Chapter 5 - True Power Of Rey

During the journey of Rey, Melvin, and Elysa alongside Evelyn's group, Evelyn suddenly asked about Rey's status as an S-Class Adventurer.

Evelyn:

"Lord Rey… did you only register at the Adventurer Guild in Beginner City recently?"

Rey:

"Yes. I just registered there yesterday."

Evelyn:

"Oh… so you registered just yesterday. Coincidentally, yesterday there was a major announcement from the Adventurer Guild. It was because a newly registered adventurer was discovered to have only MP 10. Because of that, many parties were warned to be careful when recruiting, so they wouldn't be deceived by that person."

Rey:

"MP 10?? Hahahahaha… is that really that bad?"

Evelyn:

"Lord Rey… someone with MP 10 won't be able to do anything. They can't even activate skills."

Rey:

"Ohhh… is that so? But what if that person has another way that doesn't rely on MP at all? Would that still be considered useless?"

Evelyn:

"Lord Rey… you're very good at joking. There has never been anyone in this world who succeeded without using skills. So if someone doesn't have enough MP, they won't be able to activate their skills at all."

Rey laughed at Evelyn's statement.

Not long after that, they arrived at the Castle of Clan Rose.

The place was filled with women. Clan Rose had a strict rule—men were forbidden from joining the clan. Upon arriving at the grand hall where the Clan Leader resided, there stood one magnificent throne, along with ten slightly smaller thrones arranged before it.

Evelyn walked toward one of the smaller thrones and sat down.

The ten individuals seated on the thrones began discussing what had happened over the past few days—about the Vice Leader bringing in outsiders, about Marek, and about his confrontation with Vice Leader Evelyn.

Some of them strongly opposed Rey's presence.

Even though Rey was acknowledged as an S-Class Adventurer, he was still a man. Clan Rose had established their rules from the very beginning—no men were allowed, especially not inside meetings or areas reserved for high-ranking members.

Clan Rose had eleven S-Class members, and every single one of them was female.

Evelyn explained everything to them—the strength of Rey, and the threat posed by Clan Glory toward Melvin and Elysa and about Rey request.

Among the nine others, some agreed, while others opposed Evelyn's suggestion of entrusting one of their members to a stranger.

Those who agreed said that Rey had saved the Vice Leader and her subordinates from being forced into battle with Clan Glory. The Currency exchange shop Rey had visited was close to Clan Glory's territory, so reinforcements from Clan Glory would have arrived quickly.

Those who opposed, however, argued:

"He's an outsider."

"He's a man."

"He already has two women with him."

"And now he wants to take another one from Clan Rose?"

"Does that make any sense? Can't you see what kind of game this man is playing? A lecher who wants many women just to build a harem."

Suddenly—

Tap… tap… tap…

The sound of footsteps echoed through the hall.

Slow, steady, yet filled with overwhelming pressure.

The sound came from the largest throne.

The Leader of Clan Rose stood up and descended from her throne, walking straight toward Rey.

When she stopped in front of him—

Blue pupils.

Silver hair.

A silver-black assassin outfit.

A beautiful yet cold face.

She was Eris, Level 67.

Eris:

"You… are you a Player from another world? Are you the one with extremely low MP that everyone's talking about? I heard that yesterday someone registered at the Adventurer Guild with only MP 10. And after that person registered, no one else registered at the guild until today."

"You were only given Class D, because your level is only 15… and yet you defeated Marek? Don't make me laugh."

Eris activated Appraisal.

A faint glow appeared in her eyes, indicating that the skill was active.

Inside his mind, Rey spoke to the System.

Rey:

"What is she doing, System?"

System:

"She is viewing Host's level and stats. But Host need not worry. The System has already altered Host's displayed level to Level 15, so no one will know the truth. Moreover, she is only using Appraisal."

Rey:

"What's the difference compared to my Invisible Sight?"

System:

"The difference is that when Appraisal is activated, others can tell by the glow in the user's eyes. It also has many limitations. One major weakness is that they cannot view the level or stats of someone who exceeds their level by more than 15. For example, Eris at Level 67 cannot view the stats of someone who is Level 82 or higher."

Rey:

"Ohhh… I see. But she's being rude, checking my stats without permission."

