The first thing that hit Xanthe when she stepped inside the club that Maia brought her to was the loud, pounding music. It first went straight into her chest before taking over the rest of her body, rattling her bones mercilessly.
The lights were just as overwhelming, flashing and spinning that she could hardly focus on any one thing for more than a second.
People were packed in the space, moving along the chaotic rhythm like they had zero problems in life.
She stood stiffly at first, feeling out of place amidst the noise and energy. It was too strange. Too loud. Too close. However, after a few glasses of the drinks Maia gave her, she felt her discomfort melting away.
Her body began moving to the music as well, but she couldn't dance properly due to the skimpy, micro dress Maia had picked out for her. Not to mention, the strange underwear that was lodged in the crack of her butt.
