Chapter 4 - Borrowed Time

With 12 hours left, Leo decided to use the box offensively. He stole a napkin with Thorne's lip-print from the bar and smeared it on the glass.

The vision showed Thorne dying—not by Leo's hand, but in a vault surrounded by other glowing artifacts, consumed by one of them. The timestamp was three days from now. Meaning Thorne wasn't the only player. Someone else wanted the box enough to kill for it tonight.

Mia uncovered that The Ouroboros Circle believed the glass box could be "opened" with seven specific deaths—a ritual to unlock true immortality. Leo's predicted murder would be the sixth. His sister, who also once possessed the box briefly before her "accident," might have been the fifth.

Betrayal coiled in his gut. The client he saved in Chapter 1? He was Circle-affiliated, sent to test the box's power.

Leo set a trap—using himself as bait.
