Then air.
Sudden, violent, beautiful air.
I hit the floor hard, my knees cracking against stone, my hands barely catching me before my face did. I choked, gasping, sucking in desperate lungfuls of air that burned like fire going down.
I couldn't see properly. Couldn't hear properly. Because everything was spinning, tilting, my body in full panic mode as it tried to remember how to function.
Slowly, agonizingly, the black spots retreated.
I looked up.
And all i saw was chaos.
Sebastian had Nicholas against the wall.
Not a gentle restraint., But in a full, physical confrontation, Sebastian's forearm pressed against his brother's chest, his expression thunderous, his body vibrating with barely controlled fury.
Nicholas looked back at him with those cold silver eyes and didn't even have the decency to look surprised.
"You would fight your own brother over a wolfless omega?" Nicholas said, his voice still terrifyingly quiet. "Seriously, Sebastian?"
