kaito said, "cheap."

He glanced at the group behind him.

"For you guys—free."

Lysanna's eyes sparkled. "Really?!"

Elfman clenched his fists. "That's manly!"

Juvia clasped her hands. Kaito is amazing…

---

The effects were immediate.

Training sessions lasted longer. Recovery was faster. Fatigue vanished quicker than normal.

Makarov watched from the balcony, eyes sharp. "That kid's running support like a strategist."

Gray gulped his drink. "…Why does this taste like it's mocking me?"

"Because it's working," Cana smirked.

---

Training spread across Magnolia.

Erza — Sword Magic & Telekinesis

Steel hovered around her—five blades suspended midair as she moved.

"Blumenblatt."

The swords spiraled outward, petals of steel slicing clean arcs before snapping back into formation.

Her brow furrowed in focus as she added Telekinesis, controlling angles, speed, spacing.

Kaito watched quietly. Efficiency improving. Mental load still high.

Great Sage noted: Suggest stamina enchantment integration.

---

Mirajane — Transformation & Auxiliary Magic

Her demon arm faded in and out as she practiced controlled partial transformations.

"Dream Knock."

A pulse of Sleep Magic rippled outward—light, controlled.

"Not bad," Erza admitted reluctantly.

Mira smirked. "Jealous?"

She followed it with crackling Lightning and condensed Water magic in demon form—raw, unstable, but powerful.

Guild men watched from afar.

"…She's terrifying."

"…And hot."

"…Why is Kaito standing so close?"

Mirajane leaned over, whispering into Kaito's ear. "You like watching?"

"Very much."

Several chairs cracked under jealous pressure.

---

Juvia — Water's Heart

Steam hissed around her as Sierra activated—boiling water swirling with her emotions.

She trembled, then steadied.

"Water-Make: Lance."

Solid water formed cleanly in her hands—smooth, sharp.

Gray watched, stunned. "…She's learning fast."

Later, the water around her surged as Juvia Aquarius manifested—mermaid form, tidal pressure bending space around her.

Juvia blushed when Kaito clapped. He noticed…

---

Lysanna & Elfman — The First Steps

Lysanna shifted partially—ears, wings, claws flickering as Animal Soul responded.

Elfman roared as Beast Soul surged—muscle expanding, power raw but unshaped.

Kaito adjusted their nutrition personally.

"Slow," he said gently. "Your bodies will catch up."

They nodded—trust absolute.

---

Kaito — Enchantment & Convenience Magic

Late at night, he practiced alone.

Runes shimmered over his hands as he layered basic enchantments—strength, stability, efficiency.

Great Sage guided every step.

Chant unnecessary.

Mana loss reduced.

Compatibility high.

Predator refined his body quietly in the background.

He exhaled. This world really lets you grow.

---

By evening, the guild hall was loud again.

Erza stood beside Kaito, arms crossed. "Your food works."

Mirajane leaned on his other side. "He's spoiling us."

Juvia nodded quickly. "J-Juvia agrees…"

Three glares from jealous men followed.

Cana laughed. "You're gonna start a war."

Kaito smiled, unbothered.

Fairy Tail trained.

Fairy Tail flirted.

Fairy Tail grew stronger.

And for once—

Everyone felt it.

They weren't just surviving anymore.

They were becoming legends.
