"What do we do?" Lucian asked.
"Push power through the bonds," Elena explained. "Constantly. Don't stop even if it exhausts you. Lilith will need every ounce of strength you can give her."
The three Alphas took their positions around the circle.
North: Nicholas. South: Sebastian. East: Lucian.
Victoria stood at the west point, balancing the formation.
Elena would be inside the circles with Lilith, guiding her through the process.
"Where is she?" Nicholas asked.
"Getting ready," Elena said. "I asked her to meditate for an hour before we begin. Center herself. Prepare mentally for what's coming."
As if summoned by the mention of her name, the door opened and Lilith entered.
She was wearing simple white robes Elena had provided. Her hair was loose and brushed until it shone. Her feet were bare. She looked young and fragile and absolutely terrified.
But she walked into the room with her head high and her shoulders back.
Brave despite the fear.
"I'm ready," Lilith said.