System:

"That is correct, Host. Such individuals should be given a warning. I recommend that Host activate your true Level 40 status. Host may also allocate the stat points stored in inventory, since they were not used after the dungeon."

Rey:

"Relax… relax… let's release things one by one. When things get desperate, then we release full power. That's when it looks like a badass Hero… hehehehe."

After Eris finished viewing Rey's status, she chuckled and released a hologram-like device.

Rey's status appeared in the air.

For a moment—

The entire hall burst into laughter.

"What… is this really the status of an S-Class Adventurer? Hahahahaha!"

"So low… MP 10??? How is he even supposed to kill monsters?"

"Hey, hey! Look—there's something slightly useful! HP 3000!!! HAHAHA!"

"Didn't even choose a Role yet? How did he even get Class D? He should be Class E, the lowest!"

Evelyn stared at Rey's status, completely shocked.

She couldn't believe it.

The power Rey displayed earlier was terrifying—if he fought the Clan Leader seriously, the outcome wouldn't be clear at all.

She was about to speak—

But suddenly—

Crack.

The space around them trembled.

Windows shattered.

Pillars made of dense, hardened metal cracked deeply.

Beneath Rey's feet, the floor caved in.

He had slammed his foot down with full force—using only Level 15 strength.

The entire hall fell silent.

The status window vanished instantly.

Rey:

"Tch… do you all enjoy peeking at other people's status so much?"

Eris's eyes widened.

Without hesitation, she drew her weapon and attacked Rey at blinding speed.

Rey merely smiled.

Eris vanished and reappeared behind him, activating her assassin skill—

Backstab Mastery.

System:

"System has detected a lethal attack directed at Host. Host is advised to activate full Level 40 status to face an individual with killing intent."

Rey:

"Relax, System. I want to see how strong a Level 67 really is… using only my Level 15 stats."

Just as Eris's blade was about to pierce him—

Clank!

Metal collided with metal.

Rey had blocked it with his dagger.

He smiled.

Rey:

"Hey… not bad. You're pretty strong."

Eris (furious):

"You… I will kill you."

They clashed again.

Shing—! Clank!

Weapons collided repeatedly.

Eris was slightly faster, having activated Shadow Step, allowing her to reposition faster than Rey by a few moments.

But Rey didn't give up.

Rey:

"Tch… this woman… you want it that badly, huh? Then take this—Justice Punch!"

The moment his punch was unleashed—

The ground exploded.

The impact resembled a massive magic attack with a 50-meter radius.

Eris barely managed to activate Shadow Step, evading the direct hit.

Even so, the shockwave blasted her far away.

Thanks to her high AGI, she stabilized herself upon landing.

The hall fell silent once more.

The nine subordinates of Eris stared in shock.

With those stats… how could Rey fight evenly with their Clan Leader?

Eris stood up and stared at Rey.

Her eyes narrowed.

Eris:

"Hmmm… so you've been hiding your true status all this time, huh?"

Rey:

"I just don't like it when people secretly peek at my status. So… are you done with all this? Can my request be fulfilled?"

Eris:

"Do you know how rare a adventurer with a Support Role is? On top of that, she's a Player like you, meaning her potential is enormous. The two women who came with you are also Players, aren't they? Don't you understand what that means?"

Rey smirked arrogantly.

Rey:

"That's exactly why I want a Support Role from among the Players. I've felt it since the moment I arrived in this world."

"For their safety…"

"You don't need to worry."

"I'll protect them."

For a moment—

The nine subordinates of Eris stepped down from their thrones and gathered behind her.

They then called out to Evelyn, instructing her to participate in their Ultimate Attack Formation.

Evelyn hesitated… but in the end, she was forced to comply.

Mana was gathered.

All of them channeled their mana into Evelyn and Eris.

The plan was simple.

Eris would attack first and stun Rey, allowing Evelyn's Ultimate Attack to land directly on him.

They had used this combination many times before.

And every time—

They had successfully defeated monsters of Level 70 and above.

Once their preparations were complete—

Eris moved.

With her maximum speed, she instantly closed the distance between herself and Rey.

Using Shadow Step, her movements distorted Rey's vision.

This time—

Rey found it far more difficult to block her attacks.

