Whispering in my dreams like a curse.
I opened my eyes with a sharp breath. My desk lamp was still on, papers scattered across the mahogany surface, the ink from my pen smudged by my own damn hand.
I never sleep during work.
So why...?
I checked the time. Late.
I reached for my phone.
"Where Viella?" I asked the moment my men picked up.
they stuttered.
"She didn't return home, sir."
My grip tightened around the phone.
"Didn't I tell you to keep an eye on her?"
"Y-Yes, sir, but-"
"I want her location. Now. At any cost."
I ended the call before their excuses could make my headache worse.
My heart was pounding.
Why?
Why the hell am I this agitated?
