Chapter 4 - The mysterious trinity makes deals with the devil

...In the midst of a dead black forest where there was no trace of life, the soil was black, the sky was black, and the trees were black. There stood three mysterious men over a triangle drawn with fresh blood on the ground. Each of them stood on one corner of the triangle, and at its center lay the corpse of a small girl who appeared to be three years old, but her body was headless.

A sound could be heard outside the triangle, as if a beast were devouring something. There was a creature three meters tall, covered in dense black hair. Its head resembled that of a bat, its legs were like those of a goat, and its hands resembled human hands but contained large claws. An extremely unbearable stench emanated from it. Everything was black within black, except for its eyes, which were intensely red. It was devouring the child's brain with great appetite and mysterious delight.

One of the mysterious men spoke:"Gorj, the flying demon, perform the divination I ordered you to carry out, and you will receive the rest of this delicious meal."

The demon replied:"Give me the heart of this human, and I will grant you the greatest demonic divination in the entire history of the Gate of the Gods."

The mysterious man spoke harshly:"Gorj, do you take me for a fool? We are not the type to be deceived. I told you, the rest of the corpse comes after you perform the divination. If the results do not please me, you will get nothing. If they do please me, I will bring you a second girl to eat."

– "Fine, fine. You humans are very intelligent, but I want the other meal to be an adult woman."– "No. Only children. You must provide a greater service to obtain a greater meal."

Humans were intelligent and vile. Demons like Gorj never stood a chance against a seasoned black sorcerer like this one. Negotiations always ended in his loss and his falling into a trap, especially since he was a creature of the fire element and fed only on earthly beings such as humans. Human brains and the complex human heart were his favorite meals.

"So, Abraham, you place the gemstone in your hand and focus your awareness on it, and you see its entire history from the moment it was created until this very moment?"Abdullah said.

– "Yes, Abdullah. That is divination."– "Then what is special about its history?"– "This gemstone belonged to a construction worker who contributed to the building of the Great Tower of Babylon. He worked diligently and was responsible for the one thousand three hundred and ninetieth floor. The king noticed his work and decided to reward him with a precious gemstone, a palace, and an apple farm. The latter two were located on the same floor. However, his gemstone fell from him during work and was found by Mater's grandfather while he was herding sheep near the tower. It was then passed down until it reached Mater, who regarded it as his only treasure and wealth in a mad manner."– "Do you mean that a failure can perform magic unintentionally?"– "Of course. We are all humans with developed minds. Although sorcerers develop their minds to a greater degree, ordinary humans can perform magic unintentionally, and it may even reach the point of creating a tulpa without their awareness."– "Tulpa… I have heard a lot about it."

From afar, a group of children could be seen near Mater's house, holding sticks and laughing. They were striking something—it was Mater, unconscious.

They had beaten him severely until he awoke in terror. He turned around and found a group of frightened children who panicked because he had awakened. He clenched his fist and struck one of the children in the stomach as a threatening blow. They all fled quickly in the exaggerated manner of children.

Mater turned around and the color of his face changed. His skin turned yellow, his hands trembled, and his voice sounded as though he were about to cry in rage:"My food, my tools, my bedding, my gemstone—everything, they stole everything."

Mater began to cry and collapsed to the ground, unable to think. His entire body trembled. The features of his face did not show sorrow or anger as much as they showed fear—fear of the unknown that had entered his home, fear of cold nights without bedding, fear of starving to death, and most importantly, the false hope for life had disappeared.

He remained in this state until darkness fell.

He began to regain his calm. He had to sleep on the ground, hungry, cold, mentally shattered and destroyed. He believed that this was the worst night of his life.
