The first test ended smoothly. Xiao Li purposely limited his output but still ranked near the top.
Then someone approached him.
A tall boy with silver hair and sharp eyes.
"Xiao Li."
His voice was confident, almost arrogant.
"My name is Han Kaito. Rank candidate — C-tier potential."
The surrounding candidates froze. Han Kaito was famous for clearing three Gates before turning eighteen.
"I've been waiting to meet you," Kaito said.
"Why?" Xiao Li asked calmly.
Kaito smiled slightly.
"Because I want to know if the Skull Weaver rumor was luck… or skill."
The system flickered.
[Rival Detected]
The air between them grew heavy.
"Good," Xiao Li said quietly.
"I prefer proof over rumors too."
Kaito grinned.
"Then let's see who survives the trials better."
