For the first time in months, nobody needed Sebastian Ravenscroft.
At least that was the official plan.
Whether the country agreed was another matter entirely.
The idea had been Chairman Elias's.
Actually, that wasn't true. It had been Vivian's. Chairman Elias had simply forced Sebastian to listen.
"You haven't had a full day off in six months."
Sebastian didn't even look up from the briefing documents.
"That's not accurate."
The old man folded his arms.
"Oh?"
"I had three hours off last Thursday."
Chairman Elias stared at him.
Sebastian finally looked up.
Then immediately regretted it.
The expression on the older man's face suggested patience had officially expired.
"You are becoming impossible."
"I've always been impossible."
"True." That earned a small smile.
Then Chairman Elias slid a folder across the desk.
Sebastian frowned.
"What is this?"
"A schedule." "I already have a schedule."
"Not this one." Sebastian opened it.
