Chapter 15 - Playing Matchmaker

Eight bamboo cups were emptied, and white insect corpses tumbled out.

These insects were tiny, even smaller than ants.

Quinn Ye reached out and touched them. They were icy cold to the touch, like shards of ice.

"These came out of your body," Quinn said to Bella Bai.

Bella looked horrified.

There were so many bugs inside me?

No wonder my hidden injury never healed.

"So, is Bella cured now?" Princess Tiffany asked with concern.

Quinn shook his head. "Probably not completely. Come back in half a month for another session. It should be mostly cleared up by then."

This was Quinn's own deduction.

If no bugs came out next time, it meant she was cured. If bugs still came out, they would continue treatment.

"Thank you, Young Master! I feel so refreshed. I've never felt this light before!"

Bella had put her clothes back on, her face flushed with excitement.

She could clearly feel the difference.

Before, her Qi and blood flow always felt sluggish, and her hands and feet were chronically cold.

But now, her circulation was smooth, and warmth was returning to her limbs.

Her body was changing for the better.

And all credit went to Quinn Ye's cupping therapy.

"No need to thank me. Helping others is the foundation of happiness," Quinn said casually.

Bella and Tiffany, however, etched these words into their hearts.

Helping others is the foundation of happiness?

Is this the mindset of an Expert?

In the cruel and cutthroat cultivation world, only a transcendent being like Quinn could truly practice such selflessness.

Their admiration for him deepened.

"Young Master Quinn, I also have a request. May I ask for your guidance?" Tiffany looked at Quinn pleadingly.

"Go ahead. Do you want cupping too?"

Tiffany shook her head. "My family, the Prince of the West's Manor, is in trouble."

"What trouble?" Quinn asked curiously.

"It's the Song Family of Xiling. They want to seize my father's territory and steal our family heirloom."

"Last time, when Chloe and I fled to the mountain, we were being chased by the Song Family's assassins," Tiffany said, still shaken by the memory.

Bella added, "The Song Family is ambitious and ruthless. They rely on their close relationship with the Prime Minister, Cao Yuanhua, and collude with the Great Elder of the Titan Sect. The Prince of the West is in a very difficult situation."

"The Song Family of Xiling? I think I've heard of them," Serena Xu mumbled, frowning.

"My father and I are out of options. Please, Expert, guide us! Save my family!"

Tiffany was about to kneel.

Quinn quickly stopped her.

"Sigh. Your dad is a Prince, right? How did your family get bullied so badly?"

Quinn was speechless.

Tiffany looked ashamed.

Although her father was a titled Prince, he was not of royal blood. In the Heavenly Martial Empire, "Different-Surname Princes" didn't have much real power.

The Song Family was different. They were a Martial Arts Clan with clouds of experts, backed by the Prime Minister and the Titan Sect.

The Prince's Manor couldn't compete. They were barely holding on.

If the Song Family wasn't slightly wary of the "Prince" title, they would have flattened the manor long ago.

"Young Master Quinn, please save Tiffany," Bella pleaded as well.

Quinn sighed.

"Actually, this problem isn't hard to solve."

Bella and Tiffany froze.

The Song Family's threat was like a thorn in their backs, a problem with no solution.

But Quinn said it wasn't hard?

"Please enlighten us, Young Master!"

Quinn pointed outside.

"Didn't you see them? The real Big Shots who can help you are standing right outside."

"You shouldn't be begging me. You should be begging them."

Tiffany and Bella were stunned.

They looked at each other.

That... makes sense!

Standing outside were the Sect Leader of the Mystic Sword Sect and the Martial Emperor himself.

If these two helped, what was a mere Song Family? They could flip the sky if they wanted to!

"Why didn't I think of that before?"

Tiffany slapped her forehead, cursing her own slowness.

She had just eaten Hot Pot with Lance and Dominic, yet she forgot to ask for their help.

So stupid!

Quinn led the three girls back to the courtyard.

"Sect Leader Xu, Your Majesty. I have something to discuss with you," Quinn took the initiative to speak.

After all, Tiffany begged him first. And since everyone met here at his place, he felt responsible for playing matchmaker.

Lance Xu and Dominic Su looked at Quinn.

"What are your instructions, Expert?" (Though Quinn heard "Brother Ye" or "Young Master" in his head, they meant "Expert").

Quinn didn't bother correcting the title anymore. He was used to it.

He explained Tiffany's situation to them.

"That's the gist of it. I'm just an idle wild crane with no ability to help her. So, I have to ask you two to lend a hand."

Hearing this, Lance and Dominic didn't know what to say.

If YOU have no ability, then what are we?

Trash?

"Rest assured, Expert. Since the Song Family is close to the Titan Sect, I will personally visit the Titan Sect and have a 'good talk' with Chad Chen," Lance was the first to step up.

He had received the most benefits from Quinn.

Breakthroughs, Heavenly Treasures, victory in the tournament. Even his disciples leveled up here.

How could he refuse such a small favor?

"Thank you, Sect Leader Xu! Thank you!" Tiffany was incredibly grateful.

Dominic stroked his beard.

"I didn't expect such rampant lawlessness right under my nose."

Dominic was angry. He had been completely unaware of this.

"I will not sit idly by. Since the Song Family has ties to Prime Minister Cao, I will go ask Cao exactly who gave him the courage to back such arrogance!"

Tiffany was overjoyed.

"Thank you, Your Majesty!"

With Lance and Dominic involved, the Prince's Manor was safe.

No matter how powerful the Song Family was, in front of these two, they were just ants.

At this moment, the Song Family had no idea their fate had been sealed over a pot of spicy soup.

Having eaten Hot Pot and gained benefits, everyone was satisfied and bid farewell to Quinn.

Quinn watched them leave.

"Sigh. It's quiet again."

Quinn looked at the empty courtyard, feeling a bit bored.

He liked liveliness.

"The mountain is too stuffy. I'll go down to the town tomorrow for a walk."

The next day, Quinn locked the courtyard gate.

Taking Big Fuzz and the Bald Rabbit, he went down to a market town at the foot of the mountain.

It was bustling with travelers from all over.

Quinn found a teahouse and took a good seat.

Inside, a Storyteller was spitting flying saliva as he passionately told a tale. The guests listened with rapt attention.

But Quinn laughed out loud.

"Pfft. What a cliché story."

His laugh drew attention. The old Storyteller looked directly at Quinn.

The other guests also glared at him angrily.
