Chapter 5 - 5 Dark Corridor

She stood frozen at the end of the bridge, heart pounding, hands still clutching the ring and note. The large shadow before them moved slowly, yet each step sent waves of tension through her body. The night air grew colder, and the sound of the river brushing against the wind added to the unexplainable sense of mystery.

He turned to her, his face partially hidden in the moonlight. "Ready?" he asked softly, yet firmly. There was no room for doubt, no choice but to follow.

She swallowed. Her heart rebelled – fear mingled with curiosity. But there was something in his gaze that convinced her she had to follow, even though danger lurked in every step.

Step by step, they walked along the dark corridor by the river. Every fallen leaf, every whisper of wind felt like a warning – they were entering another world, real yet full of mysteries and hidden secrets.

She remembered everything since signing the contract – the mysterious note, the first encounter, the symbolic ring, the shadow that followed. It all now felt like a game larger than her logic could comprehend.

He stopped in front of a small door at the side of the bridge. "Here," he said. The door looked ordinary, old wood decorated with green moss. Yet something about its aura made her heart race.

She raised her hand, but he held it. "This is not just a door. You need to understand that beyond this, there is no turning back," he said.

She hesitated, heart fluttering. But curiosity overpowered fear. She nodded slowly, letting herself be led inside.

Inside the room, dim light illuminated the large shadow standing there. The figure remained still, waiting. He extended his hand and said:

"If you want the truth, you must be ready to see the world from a different perspective. Everything you've known until now may only be half the truth."

Her head spun, heart racing. Was she ready? Did she truly want to know the truth behind the contract and this mysterious man?

All the questions that had accumulated since signing the contract awaited answers, and tonight would decide everything.

The large shadow stepped forward, dim light reflecting around it. He looked at her and whispered: "Prepare yourself, because what you are about to see will change your life forever."
