Chapter 1 - sometimes ghost aren't the scariest

A mistake. That's what Jane is. Her parents never planned her—she was only an unplanned pregnancy. Her mother was fourteen. Yes, fourteen. And her father was unknown.

After her mother gave birth, she left Jane in front of an orphanage. The baby was wrapped in a thin blanket and placed inside a fruit basket, abandoned before anyone could see her face.

Jane grew up in the orphanage, but unlike the other children, she wasn't particularly pretty or smart enough to catch the adopters' eyes. While others were chosen and left with new families, she stayed behind, watching the doors open and close, year after year.

"I'm almost fifteen tomorrow… yet no one is still adopting me." Jane felt sad, but she was already used to this feeling. It had been with her for as long as she could remember.

"Let's just pray to Lord Jesus… Sister Eva said that if I keep praying to God, He'll pity me." The little girl clasped her hands and prayed earnestly before lying down, the thin blanket pulled up to her chest as she stared at the dark ceiling.

When she woke up the next morning, the staff of the orphanage stood by her bed, surprising her with a small cake in their hands, smiling warmly as they began to sing.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you~ Happy birthday, happy birthday! Happy birthday, Jane~"

Their voices filled the room, and for the first time in a long while, Jane felt a little less alone.

Genuine smiles filled their faces as they celebrated the child's birthday. Jane wasn't pretty or smart, but she was a likable child. Raised in a church orphanage, she was kindhearted and full of hope, always spreading happiness to those around her—just like a little sunshine.

Jane smiled brightly as she thanked the sisters who surprised her.

"Thank you so much, sisters…" she said, her voice trembling, tears building in her eyes.

Sister Eva gently pulled her into a hug.

"We have a birthday surprise for you~ we found you a FAMILY!!!!" she said warmly, holding Jane close as the little girl froze in shock, her heart pounding with hope.

"F-Family? I… I finally have a family?"

The look of disbelief was clear on her face as silent tears finally began to flow down her cheeks. Her hands trembled as she clutched her dress, her heart pounding in her chest.

"See? What did I tell you? Just pray to God and He'll definitely make your wishes come true~" Sister Eva said warmly.

"Yes, Sister!" Jane nodded happily, her smile breaking through her tears.

For a child who had been abandoned by her family, this was the happiest moment of her life.

"I'm so excited… I finally have a family… I'll write often to Sister Eva, Marie, and Clara." she thought as she began to pack her few belongings, carefully folding each piece as if afraid this beautiful moment might disappear.

Jane didn't have much—just a couple of clothes and a few old toys. It wasn't that she wasn't loved by the church, but the orphanage itself wasn't well-off. This was the limit of their finances. Still, Jane was never ungrateful. She appreciated every little thing she had, no matter how small.

A car soon pulled up in front of the orphanage, and a family of three stepped out with warm smiles as they came to pick her up.

There was a mother in her thirties, a father in his forties, and an older brother in his twenties.

After signing the adoption papers, Jane finally had a family.

"I'm Elisa. You can call me Mom from now on, okay? We are happy to have you in our family!" the wife said as she gently hugged Jane.

Jane felt her heart swell with happiness. Her new family seemed kind, and their warmth made her feel safe.

"Yes, Mom~" she replied, a wide smile spreading across her face.

The husband then introduced himself.

"I'm Chris. You can call me Dad." He smiled and softly patted Jane's head.

"Yes, Dad!~"

"And I'm Mark." the boy standing nearby said. "I'm your big brother now."

He didn't sound angry—this was simply how he spoke. Mark was quiet and reserved, the type who showed his feelings through small actions rather than words.

"Okay, big brother!" she smiled. This was truly the happiest moment of her life.

They entered the car and drove to the mall first. There, they bought Jane nice clothes and new toys before finally heading home.

The house was normal—not too big and not too small. It was a simple home, perfect for a family.

Elisa guided Jane to her room.

"This will be your room, my cute daughter. Make yourself at home, okay? Call us if you need anything, kay?~"

Jane nodded as she stepped inside. The bed looked big and soft, a large cabinet stood against the wall for her clothes, and there was a table with a computer set up just for her. It was more than enough for her, and her heart felt full.

After she tidied the room and unpacked her belongings, Jane knelt beside her bed and prayed.

"Thank you, Papa Jesus, for this blessing. I promise to behave myself. Thank you again."

She also made a friend in their neighborhood named Ana, who often visited and played with her after lessons.

Days, months, and years passed. Jane was now seventeen. Because her brother was homeschooled, Jane was also homeschooled, but she wasn't sad about it. She was happy with everything. Her new family was loving, and her life felt peaceful. Everything was out of the ordinary—calm, simple, and safe.

Now, her body is starting to mature. She's gifted with big and plumpy breasts and a plump ass. A seductive body that will make you look at her twice if you see her on the road.

"Guys… Mom and Dad will go on vacation, okay? Be good in the house. Jane, listen to your big brother, kay?" Elisa said, hugging both of them before getting into the car with her husband, Chris.

It was a one-week vacation for their parents. Nothing out of the ordinary happened at first. Jane cooked their meals, washed the dishes, and went to bed like usual, the house quiet and peaceful at night.

That was until midnight.

Her bedroom door creaked.

"Creeeak—"

Mark slowly stepped inside.

"Creakkk—" as Mark came in.

Jane is a heavy sleeper so she didn't notice. Mark sat on her bed his hands starting to roam her thighs.

At that point, Jane was already startled awake. "Ah... B-Big brother?"

But this big brother's eyes were darkened with lust. "I've been watching you, Jane... Now that mom and dad are not here..." A creepy smile on his face.

The guy began undressing her despite Jane begging not to.

"No, big brother... Please...."

But the guy didn't stop and made his way with her. After he's done he just threatens her.

"If you ever tell mom and dad...." He snickered. "Then be alone your entire life again... Who will even take an ugly child like you as a family?" Before he left.

The girl whose body is in unbearable pain, cried. The cry wasn't pointed at anything. It was mixed feelings. Betrayal, Hatred, Fear, and Disgust. Fear of being abandoned again was enough for Mark's threat to work on her.

For a whole week, Mark used her like a toy. Bruised starting to form on her breasts and butt from how rough Mark handled her.

All the time, all she felt was disgust as silent tears fell on her eyes every time. She can't sleep, eat or focus anymore. This entire week, she was just buried in her room.

Her only friend Ana visited but Mark said that Jane was sick and sleeping so Ana could just wish her well through Jane's big Brother before leaving.

Every night, for a whole week until their parents arrived. Jane saw hell. She prayed every night and day but nothing changed. Mark's assault becoming more and more rougher and even after their parents arrived, He didn't stop. Every night, he would visit Jane on her room and nake his way on her.

That becomes Jane's new routine in this household.