Because Eris had finally become serious.

Suddenly—

Blood trickled down Rey's hand… and cheek.

The blade slashes were shallow, but every cut brought sharp pain—

Along with a Stun Effect.

System:

"Host… you have been affected by Stun. You are unable to move for several seconds. Would you like to activate your true Level 40?"

Before Rey could even respond—

A massive attack surged forward.

A giant ice spear, shaped like a double-bladed lance, shot straight toward Rey.

Rey was completely cornered.

At that exact moment—

Elysa and Melvin stepped forward.

They tried to stand in front of the incoming spear, attempting to shield Rey.

Everyone present was shocked.

They shouted warnings at Melvin and Elysa, urging them to retreat immediately.

But Melvin and Elysa had already made their decision.

Rey had saved them—

From powerful monsters—

When they were trapped inside the dungeon.

Just an instant before the ice spear struck the three of them—

A tremendous punch was unleashed.

BOOOOM—

The entire space shattered.

The ground collapsed.

The ice spear disintegrated into nothingness—vanishing like ash.

The direction of the punch continued onward—

Erasing everything in its path.

The destruction stretched almost to the outer edge of Clan Rose's territory.

Panic erupted throughout Clan Rose.

The attack had originated from the Meeting hall.

Those who were present in the hall froze.

Almost all of the clan founders collapsed to the ground, trembling in fear at the sheer power displayed.

Eris fell to her knees.

Sweat dripped down her cheeks.

She couldn't believe it.

A boy—

Someone who had registered just yesterday—

Was overwhelmingly stronger than her.

When they looked toward Rey's position—

They saw him standing proudly.

One foot rested atop a massive chunk of rubble.

His right hand gripped his dagger.

His stance resembled that of a lone warrior.

Rey's eyes were sharp.

His expression was ferocious.

He was furious.

Rey:

"SO… IS THAT ALL THE POWER YOUR COMBINED FORCE HAS?"

"I WANNA ASK THIS—DOES YOUR CLAN WANT TO BE ERASED FROM THIS WORLD?"

Fear spread instantly through the hall.

Inside Rey's mind:

"Good thing the System activated my Level 40 in time… If not, I'd be dead. You people really need a lesson—attacking others with killing intent so casually."

Evelyn hurried toward Rey.

Evelyn:

"Lord Rey… we sincerely apologize. We will provide compensation that will greatly benefit you."

Inside Rey's thoughts:

"Hmm… so that means I can take a Support Role for free. But they still need to realize what they've done."

Rey:

"Do you really think your wrongdoing can just disappear like that?"

Eris bowed deeply, still kneeling.

Eris:

"Lord Rey… I apologize. This is entirely my fault for checking your status and stats without permission. Everything is my responsibility."

"What do you desire? As for your previous request, our side will grant it freely. If there is anything lacking, please tell me. As the Clan Leader, I will ensure it is fulfilled."

Rey:

"I want to form my own party."

"And in the future… I may even establish my own clan."

"I hope Clan Rose will cooperate and support my party—and my clan—when that time comes."

Eris:

"Understood, Lord Rey. Clan Rose will support your party. As for your future clan—Clan Rose will become your primary alliance once it is established."

Rey:

"Good. Then… can I take a Support Role from your clan now?"

Eris:

"Yes, Lord Rey. I will summon all Support Role members of Clan Rose to the Clan Hall to meet you."

Rey:

"All of them? but i already talk to you about that...hurmmmm...Alright then… but do I need to pay for the heavy damage done to your conference hall?"

Eris:

"No, Lord Rey. Clan Rose will handle the repairs ourselves. Since our defeat, you have become a VIP Guest of Clan Rose."

Inside Rey's mind:

"Phew… thank goodness. I was worried how much all this destruction would cost."

System:

"Host… the System recommends that Host present a small gift to Clan Rose to further strengthen your relationship."

"This will ensure that in the future, if Host and the selected Candidates are ever in danger, they may temporarily take refuge within Clan Rose."

"This will allow Host to focus fully when facing powerful enemies."

Rey:

"…That's a good suggestion. I was thinking about that too—if I face a strong enemy, what happens to my party members?"

