The day at the zoo ended, but Nyx wasn't quite done with her "twin." As they left, she lingered near the monkey enclosure, eyes glinting mischievously. Bella, unsuspecting, was busy chatting about snacks and store inventory.
"Nyx?" Bella asked, noticing her friend lingering. "What are you—"
Before she could finish, Nyx had snatched the small, wiry monkey with surprising agility.
"Nyx! What are you doing?!" Bella shouted, chasing after her.
Nyx grinned, clutching the monkey to her chest. "Relax! I'm taking it to the store. It's the perfect addition to our chaos!"
Bella's eyes went wide. "Are you insane? You can't just bring a monkey into the store!"
But it was too late. Nyx had already disappeared into the night, leaving Bella fuming behind.
Back at the store, the scene was calm… at first. Vario was rearranging snacks, Bella was checking the fridge, and Yuwen was quietly eating noodles. Then a high-pitched squeak echoed through the aisles.
Nyx burst through the door, grinning like a child. "Surprise!"
And there it was: the monkey, hopping excitedly between shelves, knocking over a display of energy drinks.
Vario froze. "Is… is that—"
Bella groaned. "Nyx! I swear, if that thing—"
The monkey leapt onto the counter, swiping a bag of chips and squealing in delight. Nyx laughed, holding out her camera. "Meet your newest employee! I think he's perfect for… morale."
Bella threw her hands up. "Morale? This is chaos! He's going to destroy everything!"
The monkey responded by swinging from the hanging sign above the cashier, knocking down a row of candy bars like a tiny tornado. Vario stumbled back, trying to dodge the flying snacks.
Nyx, meanwhile, was filming the entire ordeal. "This is gold! Imagine the documentation! The Monkey Mayhem Chronicles!"
Yuwen, as always, remained unfazed. He calmly set his cup noodles down, watching the chaos unfold. "I'll just eat my dinner," he said, completely ignoring the rampaging primate.
Bella, however, was not ignoring it. "Nyx, you have two seconds to get that thing under control, or I swear I'm calling animal control!"
The monkey, seemingly understanding the threat, let out a loud chitter and leapt onto Bella's shoulder, tugging at her hair.
Vario groaned, rubbing his temples. "Why do I even—why do I live like this?"
Nyx only laughed harder. "Relax! This is exactly what the store needed—a little… chaos!"
Bella sighed, gripping a broom defensively. "This is going to be a long night."
And as the monkey swung through the aisles, knocking over displays, Nyx filmed it all with delight, capturing every squeak, jump, and snack catastrophe. The store had officially entered a new era of madness.
