Chapter 7 - CHAPTER SEVEN: TIT@N

Dylan opened his eyes and found himself standing on a grassy plain. He smiled as he said," This is throwback man. How long has it been since I saw this plane."

Dylan walked around for a bit before summoning his stat screen. Even his stat screen was a throwback to him. Everything was starter level.

HP: 100,000 Attack Power: 30,000

Speed: Tech-no [error ] MP: 50,000

Skills: Unlimited stamina

The error tag on his speed was new though. He knew exactly what to do in this stage but knew time had to pass before the conditions were just right for it. He got down on his knees and started doing pushups. He decided to build up on his Attack power since a pushup was 100 AP. He was fully utilizing his unlimited stamina.

At sunset, he had reached 35,000 which was at least a good starting point. His shadow was long and so he headed towards the nearby forest and had a gentle stroll. That was when the stat screen came on." Conditions have been met. Quest one, talk to the dryads and survive their request," said the system screen.

Dylan was visibly annoyed because this was a quest he despised." I forgot it was dad who designed this quest, shit," said Dylan.

He walked towards a tree and used telekinesis to move his arm bandages to wrap around a tree. To the average person, it looked like he was wrapping up a tree but what was actually happening was he was strangling the spirit of the tree. A green spirit came out of the tree and it was being choked. Other spirits cake out of multiple trees behind Dylan but he raised his hand at them and said," Look, if you want to ask someone for help, you walk up and ask them. Watching someone for hours is unhealthy."

Dylan retracted his bandages and watched the rest of the dryads. The one he was just strangling tried to grab him and shove him into her tree, killing him. Only problem with that plan was that the passive skill for the character Tit@n was Spirit Immunity. Any form of spirit had no effect on him which was really useful.

Dylan sighed and said," My bandages have an attribute called Null. It negates anything I choose so the more you try, the more I have a full reason to kill you all."

The retracted in fear. Then an elderly dryad walked, or rather floated, over and stood before Dylan, walking stick in hand. Dylan took a knee and bowed his head to the elder." So you do know how to be kind?" she said.

" I believe elders deserve respect for their wisdom and experience," Dylan said as if rehearsing a used speech.

" Hahaha, you are right. Since you appear to be a traveller, we would like to ask you to meet our goddess. Are you willing to agree?" she asked.

" I would be honored to meet your exalted one," Dylan said.

The elder smiled and began walking down the path. Dylan stood and walked behind her. The other dryads who popped up along the way looked at Dylan with either genuine curiosity or anger. He ignored it and put his hands to the ba k of his head. This was a nature trail so he decided to enjoy the first sight of nature since his birth. The world got too technolized so the sight of nature felt nice.

By the time the sun went down, they arrived at the centre of the forest. But to those who knew the lore of the game, this was the centre of the world. A giant tree stood there with waterfalls beginning from it's branches. Flying creatures flew in the sky past a giant rainbow illuminated by the moonlight. Small light orbs floated on the tree like fruits. The tree reached past the clouds and seemed to touch the stars. The elder stopped not that far from the edge of the forest and told Dylan to walk on by himself. She waved him off as he just walked on. A large river linked all the waterfalls together before flowing downstream. Dylan said," How is this still made of code?"

He jumped over the river and approached the foot of the tree. Then a booming yet gentle voice came from the sky." Stop where you stand mortal." the voice said.

" Finally," said Dylan with a smirk.

A giant snake came down the tree. It was Jormugander, the snake that wraps around the whole world in Norse mythology. It looked at Dylan with piercing eyes. Then said mentally to Dylan," Young mortal, you appear to have a destiny traversing the universe. I want to impart onto you a directive."

" How may I be of service to you...uh," Dylan said.

" Oracle, just refer to me as the Oracle, young Tit@n," said the snake.

" Great Oracle, I will do as you may request as long as it's within my capabilities," Dylan said taking a bow.

" Nice to hear. Ria, come here," said the Oracle.

A girl jumped out of the river and shook of the water from her hair. She was like a dog. Then she skipped over to Dylan and shook his arm a bit too energetically. He was being rattled until the Oracle wrangled her daughter. Then the oracle made it's request." I want you to traverse the universe with my daughter showing her the truth of the universe. Also keep her safe, it appears the god of our realm has clearly gone crazy lately," said the Oracle and Dylan agreed to it no questions asked.

The two were about to introduce each other to the other when the sky went crimson red. The code holding the sky started to glitch out and both the Oracle and Ria were on high alert. The oracle lowered her head to the ground and opened her mouth telling Dylan to walk in. He was clearly out of sorts but the Oracle was designed to help all beginners. He crawled in and hid behind a fang. The oracle lowered it's mouth and raised it's head with Ria on its head. Dylan peeked past the fang and watched as an unknown avatar appeared in the sky. The sky was still glitching as a scanning mechanism showered the planet.

Then it glitched out in the sky then glitched in in front of the Oracle. It asked in a tech voice," Where is the player?"

" I am yet to meet them, maybe they haven't arrived yet," said the Oracle.

The avatar growled before glitching out again. This time the sky went back to normal. The oracle let Dylan out and he asked who that avatar was. The oracle said," It was a soldier under the service of the ruler of the entire universe. You do not want to come across their trail. Be careful."

I took in the info and now started to suspect the world. Then a large shadow covered the world. Dylan looked up to see a large spaceship and smiled. Things were flowing correctly now and Ria hopped onto his back and started to ask a number of questions that were easily overshadowed by Dylan receiving a call. He checked it and it was from Samantha. He had a message saying," It is a trap. You are being hunted."

Dylan was on instant alert.
