Chapter 63 - Chapter 61: The Subjugation of Greed

Regulus couldn't see exactly what was happening in the distance, but he could roughly guess.

Echidna was currently being "educated" by her group of friends.

Even though this Castle of Dreams was Echidna's home ground—granting her a significant territorial advantage—that advantage definitely couldn't bridge the sheer gap in numbers and raw power.

It was one against six. Even with Sekhmet, the Witch of Sloth, slacking off beside him, and Carmilla, the Witch of Lust, whose combat power was practically negligible, Echidna still had to face four others. And that included the most terrifying existence of them all: Satella, the Witch of Envy.

The distant explosions, earth-shattering tremors, and strange, indescribable sounds only lasted for a few chaotic moments before abruptly ceasing.

The outcome was completely anticipated. Echidna, the Witch of Greed, had been successfully subdued by her peers.

At the same time, Sekhmet finally released her tight embrace.

Lifting his head, Regulus successfully escaped the suffocating softness of her chest. As he sat up, he noticed the remaining Witch, Carmilla, standing a few paces away.

Noticing Regulus looking at her, Carmilla squeaked, blushing furiously, and immediately lowered her head to hide behind her scarf.

She had seen everything. When the others rushed off to battle, Sekhmet had essentially forced Regulus into her chest. But what made Carmilla even more painfully shy was his current physical state. When Sekhmet had snatched him from Echidna's bed earlier, his clothes hadn't been tidied at all. His trousers were still completely undone.

'If I hadn't chosen to stay here,' Carmilla thought in a panic, 'Sekhmet definitely would have replaced Echidna and become the first to claim him!'

While Carmilla was drowning in shyness, Regulus was feeling incredibly frustrated.

The first time he tried, he was stopped by Satella's warning. The second time, he was interrupted by the physical invasion of six Witches. And this time, Sekhmet had only given him a fleeting "benefit" of a soft landing before the action stopped entirely.

As the saying goes, 'third time's the charm.' He absolutely couldn't tolerate being left hanging a third time.

"Sekhmet," Regulus called out.

"What is it...?"

Responding to Regulus's voice, Sekhmet, who still had a faint, rare blush on her pale cheeks, looked up at the man looming over her.

"Give me a hand," Regulus requested.

Sekhmet obediently raised her slender, physical hand.

"I wasn't talking about that one," Regulus corrected with a smirk. "I meant your Authority."

She didn't ask why he wanted the invisible force born from her Authority of Sloth. She simply complied, manifesting an Unseen Hand and gently placing it against his cheek so he could perceive its existence.

The next moment, Regulus sat up fully and pulled her up into a seated position beside him.

He took the voluminous folds of her black dress and draped the fabric securely over his lap, hiding his lower half from view. Under the cover of the dress, he grabbed her invisible, spectral hand and guided it downward.

Sekhmet's purple eyes widened slightly as her Unseen Hand wrapped firmly around his hardened length.

Carmilla, watching from the sidelines, was completely stunned. Her face practically steamed.

"Carmilla," Regulus said smoothly, his breathing hitching slightly as Sekhmet's invisible fingers began to stroke him. "You can't tell anyone else about this."

"Eh! Mmm..." Startled, Carmilla nodded frantically and lowered her head even deeper into her scarf, completely mortified but unable to tear her presence away.

Regulus chuckled softly. He looked at Sekhmet, who was sitting beside him, dutifully maintaining the invisible rhythm. For this incredibly powerful yet overwhelmingly lazy Witch, her destiny had certainly been rewritten today.

However, their secret moment was cut short. Regulus turned his head toward the horizon, spotting the silhouettes of the other five Witches returning.

Echidna had indeed been subdued.

But her appearance...

Her elegant black dress was tattered and barely hanging onto her frame. A collar made of pulsing black mist was wrapped tightly around her neck, attached to a leash of shadows held firmly in Satella's hand.

'If she had a pair of dog ears and a tail while lying on the ground like that...' Regulus mused internally. 'Just thinking about it is exciting.'

Echidna immediately noticed Regulus's fervent gaze.

She looked up at him, and a highly exaggerated, pitiful expression appeared on her bruised face. She was desperately seeking his sympathy, or perhaps hoping he would comfort her.

"Uuuu~ You guys... you were too rough," she whined, rubbing a bump on her head.

"Rough?!" Minerva, the Witch of Wrath, exploded, shaking her fists. "What happened just now still makes me furious! No! Just thinking about it now makes the anger in my heart burn even hotter!"

Bonk!

Minerva slammed her fist onto the top of Echidna's head.

"Ah, ah, ah! It hurts!" Echidna shrieked. "Don't hammer my head anymore! If you keep hammering it, I'll become as stupid as you!"

"Ha!!? Who are you calling stupid?!" Minerva yelled, raising her fist again.

"Waaah! It hurts!!!"

She let out another loud cry of pain. Just hearing it made one feel the agony.

"Typhon wants to hit the greedy lady too!" the green-haired loli cheered, running forward with her hands raised.

"No, no, no... Typhon, please spare me!" Echidna panicked, scrambling backward on her knees. "If you hit me, I'll shatter! I'll literally crack open!"

Crunch. Munch.

The sound of wet chewing suddenly echoed across the grass, causing the advancing Witches to stop in unison. They all turned their heads to look behind them.

What they saw was Daphne, the Witch of Gluttony, holding a long, pristine lock of Echidna's white hair. She had already stuffed the ends into her mouth and was happily chewing on it.

A moment of dead silence swept over the plains.

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!"

An incredulous, disbelieving, and entirely unacceptable scream tore from Echidna's throat.

"My hair! My hair! Stop it right now! No! Spit it out!" she shrieked in absolute panic, directly tackling Daphne's coffin.

She forcibly snatched the lock back. But when she inspected her precious hair, not only was it covered in a thick layer of Daphne's drool, but the strands had been bitten off in a very jagged, irregular shape.

"Mmm~ Echidna's hair tastes quite good," Daphne mumbled happily, licking her lips.

"Tastes quite good?! Daphne, you monster!" Echidna wailed, holding the ruined strands. "Hair is a woman's life! What you did is too much!"

"Too much?" Daphne tilted her head. "You made me unhappy by trying to steal the food-bringer, so I ate your hair. That's very fair."

"You...!"

Echidna glared angrily at Daphne, then turned her teary eyes to look at Minerva for healing.

"Don't look at me like that," Minerva scoffed, crossing her arms. "Even my Authority of Wrath can't restore your hair to its original state after Daphne digests it."

Echidna looked completely devastated.

The reason for her incredibly strong reaction was actually due to a secret factor. Regulus had once mentioned offhandedly that while short hair was cute, long hair made a woman look much more feminine. Although he had never explicitly demanded it, Echidna had interpreted that to mean he preferred girls with long, flowing hair.

"I'll help you trim it properly later," a gentle voice offered.

Echidna looked up. It was Satella. She was the one who had hit her the hardest just now, and the tattered state of her clothes was entirely thanks to the Witch of Envy.

"No need," Echidna huffed, clutching her ruined hair protectively. "I can fix it myself."
