A few days after attending Professor
Devika's herbology class, Krishak received a formal summons.
The message arrived during breakfast, delivered by a uniformed academy attendant.
The boy bowed respectfully and handed over a sealed envelope.
"Young Master Krishak, the Headmaster requests your presence in his office after the afternoon session."
The surrounding students fell silent.
Even Lunafang, who was quietly eating strips of dried beast meat beneath the table, lifted his head.
A summons from the Headmaster was not an ordinary matter.
Some students looked at Krishak with envy.
Others with curiosity.
A few with barely concealed resentment.
Krishak accepted the letter calmly.
" Thank you."
Inside, however, he was mildly intrigued.
This was earlier than he had expected.
That afternoon, Krishak arrived at the tallest tower in the academy.
The office occupied the entire upper floor.
Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the sprawling campus and the distant forest.
Rows of books lined the walls.
Ancient weapons and trophies from powerful beasts were displayed on polished wooden stands.
Behind a broad desk sat Headmaster Rudra.
He was an elderly man with silver hair, a straight posture, and eyes that seemed capable of seeing through every disguise.
Krishak bowed.
"Greetings, Headmaster."
Rudra studied him for several moments.
Then he smiled.
"Please sit."
Lunafang settled beside Krishak's chair.
The headmaster's gaze lingered on the silver wolf.
"A remarkable companion."
Krishak inclined his head.
"I was fortunate.
Rudra chuckled softly.
"Fortune often favors those who are prepared."
The headmaster folded his hands.
"You have drawn a great deal of attention."
He listed the reasons calmly.
Highest-grade talent awakening.
Exceptional academic performance.
Mature temperament.
Contracting a rare spirit beast.
Extraordinary results in multiple disciplines.
Rudra leaned forward slightly.
"I have spent many decades observing young geniuses. You, Krishak, are unlike any I have seen."
Krishak met the old man's gaze without flinching.
"I am simply trying to make the best use of my opportunities."
The headmaster's eyes narrowed with interest.
A six-year-old should not have answered with such composure.
Yet Rudra did not press.
Rudra opened a drawer and removed a small silver token engraved with the academy crest.
"This is a Core Student Token."
Krishak remained silent.
The headmaster continued.
"It grants access to restricted areas of the library, advanced training facilities, and certain academy resources. Normally, such privileges are reserved for older students."
He placed the token on the desk.
"I am offering it to you now."
Krishak considered the offer. The additional access would accelerate his plans significantly.
He bowed.
"Thank you, Headmaster."
Rudra's expression grew more serious.
"With privilege comes responsibility.
He gestured toward the window overlooking the academy. "This institution was founded to nurture humanity's future. We are still a young civilization in cultivation terms. Every generation must carry us farther."
His eyes settled on Krishak.
"I believe you may one day play an important role in that journey."
Krishak accepted the token and replied respectfully.
"I will do my best."
Before Krishak left, Rudra asked one final question.
"Would you permit me to examine your companion?"
Krishak looked at Lunafang through their bond.
The cub felt cautious but not alarmed.
Krishak nodded.
Lunafang stepped forward.
Rudra extended a hand, releasing a subtle wave of spiritual perception.
The headmaster's eyebrows rose slightly.
"Excellent bloodline."
He withdrew his hand. "This Moonshadow Wolf may become a powerful ally."
Lunafang barked proudly.
As Krishak turned to leave, Rudra spoke once more.
"Talent attracts attention."
"Not all of it will be friendly."
Krishak paused.
The headmaster's voice was calm.
"Grow stronger. Protect what matters to you."
Krishak bowed deeply.
"I understand."
Outside the tower, Krishak examined the silver token.
Its value was considerable.
With access to restricted knowledge and advanced facilities, his progress would accelerate.
More importantly, it was evidence that the academy's leadership had begun to invest in him personally.
This would bring both opportunities and scrutiny.
Krishak slipped the token into his robe.
Lunafang nudged his leg.
Krishak smiled.
"Yes. We have much to do."
Together, they headed toward the library, where new doors were now open to them.
