Felt the three threads in her chest....warm and present and closer than they had ever been.

She could feel soon.
She went to her room and sat on the bed and pressed her fingers to her mark and thought about her mother lying in room fourteen of St Mercy's hospital and her father who had spent his whole life keeping secrets to protect her and the woman with pale eyes who had hugged her mother like she was afraid to let go.
She thought about Nicholas saying.....when I have the full picture I will tell you everything.
She thought about the bond.
About what it felt like now compared to the first night Kael had put his mark on her throat.
Different.
Everything was different.
She lay back on the bed and looked at the ceiling and let herself feel all of it.
The fear.
The warmth.