"Alright. When the time comes, help me decide on an appropriate gift."

System:

"Understood, Host. The System will provide suggestions when the time is right."

After that, Eris invited Rey's group to follow her toward Clan Rose's main Clan Hall.

Along the way, Rey observed the architecture.

The doors and buildings were magnificent—elegant and beautiful.

Rey:

"Interesting… I really like this design."

Eris and the other high-ranking members expressed their gratitude for the compliment.

They then entered the hall.

Inside—

A group of people was already waiting.

No more than twenty.

When Rey saw them, he was surprised.

Rey:

"Less than twenty people? Support Roles really are that rare, huh?"

System:

"That is correct, Host. Support Roles generally have lower durability and are easily targeted by enemies."

"Because of that, many choose other roles. Some parties even choose to operate without Supports, relying instead on large quantities of potions."

Rey:

"But I'm going to change that perspective."

"I'll change the view that a Support only stays in the back and can't deal significant damage."

System:

"The System understands Host's desire. The System will assist Host in achieving that goal."

Rey:

"Hehehehe… now that is a System that understands its Master."

The System made an annoyed expression.

System:

"…But Host seems to value a harem more than the System itself."

Rey:

"Eh—no, no! The System is my life. How could I abandon you so easily?"

The System gave Rey a thumbs-up.

Inside Rey's mind:

"Alright… now it's time to find the Candidate the System chose."

When Eris and the other high-ranking members arrived—

All the summoned members were eagerly waiting, expecting some grand reward.

But when they saw Rey, Melvin, and Elysa—

Confusion spread.

Some felt uncomfortable.

Some even spoke aloud.

"Why is there a man inside this sacred Clan Hall?"

Others nodded in agreement.

But one girl remained silent.

Her name was Luna.

A very beautiful girl.

Fair skin.

Long blonde hair, neatly tied.

Wearing light-orange armor designed specifically for a Support Role.

She stayed quiet because she was often pushed aside by other clan members—

Due to her low level.

She had been invited into the clan by Eris, yet many of the high-ranking members disliked her.

Eris raised her hand, signaling everyone to be silent.

She sat upon the Clan Leader's seat.

The other leaders followed suit.

Evelyn sat beside Eris, though Eris's chair was more magnificent—symbolizing her authority.

To Eris's right, a grand seat had been prepared—

For Rey, Melvin, and Elysa.

VIP Guests of Clan Rose.

Eris:

"Everyone. I introduce to you the VIP Guest of Clan Rose—Lord Rey. He is an adventurer with S-Class strength. I expect all of you to show proper respect."

The other high-ranking members also signaled their agreement.

The hall erupted in shock.

Since the founding of Clan Rose—

There had never been a male VIP Guest.

They wanted to ask questions—

But fear held them back.

Eris:

"Lord Rey has come here seeking assistance from our clan. As the Clan Leader, I have agreed to his request."

"You will follow the clan's decision and refrain from unnecessary questions."

"The reason I gathered you here today is simple."

"Lord Rey wishes to recruit one of you into the party he is forming."

In Rey's mind "This woman...i think i already tell her that i want a Player that i have been chosen."

The crowd was stunned.

A man—

Requesting a Support from Clan Rose—

A role that was extremely rare in this world.

Many assumed he had ulterior motives.

Whispers spread.

"He must be after women."

"Look, all his party members are female."

"What did he give them? Why are they following such a shameless man?"

Their whispers were heard.

By Rey.

By Melvin.

By Elysa.

By Eris.

By Evelyn.

And by the other leaders.

Before Eris could calm them—

Crack.

The floor beneath Rey's feet split open.

Rey was furious.

They had made Melvin and Elysa sad.

One of the high-ranking members immediately released their aura, suppressing the crowd.

High-Ranking Member:

"Have you not listened to the Clan Leader? Have we not already declared Lord Rey as a VIP Guest?"

Fear struck them instantly.

They all apologized at once to Rey, Melvin, and Elysa.

Just as Rey looked at them—

Ding. Dong.

System Notification:

"New Candidate detected."

Rey:

"Luna…? Hmm… that name sounds nice."

"But her MP is unusually high for someone at Level 8. Why is that, System?"

