"Wait, they evolved?!"
Asteria hurriedly summoned her runes and read them:
[Name: Asteria
True Name: Queen of Nightmare
Rank: Fallen
"FALLEN?! I'M A NIGHTMARE CREATURE?!"
Her mind went to her attribute, [Corrupted]... "You are closer to profanity than sanity."
'DAMNATION' She exclaimed in horror at what this means.
Class: Monster
Dream Cores: 2/7
Spell Fragments: [398/2000]
She stared at the number of fragments she had for a moment then sighed. '300 from killing the Queen... I can't do that any more can I?'
Attributes: ... ... [Flame of Divinity]
"Oh? So I'm corrupted and now a flame of divine energy... great."
[Flame of Divinity]: "Your soul is aflame with the light of divinity."
Though what concerned her more was her aspect. Blessed by Nightmare was gone.
Instead, it was replaced by [Heralded by Nightmare]
[Heralded by Nightmare Aspect Description]: "You were born of the waking world, yet made for the one that dreams. The nightmare and the dream is a sanctuary to be claimed and owned. You are a part of this eternal dream, heralded and praised by its inhabitants."
'...What the spell does that mean?!'
Through belated thoughts and exasperation, Asteria turned her attention towards her new abilities.
Aspect Ability: [Gift of Nightmare].
Ability Description: "You are the fuel to the great machine. Using your own essence you can assist the machine in its creations of armaments."]
"I CAN CREATE MEMORIES?!" Her eyes went wide at the possibilities. "Can I choose what they are? Can I make echoes? No, wait don't get ahead of yourself... "
Steadying her breath, she looked down at the second ability she unlocked.
Aspect Ability: [Unbound by Dream]
Ability Description: ["You are the bane of dreams. You can enter the dreams of those around you or have marked with the brand and freely leave within the dream. You are one with the nightmare and have the freedom to come and go from within its trials."]
'What the spell does this mean? I can haunt people and... enter and exit nightmare seeds...?'
Asteria nearly collapsed – if she even had something to collapse onto. Her heart nearly stopped when she read that.
"Divine aspect for the win! Oh this is awesome, this is great I will make so much money..." Coins nearly replaced her retinas at this thought.
She laughed, a crazy, excited laughter. The prospect of wealth is all she needs to boost her mood.
'Right... Memories, memories. Nearly forgot... '
[Crown of Golden Glass]
Memory Rank: Supreme
"HAH? I'M A MASTER WITH A SUPREME MEMORY?!"
Memory Tier: IV
Memory Type: Tool
"Well... I thought it'd be armour or a garment not a tool..."
Memory Description: ["A fragile, beautiful golden laurel forged from the Kingdom of Glass by a master artisan. It was once the symbol of a sovereign who chose to dream rather than to rule.
Now, the laurel has been purged of its madness, leaving only the cold, unyielding weight of authority.
It is the crown of a Queen who never was, stolen and worn by a thief who took everything – the insatiable Queen of Nightmare."]
'Insatiable? Really, Spell?'
Memory Enchantments: [Sovereign's Focus], [Sun's Decree], [Queen's Authority]
[Sovereign's Focus]: Greatly enhances the wearer's mind and mental fortitude. The wearer's mind is enhanced in its thinking capabilities and a strong resistance to mind attacks is added.
[Sun's Decree]: The wearer can emit a purifying light that can stun, heal or remove hexes as well as assist those who have lost themselves back to sanity.
[Queen's Authority]: The wearer's presence becomes physically heavy to those with weaker wills, making it difficult to take their eyes off of the wearer and to maintain aggressive stances or coherent thought.
'Oh I like this, I really like it.'
Her eyes focused on the Sun's Decree enchantment more than the rest. "Healing... I can heal people... Why should I do that?"
'But what does it mean my thinking capabilities are enhanced? Are you calling me stupid?'
Next, her jaw dropped. She thought the crown was special, what about [Sentinel's Heart]?
[Sentinel's Heart]
Memory Rank: Transcendent
Memory Tier: VI
Memory Type: Weapon
"Is this the jian? Oh come home sweet weapon, I missed you!'
Memory Description: ["Forged in the starlight of the moon – the explosive moonlight of the stone within a dead era, this jian was crafted for the First Sentinel of Aethelgard.
This jian contains the will, the soul and heart of the Sentinel after his death. This sword is no longer a mere tool of war, it is a record of forgotten history and the thief's determination to possess it.
This blade does not care for the sharpness of its edge, for it strikes with the weight of the soul."]
Memory Enchantments: [Indomitable Spirit], [Heart's Vein]
[Indomitable Spirit]: This blade will cut anything the user has their mind set to. The Will of the user is enhanced and proportional to the strength of this blade.
[Heart's Vein]: The Sentinel's heart lays within this jian. This blade will fit its owner in shape, size and armament.
If she was in the waking world, Asteria might've passed away right there.
"A sword that can cut anything as long as I'm determined, and can change its shape to whatever I want it to be?" She gave a heavy exhale. "I think this is the best weapon to exist... "
'Surely the next one isn't as extreme as the last ones...' Although she wished for this, deep down she hoped it was even better.
[Unseen Mantle]
Memory Rank: Transcendent
Memory Tier: I
Memory Type: Garment
Memory Description: ["This tattered, shifting mantle was woven from the spire's deepest mines and the silence of a garden lost in its own flowers.
This mantle defies searching eyes, changing shape to the wearer's commands, allowing the wearer to slip past detection and maintain unrecognizable attire for those who would seek to remember their face."]
Memory Enchantments: [Ghost], [Formless], [Enduring]
[Ghost]: Masks the presence of the wearer from the senses of others, making them difficult to notice.
[Formless]: This mantle's fabric is like liquid – assuming the shape and texture of any mundane attire.
[Enduring]: The mantle is durable, resistant to the elements and can mend damages.
"This is good, very good!" A smile made it's way onto her face, "I now never need to buy clothes!"
As her joy permeated her body, and her laughter died out, the spell whispered in her ear.
[...Wake up, Asteria.]
[Your nightmare is over!]
Though when she opened her eyes, she wasn't in the waking world.
She was on the shore of a chaotic rainbow sea with two violet suns hanging in the sky – with a large cocoon in the center of the waves tearing itself open.
