As Samuel spent a good day travelling on the road, he came across a town, two guards stood firmly at the entrance in full metal gear, navigating himself around town finding merchants to sell his wares to, meeting with Tate the receptionist of the guild, after selling his wares "sir this was a one time thing if you want to continue to sell your wares you will have to become a member of the merchant guild or the adventure guild"
"Tate is it possible to sign up to both? i spend my days at the waves of Zylon on based on what I've been told some towns don't have both guilds just one and don't want to be an inconvenience in selling my wares" Samuel asked curiously
Tate said politely "of course i will send call for someone to take you to the adventure guild after we register you here"
it didn't take long for the registration finished and an escort took Sam to the adventure's guild, a commotion from an alleyway caught Sam and the escorts attention. with out thinking samuel ran over seeing someone getting bashed "what is going on" he asked
"we are educating this useless slave" a man sneered
Samuel looked at the person on the ground curled up in a ball clearly malnourished and weak "i will pay you 2 gold coins for that slave"
"you will be wasting you're money on this useless one"
sam peeked at their status and was shocked to see that they were a higher stats to those slave masters, understanding that they were enduring the suffering because of their weaker state, becoming more determined "i mean if you don't want gold then wouldn't you be missing out?"
in an attempt to use their own greed against them, they end up agreeing and leaving sam raised his hand revealing his palm saying "heal" he instantly healed the wounded injuries as they raised their head revealing they were a blonde elf "thank you but why?" she asked
"I couldn't stand by and watch someone get hurt" smiling kindly as he spoke
holding his hand out and asking "would you like to join me we are going to sign up as adventures and then going to the inn it looks like you are in need of food and a good place to sleep"
"Do you wish for me to join your party sir?" she asked timidly
"Yes, and don't worry about any misdeeds. i wont force you to do anything you are uncomfortable with and we will split everything fairly"
"yes, master let me be your shield"
Sam pulled out spare clothes from his inventory and blocked everyone's vision with a reflective barrier letting her change their clothes before heading to the guild, "sir how do you know how to do a reflective barrier?"
Sam spoke softly "I inherited it"
all three of them headed to the adventure's guild, meeting the receptionist Gregory. Sam was taken aback to see that the man infront of him was a beast-man.
Gregory saw the stunned look on Sam's face sighing "I'm Gregory, sorry for startling you. You haven't seen a beast-man before have you?"
"No I haven't, my apologises" Sam spoke somenly
"Me and my friend here wish to sign up to be adventures" Sam added trying to change the topic as fast as he could.
Gregory pulled out two registration forms saying "just fill in this and you both will start on rank F you don't need to fill out the attributes just what you are good at, once you hit C rank then we will have to test your attributes, this makes it that you can hone your abilities better before anything"
Having a moment to read over the paper they both filled it out and handed it back to Gregory letting him read over them "Sam and Lea welcome to the adventures guild your ID will be ready shortly, for your first guild quest I would recommend the F rank Dungeon"
Sam and Lea looked at each other nodding in agreement knowing it would be the best way to know each others strengths and weaknesses. Sam thought to himself "I already mastered basic swordsmanship while by the looks of it, so it does seem fit to see what else I can do"
Opening up his status screen and looking at what he had unlocked already "light magic" stood out to him entering that section "heal".
"Sam are you ok?" Lea asked curiously
"Yes, sorry just lost in thought" chuckling nervously.
"Lea we will set out for the dungeon in a week, so it gives us time to gather some info on this dungeon I don't want to run into surprises"
"Got it, I will gather the information for you" lea exclaimed excitedly.
"Gregory is there a place we could get some dinner? We haven't ate yet" Sam asked politely.
"Yes of course" pointing down the hall "the first door on the left is where you can get some food, also if you want some information I can give you something on the dungeon" Gregory reached under the counter grabbing a book and placed it on the counter.
"This is the book regarding the F-Rank dungeon, it's rare to find someone who wants to do the research before going aimlessly" Gregory chuckled
The escort watched as they walked away and smiled briefly before asking to speak with the guildmaster to inform him of the events that had occurred.
Lea and Sam sat in the corner of the dining area, letting Lea know she that she can order anything she would like. Closing is eyes to look through the status to try understand a little more.
"Voice mode, huh?" Using his inner voice "wonder what this does" pressing activate
"Hello Sam" a robotic males voice rang out
"Huhhh" getting shocked
"Are you suprised, I can change my voice" it said "I can change my voice to something else if that's what you prefer" changing to a woman's voice"
"Whattt, you can hold a conversation?" Sam exclaimed.
"I'm your system not a monster of course I can, also I sense that your friend has a slave mark on them would you wish for it to be gone?"
"Can you do it without her knowing? Also are you a sage or something, what should I call you?" Sam hurriedly asking
