Vivien felt like she was trapped in a burning room, and the only thing keeping her alive was the giant ice barge she was clinging to.
Dominic's skin felt so incredibly refreshing against her feverish warmth. Wanting more of that soothing coldness, she tilted her head up and unconsciously let out her tongue, licking the side of his neck.
It felt absolutely awesome, like a splash of cold water in the middle of a desert.
The moment her wet tongue touched his bare neck, Dominic felt a sudden jolt of pure shock shoot straight through his entire body. His breath caught in his throat, and his jaw clenched hard. The very last thread of his iron control snapped completely. He couldn't hold back anymore. His dark eyes grew frosty, filling with an intense hunger.
He looked down at her flushed face then her rosey lips. "Don't blame me when you're the one who provoked me first," he muttered, his voice deep and hoarse.