System:

"Because she is one of the Players who obtained a special passive skill when she was transferred to this world."

"That is why the System recommended her to Host."

Rey:

"Ohhh… I see."

"But what about Melvin and Elysa? Don't they have something like that too?"

System:

"Of course they do, Host."

"However, their advantages are currently locked. Even they themselves are unaware of it."

Rey:

"Can't I help unlock their skills?"

System:

"You can, Host—because Host possesses the System."

"But… Host must complete a mission and obtain the Title 'Bond of the Strong' first. Only then can their skills be unlocked."

Rey:

"So that means I have to marry them as soon as possible, get the Title, and unlock their skills?"

System:

"That is correct, Host."

"However, Host must not rush."

"To obtain that Title, the Candidate must willingly choose to live and die together with Host. Their hearts cannot be forced."

"If not… the Title will not be granted."

Rey:

"Ohhh… I understand."

"But how many Candidates are there? And how many Titles do I get if each Candidate gives me the same one?"

System:

"It does not work that way."

"The Title Bond of the Strong has its own level system."

"Each Candidate contributes +1 level to the Title."

Rey:

"Ohhh… so does that mean I'll get a hundred harem members? Hihihihihi~"

Rey smiled foolishly to himself.

System:

"No. No. No."

"There will not be up to 100 Candidates chosen by the System. Host should not make assumptions."

Rey:

"Okay, okay. I'm just joking. Just daydreaming to kill boredom."

The System grew irritated and was about to administer retribution—

But stopped when Rey quickly apologized.

After that—

Rey stood up and walked toward the group of Support members.

His gaze stopped on one person.

Rey:

"Luna… would you like to come with me and my companions to form a party?"

The entire hall was shocked.

Even Eris fell silent.

Rey had chosen Luna—

A low-level Player.

A Class E adventurer.

Yet remembering Rey's overwhelming strength—

Eris closed her eyes and smiled faintly.

She understood what Rey was trying to do.

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Note:

Level 1–10 → Class E

Level 11–20 → Class D

Level 21–30 → Class C

Level 50+ → Class S

This classification system is only applied in the country Rey is currently in—Christope.

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Luna herself was stunned.

Even though she was a Support—

She was often rejected by other parties.

Even her fellow Players from Earth had refused to accept her.

Yet the figure standing before her now—

Had given her a chance to prove herself.

Luna smiled softly and lowered her head.

Lena:

"Thank you for the offer, Lord Rey… but only if Lady Eris permits me—"

Before she could finish—

Eris spoke first.

Eris:

"Go."

"You have been alone for far too long."

"Even though I invited you into Clan Rose, I rarely had time to guide you or take you into dungeons."

"This is your chance to show your talent."

Luna trembled at Eris's words.

Luna:

"Yes, Lady Eris… I will follow Lord Rey."

"And I will never forget your kindness toward me."

Tears fell from Luna's eyes.

Eris looked at her and gently closed her eyes.

She felt sadness at Luna's departure—

But also relief.

Because the one who would protect her now—

Was stronger than the combined might of Clan Rose's strongest members.

Luna then thanked Rey sincerely for accepting her into the party.

Rey:

"It's nothing. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses."

After some light conversation—

They exited the Clan Hall.

Eris made a formal announcement to the clan members—

That Rey's Party was officially recognized as VIP Guests of Clan Rose.

A celebration was prepared to commemorate the formation of Rey's party.

Eris requested Rey to stay the night.

The next day, Evelyn would escort him to the Adventurer Guild to officially register the party.

Suddenly—

A subordinate rushed in with urgent news.

The damage caused earlier amounted to nearly 5,000 gold coins in losses.

Rey was shocked.

Rey:

"Five thousands?! Was the damage really that severe?"

Eris:

"Err… it's not that bad, Lord Rey."

"With Clan Rose's income, that amount isn't considered too large."

However—

Eris and the other leaders looked exhausted and pale.

Rey noticed.

He asked Eris to show him the full extent of the damaged area.

He had thought only the conference hall was destroyed.

When they arrived—

Rey was stunned.

Rey (to System):

"Hey, System… is my power really this destructive?"

System:

"That is correct, Host."

"With Host's stats and the Chosen One Title, this level of power is expected."

