On the reef, flames swept across the sky, forming a massive, swirling vortex. Inside the inferno, several giant demonic faces emerged, baring fangs and brandishing claws like malevolent spirits rising from the depths of hell.
"A new move? The power seems decent," Yamato remarked. She watched the demonic faces swim through the air like pythons, her pink haori fluttering in the heat. Despite being trapped in the heart of a high-temperature fire vortex, her clothes remained completely undamaged.
With a shrill screech, the demonic faces dove simultaneously toward her.
"You might not believe it, but fire is the thing I fear least. Even magma can't hurt me," Yamato said with a slight smile.
As she spoke, her body began to shift and grow. In an instant, a giant pink dragon appeared in the sky. Its golden fur shimmered under the sun, and pure white flame clouds swirled around its massive frame, making it look incredibly majestic and divine. It was as if a legendary creature from ancient myths had descended upon the sea.
The fiery demonic faces slammed into Yamato one after another, causing massive explosions that shook the entire reef.
"How is it? Did Captain Ace win?" The members of the Whitebeard Pirates' Second Division craned their necks, desperate to see through the smoke.
As the blazing flames began to dissipate, Ace's figure emerged on the ground, but he wasn't cheering. He looked up, staring in absolute shock at the massive silhouette in mid-air. When the air finally cleared, the pink dragon was fully revealed to everyone.
"Ah... is that a dragon?" The Whitebeard pirates gaped at the behemoth, completely speechless.
"It's the Young Master! The Young Master is mighty!" the members of the Beasts Pirates cheered loudly from their ship.
Blackbeard stood among his crew, his face full of shock. How is this possible? Shouldn't this ability belong only to Emperor Kaido? Could it be a different type? But this form is nearly identical to his.
He had seen Kaido's Azure Dragon form before, so he knew exactly how similar this pink dragon was. However, Teach noticed a few key differences: the vibrant color and the distinct white flame clouds swirling around its body.
There can't be two identical Devil Fruits in the world. Could it be... an artificial Devil Fruit? Blackbeard pondered. News of artificial Devil Fruit trades had been circulating in the Underworld for a while, and the Beasts Pirates were the primary source. But can an artificial fruit really reach this level? I heard they were failures. How strange.
"Is this your ability? A Mythical Zoan, the same category as Marco's," Ace said, looking at the dragon with amazement. In terms of pure scale, Yamato's transformation was even more imposing than the Phoenix; her body was easily three hundred meters long.
"That's right. I'm a Mythical Zoan user too. The Whitebeard Pirates have one, don't they? But I'm different from him; I'm a pure combat type," Yamato's voice rang out, sounding a bit lazy.
She looked remarkably comfortable, resting her dragon claws across each other as she lay atop the soft pink flame clouds. Her golden eyes sparkled, and even from the ground, her long eyelashes were visible.
"Can you even hurt me, Fire Fist Ace? At your current stage, if you want to break my defense, you'd need to master Ryuo. You seem to be far from that level," Yamato said indifferently, peering down at him.
"You won't know unless you try! Firefly: Fiery Doll!" Ace roared. He wasn't one to hesitate. Green light emitted from his hands, and dozens of small, glowing fireballs flew out like fireflies, swarming toward Yamato.
A staggering number of the green orbs floated around Yamato and stuck to her scales. She remained indifferent, watching the lights flicker against her pink hide. When all the fireflies were attached, Ace clenched his fists. "Burst!"
The fireballs exploded simultaneously. Green flames submerged Yamato's figure, lighting up the sky with an eerie glow. However, when the light faded, Yamato was still lying there lazily. Even the pink flame clouds that had been blown apart by the blast quickly reformed around her.
"Are you serious? No damage at all?!" the Whitebeard pirates cried out.
Even for a Mythical Zoan, this was absurd. Not a single hair was singed. Such defense was simply terrifying; even Marco couldn't shrug off an attack like that without needing to regenerate.
"I haven't even used Haki yet," Yamato said. She rested her chin on one dragon claw, her posture elegant and composed. As she spoke, her other claw actually began to file its own nails.
"So cool, Young Master!" her subordinates shouted.
Even Haruko felt something was different. Is it my imagination, or does the Young Master seem a bit feminine now? She quickly shook her head to clear the thought. She would rather believe the sun would rise from the west than believe her "Young Master" was acting girly; she was likely just showing how bored she was with the fight.
"Such hard scales... even my flames have no effect," Ace muttered. It was the first time his abilities had hit a target and done absolutely nothing. Yamato had fended off his strongest attacks with just her physical body.
"Zehahaha! Of course! Why else do you think Kaido is called the 'Strongest Creature'?" Blackbeard said, his gaze sharpening. "It's because that ability is too powerful. Attacks that aren't strong enough can't even scratch those scales."
In Teach's view, normal Zoan abilities were the weakest category with low ceilings, but Mythical Zoan types were the exception. They were rarer than Logia types and granted unique, powerful abilities—like Marco's Phoenix flames that could heal any wound as long as his stamina held out.
Ace stood his ground, realizing the bounty of 1,869,000,000 Berry on the girl above him wasn't just for show.
