Chapter 9 - Criminal Trash Bags

Inside the music classroom, three two-sided 'criminal trash bags' stared at one another.

"Alright, put on the shoes too."

Lu Yang tossed four more trash bags at the other two.

"What are the trash bags for if we're wearing shoes?" Yuan Huihong took one, completely baffled.

"You're not actually planning to throw those shoes away after today, are you?" Lu Yang glanced sideways at the branded sneakers under Yuan Huihong's feet.

"Not necessarily… I'll probably still wear them." Yuan Huihong quickly wrapped the trash bags around his shoes.

Looking at the two of them now fully armed, Lu Yang nodded in satisfaction.

"Later on it'll be inconvenient to use real names, so we need code names. I'll be Naruto. Sasuke and Sakura, pick for yourselves."

"I'll be Sasuke!" Yuan Huihong blurted out instantly.

"Then I'll be Sakura, I guess. But why these names?" Jiang Hai scratched the top of his trash-bag hood.

"These names are awesome! The new Three Legendary Ninjas—total style. This mission is guaranteed to succeed!" Before Lu Yang could answer, Yuan Huihong jumped in enthusiastically.

"I'm just worried that the three of us don't have a Kakashi, and we'll get wiped out the moment we run into Momochi Zabuza." Jiang Hai sighed.

"Pah, pah, pah! Bad luck, bad luck! You're killing morale! People like you would've been dragged out and beheaded as a sacrifice to the banner back in the day!" Yuan Huihong spat a few times in disgust.

"Alright. Grab your weapons. We're ready to move." Lu Yang cut them off again.

"Weapons?" Jiang Hai and Yuan Huihong turned their heads toward Lu Yang at the same time. Inside the pitch-black trash bags, four eyes gleamed brightly.

...

More than half an hour had passed since school ended. At this point, there was no one left on campus.

Clanking sounds echoed down the corridor, overpowering the footsteps of leather shoes striking the marble floor.

To students of Congao High School, this sound was terrifyingly familiar. Most of the time, if they heard it, they'd immediately detour.

The sound came from a string of keys clashing together. And the one wearing those keys was Congao High's disciplinary head teacher — Yan Gao.

With a shiny bald 'Mediterranean' hairstyle and a bulging belly, Yan Gao strode down the corridor. Every time he passed a window, he'd turn his head to peer into the classroom, his gaze like a hawk scanning for chicks.

Seeing empty classrooms, a trace of disappointment would flash through his eyes.

Normally, couples liked to secretly hide in classrooms at this hour. Once caught by him, it was straight to punishment, recording wrongdoings and calling parents—the full three-hit combo.

After that came whether the parents were 'reasonable,' and whether the students showed a good attitude in admitting fault.

For an old head teacher like him, students' attitudes didn't even matter. A quick feel of the envelope's thickness told him everything.

Some people said the jangling keys on his belt exposed his position, making it harder to catch rule-breaking students.

Yan Gao snorted at that. He felt those people didn't understand where the real fun was.

He was the hawk. The students were chicks.

Even if the chicks knew a hawk was overhead, they still couldn't escape the old eagle's hunt.

Yan Gao loved letting his prey slowly realize he was approaching.

After patrolling the entire floor without spotting a single person, Yan Gao gave up hunting and headed upstairs, lifting his heavy belly.

The moment he reached the next floor, he froze.

His eyes widened as if he'd seen a ghost.

Standing before him was someone wearing Congao High's uniform pants, with a trash bag pulled over his head, holes cut out for two eyes and a mouth—just like a criminal in the movies.

"Well, well. Still got people delivering themselves right to my door these days."

Yan Gao didn't get angry—he laughed instead.

In this school, he had never seen anyone dare act like this in front of him.

Very good. Very good!

Straight to the office—full punishment package!

"Hahaha, grab him!" Blocking Yan Gao's path was Lu Yang, deliberately pinching his voice into a shrill, effeminate tone.

"Grab me?" Yan Gao burst into laughter, completely unaware of how serious the situation was.

At Lu Yang's command, two more people appeared from the stairwell. The three of them tightly surrounded Yan Gao.

"What are you trying to do?! Aren't you afraid I'll suspend all of you?!" Yan Gao shouted sternly as he turned around.

"Yan the Old Demon, you've finally got your day!" Jiang Hai rushed forward and grabbed Yan Gao's right arm.

"Today we act on behalf of heaven—yah yah yah yah~" Yuan Huihong grabbed his left arm.

Yan Gao hadn't been a head teacher for nothing. Even though the three wore black trash bags over their heads, as long as they had school uniforms on, he wasn't afraid. He immediately struggled with all his strength.

But how could a fat middle-aged man overpower two young guys?

After a brief struggle, Yan Gao failed to break free. Instead, he lost his balance and sprawled on the ground like a toad.

At that moment—

Lu Yang rushed forward and yanked hard on Yan Gao's belt.

The keychain was hanging right from it.

Furious and panicked, Yan Gao suddenly felt his waist loosen. His sense of security instantly hit red alert. He jerked his head around—

And that single glance terrified him out of his wits.

A uniformed 'criminal' with a trash-bag hood had one foot planted on his butt, pulling on his belt. The torn hole in the trash bag revealed a mouth that looked evil no matter how you saw it.

It felt like the FBI were about to appear any second.

"Nooooo—!!!" Yan Gao howled toward the heavens, squeezed his eyes shut, and didn't dare look anymore.

But after a moment, he realized no intense pain had come from his backside.

When he opened his eyes and scrambled up, he found the three trash-bag criminals had already fled.

Seeing their retreating figures, Yan Gao's fear vanished instantly, replaced by burning rage.

There was no way he could let them escape!

Offend the head teacher and think you can run?!

"Stop right there! Stop!" Pulling up his pants, Yan Gao charged after them, his expression so furious it looked like he wanted to devour the three alive.

"Holy crap, Sasuke, look! Old Demon Yan can actually run pretty fast!" Jiang Hai glanced back, shocked by Yan Gao's speed.

"Fast? Take this!" Yuan Huihong turned and hurled a hidden weapon.

Chalk sticks!

A rain of chalks rushed toward Yan Gao's shiny Mediterranean scalp, giving him a free nostalgia trip back to his student days.

"Nice throw! Damn—Naruto, where did you even get so much chalk?!" Jiang Hai marveled at Yuan Huihong's throwing skills—and even more at how Lu Yang had pulled over a hundred chalk sticks from a bag earlier in the music room.

"It's a long story. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, I was fighting Uchiha Madara when suddenly a piece of chalk flew at my head…" Lu Yang rambled nonsense while his hands worked quickly, finding the key labeled 'Rooftop' by its stamped ink mark.

"Alright—time to wrap this up!"

Lu Yang led Jiang Hai and Yuan Huihong weaving through corridors and stairwells. Along the way, countless chalk sticks flew back at Old Demon Yan.

Though rage gave Yan Gao a brief burst of strength, his lack of exercise quickly caught up to him.

By the time he reached the next stairwell, the three were gone.

"Damn it… they actually got away!"

Yan Gao gasped for breath, angrily pulling up his pants.

He felt this was the most humiliating moment of his life.

While panting, he suddenly noticed a belt lying on the ground.

It was his belt—with the keychain still attached.

Picking it up and checking the keys, he found none were missing. Letting out a sigh of relief, he was about to put the belt back on—

When he noticed words written on it in chalk.

"This belt of yours is fake."

Yan Gao's hand holding the belt began to tremble.

The most humiliating moment of his life… had just been updated again.