Rey:

"But isn't this too much?"

"Why wasn't it this destructive in the dungeon?"

System:

"Dungeons possess far stronger durability and resistance compared to the outside world."

Rey:

"Ohhh… I see."

"But the impact of my attack is still insane…"

The scene revealed—

A forest behind Clan Rose's conference hall had been completely erased.

Storage warehouses containing collected items were destroyed.

The destruction stretched nearly 200 meters.

Inside Rey's heart:

"I need to control my full power better from now on."

Rey thought for a moment—

Then opened his inventory.

He decided to compensate for the damage.

Fortunately, there were no civilians nearby.

No casualties occurred.

Rey took out a Mana Stone and handed it to Eris.

Everyone froze.

Eris.

The leaders.

Melvin.

Elysa.

All were shocked.

Eris:

"L-Lord Rey… is that a Mana Stone?!"

Rey:

"Yes. This is the compensation—and a gift."

Eris was stunned.

Eris:

"But Lord Rey… this is a High-Grade Mana Stone."

"It's worth over 10,000 gold coins!"

Rey:

"It's fine."

"Use it wisely."

"But I have an important request—one that I hope all of you can help me with."

Everyone grew serious.

Rey:

"I ask all of you to hide my true identity and strength."

"Outside, treat me as only a Class D Adventurer."

"And call me by my alias—Ace."

Silence filled the area.

Then—

Understanding dawned.

They nodded.

This secret would be protected at all costs.

After that—

They dispersed.

The leaders carried out their duties.

Eris and Evelyn offered to show Rey around Clan Rose.

Luna invited Melvin and Elysa to explore the area and visit the baths to refresh themselves.

When Rey overheard that—

He made a lewd expression.

The System immediately scolded him.

Soon—

They split up.

Rey followed Eris and Evelyn.

Clan Rose was vast—spanning dozens of square kilometers.

He was shown courtyards, buildings, halls, training grounds, and more.

That night—

Eris hosted a grand banquet.

All Clan Rose members attended.

They showed deep respect to Rey and his party—

The honored VIP Guests.

The celebration lasted until late into the night.

Eventually—

Melvin, Elysa, and Lena retired to their rooms.

Rey stood alone by the window of the room Eris had prepared for him.

He gazed into the night sky.

Thinking about tomorrow.

Would party registration go smoothly?

Had Marek already begun making his move?

Rey sighed.

Too troublesome to think about.

Rey:

"System… is my progress too fast?"

System:

"Host… I will be honest."

"Your growth speed is normal for someone with your talent."

"The System does not consider Host's progress excessive."

"However—if Host grows too fast, certain entities will take notice."

"They will seek Host—and the System."

"That would endanger Host, your party members… and even this world itself."

Rey:

"HEY—what do you mean this world?"

"Entities? They're not from this world?"

"What level are they?"

System:

"Host… I advise you to rest."

"The System will explain everything when the time comes."

Rey:

"You expect me to just forget about it?"

"…Haaaah. Fine."

"But answer me this—right now, at Level 40, what level am I comparable to?"

System:

"After calculations… Host's combat power is comparable to someone at Level 90."

Rey:

"Level 90?!"

"But when you controlled my body, you defeated a Level 89 monster easily."

"And that was before I even reached Level 40!"

System:

"That is true."

"But monster levels are not the same as human levels."

"Humans possess intelligence and adaptability."

"Some monster species have extremely high intelligence as well."

"In the past, parties of Level 85–90 struggled to defeat a Level 80 monster."

"The Frost Dragon you defeated was a normal species with low intelligence."

"However, special species like Earth Dragons, with their thick hides—"

"And Rare, Legendary, or Mythic monsters—"

"Even at lower levels, they are extremely difficult to defeat in a 1v1."

Rey:

"So if that Earth Dragon I fought before was Level 89…"

"I'd probably lose even if I used all my power?"

System:

"That is correct, Host."

"Which is why I recommend Host reach Level 95 before I explain everything in full."

Rey:

"…Alright."

"If you say so."

"Now I want to rest. Tomorrow will be important."

Rey closed the window.

Lay down on the bed.

His body relaxed.

Comfort enveloped him.

Slowly—

Rey drifted into sleep.
